Description: Seeing a lack in the current market, the engineers at MCS created a Interdictor vessel for sale to the open market. By stripping down one of the current line corvettes and restructuring the hull and removing many of the internal systems and compartments. moving the power core aft twenty meters and restructuring the internal bracing and power systems the Engineering team were able to attach an Interdicting gravity well projector to the hull of the corvette. This vessel fills the need for an open market interdiction vessel for MCS customers.
The prow of the vessel was fitted with a gravity mine launcher to further support the vessels designed role as a hyperspace Interdiction platform. The crafts original offensive armament has been removed to make room for the gravity well generator but still retains much of its defensive weapon power. Two heavy defense batteries amidships provide close defensive support for protection from attack craft and projectiles. Two countermeasure batteries further boost the defensive power of the vessel giving the Tangler class an impressive defensive armament. To assist the gravity well projector in interdiction the vessel has a gravity mine launcher with a magazine of 12 interdiction gravity mines.
