Aboard Friendship One, between Lothal and Bespin:

Dune sat beside his Master aboard her ship in the copilot's seat, strapped in comfortably. They'd cleared orbit from Lothal moments before and the ball of blues, browns, whites and greens rapidly shrunk behind them. They were waiting to clear major commercial shipping lanes before jumping to hyperspace. Traffic was sparse to this relatively insignificant world but there were a handful of freighters and cargo ships going to and from.

They were off to nearby Cloud City on Bespin. Local authorities were having problems with a gang of hoodlums. Over the past year, they'd grown from street punks committing petty crimes into a serious problem. Arson, robbery, drug dealing and even murdering law enforcement. It was so bad that they'd reached out to the Order for help.

Dune looked over to the nav computer when it beeped. They were free to make the jump now and he punched the coordinates in. Looking over to the Twilek pilot, he said "Coordinates laid in. Whenever you're ready, Master."

Leina looked around in the ship, sure it was hers and sure it was cool and had al the painting of artistic awesomeness on the sides that came when you were awesomely awesome at painting with things.... Oh yeah she was cool with rainbows and unicorns there. All of it went towards her real ultimate goal of teaching and giving her padawan the best experience possible. That came in the form of missions and helping people deal with the dangerous criminl underworld as she sat there humming to herself in her seat while her lekku twitched a little. "Alright so we are going to go and I want you to be excited and happy. We are going to have such a fun time on Bespin."

[member="Leina Snowfire"] was an unorthodox Jedi, period. Dune had no idea why she'd picked him of all beings to be an apprentice. Still, he was happy to have learned so much from her. Not just anyone became a Jedi Knight, and he'd discovered a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from her.

"I will do my best," came his sober reply as she made the jump to hyperspace. The stars themselves seemed to stretch out until they were in a tunnel as the ship accelerated. Of course, the stars were fixed points and it was a trick of the eyes, he knew. It was still an amazing thing to see. "Although this all can be explained" he said while gesturing at the transperasteel viewing screen "It's still incredible to see, isn't it?"

The nav computer had laid in a course which wouldn't take long to traverse. The planets of Lothal and Bespin were tens of thousands of kilometres apart, but in the age of hyperspace engines, they were practically down the street from each other. How different space travel must have been with only sublight engines. It had taken weeks and months to travel even in your own system!

Leina was thinking about what her padawan said while she was moving in her seat. "It is pretty." She had a smile on her face as the navicomputer was beeping. "Oh my god we're going to crash.....WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE." She shouted it while running around and then stopped while she stood there with a look. "Oh almost lost my cool there." She brushed her lekku back while she was walking and getting dressed with the ship arriving in system and she looked at things. "Alright you have all of your stuff ready to go and your saber ready right?" She was all ready and prepared for this while getting her headdress for her cones closing her cloak over her saber.

The Bith shot Leina a quizzical look as she ran around. A quick glance at the instrument panel told him no problems had occurred. Additionally, the Force told him of no danger. He shook his head as he informed her that they were coming out of hyperspace.

"Yes, everything's ready, Master," he replied.

After contacting planetside authorities, they'd been given permission to land in Cloud City. Shortly thereafter, the two Jedi found themselves descending the landing ramp of Friendship One. There at the dock to meet them were local officials. "Welcome to Bespin, Master Jedi," a serious looking middle aged human man said to Leina "I'm Thax Doriana, Chief of Security here in Cloud City."

The Jedi were taken into an office at the spaceport where they were briefed on what was known of the gang. The Cloud Kings, young humans mostly in their teens and twenties but recently taken under the authority of a former Black Sun Vigo called Hahnemann. They were given what information was available on the gang members. There were now an estimated two dozen, all well-armed thanks to the ex crime boss' connection. They were also given coordinates to the warehouse where Cloud City security had spotted them.

As they left the office, headed towards the warehouse, Dune his head and said to Leina "I'm guessing a frontal assault isn't in the works?"

Leina looked at her padawan and was happy about some of the things while she was walking to meet the security chief and smiled wide showing teeth as she spoke. "Hello." She said it while looking around and gripping her saber while she looked over several of the things before letting the calming aura settle upon herself and she relaxed. "Alright you have some criminal problems here don't you, we are just the team to handle such problems. Lots of experience and positive thinking... plus bonus everyone likes a friend." She was smiling again while standign there and looking around at some of the things before letting her attention go to her datapad. "Now where would you like us to start?"

