Description: The 'Birdy' droid was a creation made to fufill a personal droid request from an Ithorian customer, one meant to capture or kill small game such as rodents, while havving the appearance of hunting birds used by falconeers. The 'Birdy' droid moves with miniature repulsor engines located in it's chest and below it's tail, steering with it's tail and wings to give the illusion that it's flying in the same manner as an organic bird. Part of the request was for the droid to be able to grasp small game with it's talons- so powerful and extremely sharp durasteel talons were added, capable of grasping onto and[ picking up anything from mice to lizards to housecats and small dogs. In order to stop prey from struggling, Makkik also added a hollow beak capable of injecting poison stored in a small tank in the back of the droid. The tank can contain up to 20mg of fluid, releasing all of it in one bite, and requiring refilling afterwards, as the beak was simply a 'back-up' tool for killing small game, and the talons were designed to be the droid's main 'weapon'. Also, in order to help track prey, the droid is equiped with a basic targeting system (enough to not be distracted if multiple mice are running around) an d heat-sensing optics, in case it's prey attempts to hide. However; the droid also comes with many faults. It is not armored, and strong fangs or claws can easily damage it. A blaster bolt or slugthrower slug could probably rip it apart. Also it does not have the intelligence of many droids, as part of the request was to have it act as much like an eagle as possible- though the mannerisms of hunting birds, as well as recordings of various sounds predatory birds are known to make have been programmed into it.

In short; it's a robotic hunting falcon. Nothing more, nothing less.
