Meeting the Ewoks

Diana moved through the tall tree's of the massive forest moon of Endor, her clothes could only be described as the worst of hill billy fashion. She was entirely decked out in camouflage robes from head to toe, even her gloves were a mix of green and brown. The attire of course was fitting when she was trying to blend into the world around her. The owners of Endor were not exactly enemies with the Republic, but they were not the friendliest of friends.

So when Diana had asked the council to undertake this little journey of self discovery they had given her the wise advice of going under the radar.

The Jedi Knight had agreed, and swiftly she had acquired a low profile ship as well as her current attire. Getting onto Endor had been rather easy, no one really payed attention to a backwoods moon in the middle of no where. At least no one who didn't know about the nexus of energies here. Long ago there had been massive death above this world, a space station had been destroyed here and hundreds of thousands of lives had been lost.

In the place of all that death now sat a nexus of the Darkside of the force. Even now on the planets surface Diana could feel it pulling at her, it was unpleasant.

Still she ignored the feeling and kept on moving towards her goal. Aside from the Darkside Nexus of the force Endor had also been the brief home of one of the most powerful Jedi Masters in history, Luke Skywalker. Diana was here to hopefully learn more about him and his exploits, hoping to use her gifts of Psychometry in order to do so. She smiled slightly as she hopped over another log, she knew she could do it.

The security of Endor had been increased since the recent raid on the planet's biological weapons research laboratory by a Rebel cell. Sargon had actually taken a number of wounds there including several burn scars up his arm that left an ugly streak of scars up to his elbow, but for all the efforts of the Fringe the Rebels had managed to destroy the stockpile, and used at least one virus on the planet itself. Such it was that a single ship landing in the middle of the jungle moon drew more attention then would normally be warranted on any planet, much less such a remote one. Normal protocol would have sent a trio of fighters, and a gunship to escort the ship to the nearest star port, and several valuable caches of smuggled goods have been found this way.

Orders from high up the chain had allowed this ship access however, an unquestionable order given it came from a member of the ruling council, Sargon Vynea, Governor of Bakura. He barely considered himself the active Governor any longer as he'd basically handed back civilian control back to the people of Bakura, but he still held sway there as commander of the 121st Legion. He'd allowed the ship through for one simple reason, the closer it came to approaching the darker regions of the moon, the clearer the one light became. In hopes that it may have just been the return of his friend Darron Wraith, a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Council, and a former teacher of Zabrak.

Taking a small shuttle Sargon set off towards the deep forests of Endor towards the shadow that lingered still over the planet, a cold feeling in your bones that the warmth of noon didn't even shake off. As his awareness moved out farther the Zabrak surrendered to the Force his senses as all his physical senses faded away into darkness as the Force lead him towards the presence of the nearby force user. Within a moment he could the signature was different then that of Master Wraith's and so he withdrew slightly as to give the force a moment. Keeping his mental barriers up Sargon walked through the thick forests leaving his presence out to be read as he approached.

Diana moved through the jungle quite quickly, hiking through the woods almost nonchalantly. She had been blissfully ignorant of the chemical weapons facility on this world, and continued to be so even now as she wandered the woods searching for one of the Ewok villages that dotted the planet. Of course when she felt the pulse of another force user within the Darkness that now cast over Endor she had been more than mildly surprised.

The Jedi Knight had never really been one for sensory techniques. She could not track prey very well through the force, or even find powerful force users really. She was better at tracking someones path after meeting them, not before.

So when she felt the ping of light all she could due was begin to bite her lip.

Diana knew that this sector of space was controlled by The lords of the Fringe, not exactly known as the friendliest of people. She didn't expect there to be a lightsider amongst them. Perhaps another Jedi had followed her here, or perhaps it was one of the Silent Conclave exploring the world as well. Diana knew many of them, and she wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to search Endor just as much as she. For a few more minutes she contemplated her options, thinking on what she could do.

Finally she made a decision. She let go of all inhibitions and attempts at stealth, letting her force aura flare like a sun. She smiled slightly, and then sat down on a large log.

The Jedi Knight still believed in people, and still believed in the force. Whoever was coming was good, and she would wait for them.

Closing his eyes the Zabrak shut off his physical sensations, he'd learned long ago how much of a lie they could be, and instead trusted to the Force to guide him as he reached through the wood towards the planet's visitor. Their strength in the Force was impressive, and such a beacon was not difficult to feel in all the darkness that still permeated Endor's surface. With due care the man approached the Jedi, not out of fear, but with the hopes of not giving the Jedi cause for fear.

Stepping through the final bits of forests that separated them the Zabrak stood silent for a moment as he saw the Jedi, most definitely not Darron Wraith, but a Jedi all the same. "Greetings, Jedi, and welcome to Endor. I am Governor Sargon Vynea of the Fringe Confederacy, it is always nice to see another visitor to the Fringe from the Republic. How may we be of service?"