After the briefing, Master and Padawan found themselves across Cloud City in an older, less reputable part of town. Here was a place businesses crawled off to die, the Bith thought. About half the warehouses looked abandoned and the other half ready to fall over at a good shove. The streets were mostly empty and those individuals who did appear walked quickly and avoided eye contact.

"A charming part of town for a new caftap," Dune said quietly to Leina. He was glad they'd left their distinctive robes aboard Friendship One. Just walking through the streets probably seemed out of place. As they turned a corner, Dune felt a sense of danger through the Force. Meeting his Master's eyes, he knew she'd felt it before he had.

A few seconds later, three humans emerged from an alleyway to their right and a quick glance showed two more behind them. The leader, a humanoid female of perhaps twenty two with a neon green mohawk, wore a nasty grin as she stepped forward. "Well boys, looks like we have some lost tourists from the casinos!". The others, males ranging from about seventeen to twenty all wore that predatory smile.

You're on OUR turf now, Cloud King turf."

Dune replied mildly "I'm terribly sorry, we will be going...."

"Not so fast," she said as her grin widened "There's a toll you gotta pay for being on our land."

She opened her short synth leather jacket to reveal a blaster pistol and Dune knew the other goons were reaching for their own weapons....

Leina was walking with her padawan looking over most of the warehouses and strefronts as she could think of some places to work on. Sasori was always looking for things and she would have to work on some of the things to try and get their security out here to work on things. She was paying attention to some of the things with a lot of her attention going to the padawan when people arrived and she looked at them making her her saber was concealed before she brought her hands up to her face and smacked them to her cheeks. "Oh no robbers." Leina moved running back towards the two who were going for weapons and trampled into them as she rolled over and there was a sound like a pop before they were scream in pain and she held the saber with two of them clutching at their hands where she damaged the power packs to let them explode when she got back up and was moving to run away. "AHHHHHH RUNNING TIME"

Somehow, Leina had disabled two gang members in seconds. Dune didn't have time to shake his head and puzzle out how it happened. Instead, he used a hard Force shove to send the woman flying into her flunkies. They grunted and cursed as they became a pile of bodies on the ground.

He was on them in the blink of an eye, his blue blade ignited two centimetres from the pink haired woman's throat. Her eyes went wide as she stiffened. "Jedi!," she managed in a strangled voice as her eyes rolled down to the energy beam. "Yes, and we have some questions for you. Please cooperate and you won't be harmed."

About ten minutes later, Dune and Leina emerged from an alleyway. Behind them were five sleeping forms, bound and gagged. Their blasters and vibro blades were in a neat pile of smoking scrap. The gang members would wake up, unharmed of course, in a few hours. At that point, they'd be in the custody of Bespin law enforcement.

"I still have no idea how you did that, Master." Dune shook his head as they made their way towards to warehouse's rear entrance.

Leina heard the woman when her padawan had a blade to her and she named them. "Hello." She was standign there and waved her hand with a smile that was all teeth before they were talking with them and emerging from the alley. She looked over some of the things there while walking with her padawan to keep going. "Well they only saw what they wanted to see, a petite twi'lek who was scared and a Bith. THey weren't looking for the saber or for resistance." She was moving towards the rear entrance and motioning while one hand came out with the feeling and sounds of rats skittering while she spoke to them. "Go and get food, we have people all running around.that aren't nice." They were setting up some things and running off while she watched them going through some small cracks.

The Bith considered his teacher's words for a while before replying. "People see what they want, not always what's there." Nodding to himself, he decided that was true of his views initially of his Master. He didn't think she was incompetent, but he hadn't seen what the Council saw in order to Knight her.

Now he had begun to truly come to know her, but he suspected he was just scratching the surface. She was a cake, all pink frosting on the outside but the cake was many layers with surprises in each. And a lightsaber surprise in the very centre. More capable and dangerous than that sugary confectionery suggested.

She sent the Loth-rats skittering off to find food as the pair rounded another corner. Four warehouses ahead and to the right and there it was. "Not guarded," Dune observed quietly "Or so it would seem." He pointed to a discrete security camera.

"How are we going to deal with the camera, Master?"

[member="Dune Rhur"]

Leina was looking at her padawan as they were walking and he seemed to be thinking about things. She wondered what he was thinking about and she nodded her head as if in agreement silently with his thoughts before she was looking forward. "You're really weird, it is awesome." No she wasn't insightful, she was just doing that thing where you agreed and pretended to know things. It had gotten her through plenty as they came out near the warehouses and dealing with the camera's... oh how to do that. She didn't know how to ionize or flashed them but she didn't know how to communicate and talk to machines she just needed to get close. "If I can get close I can talk with it and control it but I don't know how to get around it."

