Medical Mysteries

Mandalore
Mercy Hospital

When she was home visiting her brother Ana spent time volunteering in the hospital while he got called away on business. She never blamed him after he was Mandalore things came up from time to time. She didn't mind as it gave her time to help out at the clinic where she was needed. It was sometimes actually treating patients and others it was just training new medics. Ana either way enjoyed staying busy and current on her skills.

Today she was giving some private lessons which had been requested of her. It was rather flattering as she never thought of her skills in that way. She just did what was needed to help her vode and contribute to the clan in her own way now that she had moved elsewhere. Ana had thought of preparing for this training but felt it best not to. She planned to see what [member="Sarli Ra-Suutar"] knew and go from there.

Ana was early as she normally was and while she waited she found herself checking the inventory of supplies in the back. If they needed more, she knew of a way they could cheaply get some. It looked though as if they were currently well stocked which was fine as she had another reason for being in here. She wanted to gather a few things for today just incase.

Today she was about to embark on a new journey in her life; learning the art of healing. During her stint with the Galactic Imperial Agency she had taken a course that covered the basics of first aid. It served her well then, but now that she was walking the path of a Mandalorian the basics would not be enough. Mandalorians were warriors and warriors usually found themselves in some of the most sticky situations where wounds and injuries were abundant. Plus, she wanted to expand her knowledge to helping others. Engineering and mechanics was something she prided herself on, but that alone wasn't enough to satisfy her.

Sarli entered the hospital, noticing first how well organized it was. People were busy doing one thing or another, yet still found time to stop and pick up dropped items along their routes or return items to their proper starting positions after use. Impressive. And then there was the friendliness. Along her way to meet the woman that was to train her, people stopped to greet her or at least gave her a gentle pat on her shoulder as she walked by. She frowned slightly thinking how most of the galaxy viewed Mandalorians as war mongers. If they saw them how she saw them, then people would change their ideals; but that was a far stretch in hoping.

"Excuse me, vod," Saril said to a passing woman, "I'm looking for...."

"Ana? Yes she is waiting for you in the third room on the left."

"Thank you," she replied. Wow! They were also well informed.

She rapped gently on the door and stepped inside.

"Hello. First, let me say thank you for taking time to train me."

"It's no problem, I'm Ana. Please have a seat." she smiled placing a few bandages in her basket before turning her full attention to her student. The medical supplies that Ana had collected would work for today. She had plenty of things that she could go over and anyway the she wished to learn more about her student. See what she already knew and go from there type of thing. She didn't do much private medical training so this was going to be rather impromptu though she believed that in the end it would be fine. [member="Sarli Ra-Suutar"] had gone though the trouble of looking for a teacher so Ana knew she was serious about training.

"Do you have any previous medical experience or are we starting from the beginning." She didn't want to bore her by going over something that she already knew. It was hard enough to find Mandos interested in the medical field. She wanted to cultivate that interest if at all possible. They needed more Mando's whom could tend to wounds especially with all of the battles they fought.
