Rationale:
Mastercraft Alloys Ltd. was founded by Braith Achlys a short time after her departure from Pax Insul in 845 ABY. Having created a type of fabric that acts similarly to glistaweb, a Yuuzhan Vong biot that some opt to wear as clothing, the witch was able to find a niche market for the fabric, dubbed 'Simmersilk', and her services via alchemy shortly thereafter. As demand for both Simmersilk and her own specialty grew the logistics of individually fulfilling requests on her own, as well as procuring materials to do so, became impractical and Mastercraft Alloys Ltd. was born. Starting out on Mustafar and Abraxas, two planets with a large source of the resources necessary for metallurgy, the company had a modest initial showing and steadily grew into what it is today.

Mastercraft Alloys Ltd. (or M.A ltd.) is a privately owned enterprise based out of Mustafar with locations across Abraxas, Samovar, Wadi Raffa, and Pax Insul. Through its initial push into mining and ore refinery and under the leadership of master alchemist Braith Achlys, Mastercraft Alloys ltd. offers boutique alchemy services while also providing mining services and refined ores to other manufacturers. All employees, from miners to apprentice alchemists and factory workers, earn one one thousandth of each week's profits with the rest continuously being reinvested into the company through benefits and better pay for employees.
The primary focus of the mining and refining side of the company is to ensure its alchemy services has a constant supply of raw materials to utilize without needing to rely on secondary and tertiary entities, while it sells its excess materials and ore on the open market to other companies and system governments. With its alchemy services operating on a more boutique scale M.A ltd. only offers commissioned work except in special cases, with larger bulk orders being more simple in scope but also costing less as compared to the more expensive and sophisticated offerings at lower production levels. All alchemical works are either performed by or performed under the direct supervision of Braith Achlys, a master of traditional alchemy, while the other side of the company is operated by a board of executives made up of representatives from each sector of business that M.A ltd. operates as well as individual factory and mining locations.