[member="Leina Snowfire"]

Dune blinked in surprise. Could she read his mind? He had no idea but was thoroughly confused. He sighed and brought his attention back to the present situation.

How to distract the camera, he thought. His eyes fell on piles of refuse and he had an idea. "Do you see the garbage over there?," he said pointing "I'll use it to distract the camera long enough for you to disable it." He looked to her for her input.

[member="Dune Rhur"]

SHe looked over at the garbage and gave a nod of her head. She could get closer to it alone most likely while she was moving and focused the force leaping up to start moving. "Alright, I'll go around to stay out of its line of sight and look for others, you distract it." She said it while moving up and then running with the force padding her steps so no sound came from them. The longer way around might not be the best but it avoided detection as she lept with the force to long jump while she rolled and was reaching out to detect within a small cone the electronics. Now it was up to her padawan while she focused her mind to go into technometry and talk to the machines.. it wass just like droids only camera's didn't run over your foot with their wheels.

With his Master bounding off, Dune went into action. He reached his long-fingered hands out towards the garbage and willed it to move. Through the Force, it did move. Up the trash went, levitating towards the camera. If anyone happened to be watching, they'd probably not believe what they were seeing on screen.

He guided it in place with his gestures, forming a screen of refuse. Dune was certain his Master would remain unseen through the wall of detritus. Now it was up to her to disable the camera entirely. 'Where is she?,' he began to wonder as the seconds ticked past.

[member="Dune Rhur"]

Leina moved in when she was on the roof and seeing what he was doing while she crouched down. The air sending a chill as she reached out with her hands towards the camera and she focused her energies. Reachign into it as the force energies mingled with the electronics slowly conversing with it. Leina remained there and still speaking to herself... kind of. There was no response when she spoke but to her there was with the machines. "Yes yes we want to go in, come on we are nice people. You love us." The camera showing her the electronics system within the warehouse as she was working over it and nodding to herself. "Oh thank you, we will take down he alarms as well... see we are good friends."

There she was, working her magic. In very little time at all she turned to face him with a huge grin and two thumbs up. Making certain that he wouldn't drop garbage on her, who wanted that, he placed it in a much neater pile by the door. 'There, much better' he thought with some satisfaction. These people were quite messy.

With that, he quickly jogged over to her. "That's one problem solved," he remarked as he observed the lock. Not even a keypad, just an antiquated bolt requiring a key. It even looked rusted upon further inspection. With a sigh, he drew his lightsaber.

"Excuse me a moment, Master," he said before the blade came alive with a snap-hiss. He didn't like brute force methods but here he was given no choice. In a moment, he'd carved through the rusted durasteel bolt and the door was ready to be opened. Dune then frowned and sighed again when he noticed rusted hinges.

"I don't suppose you know of anything to fix that, Master?"

[member="Dune Rhur"]

Leina was watching him as her padawan arrived standing next to her and they were working on some of the things. Her padawans saber while she was looking at the hinges and thought about how best to get through them as she nodded her head. She knew a way to shake those hinges loose for them to get through while she rubbed her hands together then pressed them on her stomach while her mouth opened and she used mimicry with a bellow. The food they had from the ship processor coming back up as she..... "BURPPPPPP" Leina let it come out like a foghorn that rattled and shook the hinges of the door as she covered her mouth after and smelled the food. "Like burritos and beef jerky." The bellow knocking the door loose though while she nodded.

He stared, dumbfounded, for a long moment at her. He had to blink several time before he could collect himself. "Well...that works," he mumbled as they went through the doors. The back was empty, an unguarded loading bay in it's previous life.

They paused and listened with Dune finally pointing to a side room. He held up three long digits to indicate that many distinct voices. His sensitive ears made the voices out, if faintly, without aid. Slowly they crept over to the closed door.

He put his hand on the doorknob very carefully and indicated that he was about to turn it. If it was locked, maybe they'd just knock. The voices were distinct enough to pick out two males and a female, all laughing and making rough jokes. He turned the handle and...it was unlocked....

Leina looked at her padawan who seemed so very very very confused..... disturbed and most importantly well he seemed to have no idea really what to think of it or what to do. She offered one of those childlike hidden and silent giggles while walking and they were working into some of the things with the attention she had on the voices. She could make them out before moving and being careful as the door was unlocked it was worth it and she had some things ready to go in there and stop them. Leina moved the door so it was open and she was tip toeing into the room as she was beign very very quiet.. they were looking for criminals.
