Maneuverability Rating: 10 Poor
Speed Rating: 9 Average
Hyperdrive Class: Class 2

Special Features:
Very Very Heavy Shielding
Redundant Systems

Strengths:
Hardened Systems - The Class is built for defense and has redundancies on all systems.
Quad Redundancy Shielding - The Delpus4 shielding gives the vessel 5 layers of shielding

Weaknesses:
Light Armament - The Danios-class is built to out last its enemies. Lighter weapons with higher fire rates are installed to fight a battle of attrition slowly wearing down enemies.
Light Armor - Only a thin layer of 9095-T8511 Durasteel Hull Armor protects the ship
Expensive - Advanced building techniques and redundancies, makes the Danios-class Corvette cost as much as most cruisers currently produced throughout the galaxy.
Tough to repair - Once damage has gotten through the various redundancies they are very difficult to repair and require docking at a Mon Calamari Shipyards facility for repair.
Poor Maneuvering - Because of the Mass of the vessel it's maneuvering systems must work harder to course correct.

Description:

The MCC25 Danios-class is the first of the new MC ship line being engineered by the team at Mon Calamari Shipyards. Utilizing old Mon Calamari design techniques and new innovations based upon them, Mon Calamari Shipyards ushers in a new era in ship building.
Designed as the ancient ships of the Mon Calamari, the new MC vessels are based on the principle of defense over offense. Favoring heavy redundancies and powerful shielding the ships of the new MC line are meant to face off against enemies and outlast them in a war of attrition.

A Borealis Reactor Core is positioned aft of the hanger which powers the multiple redundant systems of the vessel. Wrapped in banks of redundant capacitors the class has a stable power system more powerful than most cruisers currently being fielded throughout the galaxy. While impressive this is a necessity rather another redundancy as the Danios-class weapons and shielding systems, as well as the multiple redundant systems, draw power equal to that of a much larger vessel. The power core of the ship is wrapped in its own contained armored structure and ejectable if it is damaged. A smaller secondary antimatter reactor positioned aft of the main reactor can power the vessels engines and the shielding at a single layer level, but none of the redundant systems or weapons, long enough for the ship to escape and make it to a certified Mon Calamari drydock for repairs.

Three Sossen-IV Ion Drives make up the main drive system for the Danios-class. Two drives are positioned on the lateral flanks of the ship in armored pods. The third drive is located on the ventral hull. These systems give the class an average sublight speed for a corvette class vessel allowing the ship to outrun most larger ships it can not overpower with its systems. While the class has an average speed its maneuvering thruster systems and retro thruster were not seen as a priority for the vessels design and therefore, are only minimally efficient and give the class poor maneuvering for a corvette class vessel.

One MC1010 Delpus4-class Shield Projectors cover the Danios-class in five layers of shielding. this shield projectors give the Danios-class formidable shielding and protection. Installed amidships above the hanger, the projector field offer heavier shield then other ships of her class.

Four MC1009 Afane-class Rapid Fire Turbolaser Cannon positioned on the forward section of the flanking engine pods can engage targets in a full one hundred and eighty degree arc from the zero axis on the front to the zero axis of the rear. This gives all four turrets the ability to target forward and aft. Two KD12-1 "Interceptor" Defensive Batteries are positioned on the lateral flanks of the ship giving each flank coverage. These advanced defensive systems are feed from internal magazines housing various types of defensive ordinance such as chaff, flak, plasma and proximity, and ionic charges. Six MC1001 Barracuda-class Point Defense Lasees spread over the hull give the Danios-class a full three hundred and sixty degrees of protection from attack craft and incoming projectiles.

This is tougher than the standard carrier template by a significant degree.

Both your shielding system and advanced armour are Limited in production.

You armour system states:

Standard armor is very effective and works well but with new more powerful weapons we need something a bit more dense and stronger. Neualuquad Armor is the Answer. This sophisticated armor is a layered armor, this means there are multiple plate laid over each other. The interior most plate is made of Neutronium. This dense alloy offers a fare better interior strength to thst of the standard armor of starships. It contains internal explosions caused by who knows what and keeps these disasters contained batter than older armor. This helps keep the vessel in the fight longer and prevents secondary damage standard armor would not prevent. The next five layers are a sandwich plate of Quadranium Steel and Alusteel mesh. Three layers of Alusteel Mesh plate sandwich two layers of Quadranium Steel plate to give the armor a massively dense property which aids in protecting it from both kinetic and heat Damage. A second layer of Neutronium makes the sandwich layer complete. The top most layer is a thin layer of Nutorium which provides anti-scanning properties. The resulting layered armor is thinner and as dense if not more, than most other armor used in starship manufacturing, yet offers the same protection. This allows the Mon Calamari Engineers to maximize space internally without sacrificing armor protection.

Weaknesses:
* Heavier per square meter than most other armor

OOC Note: Will require development thread for installation for the Stealth Properties

You shield system states:

* Power Consumption - Due to operational power requirements, vessels utilizing the Delphus shield system require power normally dedicated for weapons. This limits the offensive capabilities of the ship slightly. (Takes up 4 capital guns each for gun consolidation.)

Are you saying that this vessel can only use two layers of shielding when the weapons are powered down, or have you already accounted for this in the stats?

Currently if you:
  • Removed the Armour and its benefits;
  • kept the same stats;
  • dropped production to Limited;
  • Accounted for the power draw of these shields for such a small vessel in some meaningful way (maybe it can't use engines with more than one layer up?).
I'd be able to approve.

Removed advanced armor
Lowered production to limited
Lowered armament rating to 4
Added poor maneuvering as weakness
Removed stealth capabilities from special features
Removed Stealth armor from Strengths
Increased maneuvering rating to 10
Corrected everything in description.

As for the power draw. The reactor is high output so it would have more then enough power for the systems to operate
I have two strengths, redundancy and heavy shielding. I have 5 weaknesses. I understand 2 of them are not really weaknesses but I added them to express the ships very advanced construction. as they do not count I can remove them if you like but would like to keep them even though they do not matter. Maneuvering is much lower than the example The light armament weakness and rating of 4 is on line with the example, but it is still very light for a max sized ship. I reduced the production and have development now. With my developemnt not being needed for the stealth now, I will put it towards the higher defense rating.

The shielding requires to be added to the overall gun count. They count as 4 guns each or 4 laser. SO the count is now 8/0/28
I removed 2 weapons systems and 1 shield projector making it 8/0/16 for weapons and 0/0/4 for shielding bringing it back to 8/0/20
