Odessen is a planet located in the Wild Space, close to the Unknown Regions, that has a strong connection to the Force. A world with significant oceans and mountainous continents, Odessen has a mild climate and a variety of wildlife among its forested terrain. An unsettled and unimportant world for the most part.

Yeah right. That is the official word on it at least. Reality was quite different. There was said to be an old fortification of some kind here. A base that both those of the Dark and the Light Side worked together for a common good holed up and defended against a much larger foe. The planet itself was an incredible experience to behold, not merely in the atmosphere, the climate, or the topography. The Force in balance the way it was, it was clean and uninhibited. This could be a fun day if he was not here for “worK’ that “work” was the very fortification from rumors and stories. It was said to have housed a repository full of relics and ancient weapons.

2pwZ0kc.jpg
He had no interest in any of them.

What he was looking for was something entirely different, an item of historical obscurity but something that if in the wrong hands could potentially cause a galaxy of issues. Connel was here to not let that happen. Setting down in a forest nearby to where he was headed, the young Shadow geared up.

Location: Aboard Relliks IV-9 RangeMaster Scout Ship

Listening to holocron's left by his father Rellik pondered the legends he spoke of. Lord Kakus as he was known would often speak to his sons of Valkorion. The sith emperor who left to the unknown regions of space. There he raised two boys in a similar matter to how he was. A major difference between the two was that Valkorion left his sons to fight for their place, where as Kakus always told them of where they would be.

Rellik took some time to look more into the history of Valkorion. Supposedly the coalition that defeated him amassed their armies on a planet named Odessen. To defeat such a strong enemy the coalition must have had amazing tricks and warriors of their own. Including relics of which the Lord would want to take as his own prize being a collector himself.

It was settled then. Rellik called to his litigation droid Onyx while moving to the cockpit.
"Onyx, hail Diarchy intelligence command. I need the head of the divison to provide me with a wayfinder to this planet in wild space. Also inform Darth Reign I am going on an expedition. I will not be back for some time and make sure he knows not to worry." The droid responded with his usual promptness. "Yes my master."

A few days went by and the head of intelligence gave what was needed. In a prompt manner Rellik attached the wayfinder and off he went.

This would surely be a great look into the past.

Connel was still well enough away from the “Base” or where it once was, who knows, it’s been thousands of years after all, before he needed to stop and check his bearings. The planet was teeming with life and if he were on vacation, he would stop to appreciate it, but this was work and it was going to be difficult. Sure, he knew well enough where he was going, but there was the question of what was now on Odessen compared to what once was.

The twin suns of Odessen hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the rugged terrain. Connel Vanagor, moved with purpose through the dense underbrush, his senses attuned to the whispers of the Force that surrounded him. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and the distant sound of cascading water, but Connel’s focus was on the ancient Alliance base that lay ahead, a relic of a time when the galaxy was embroiled in conflict.

Connel had come to Odessen seeking answers. The Jedi Order had been fractured, and the remnants of the Sith were stirring once more. As a Shadow, his role was to operate in the dark, gathering intelligence and eliminating threats before they could manifest. But this mission felt different. The Force had guided him here, and he could sense a disturbance that beckoned him deeper into the heart of the Alliance’s past.

As he approached the base still some distance away but in eyesight of the structure, the crumbling stone walls loomed before him, overgrown with vines and moss. The structure was a testament to the resilience of those who had fought for the light, but it also bore the scars of countless battles. Connel paused, allowing the Force to wash over him, seeking any signs of danger. The base was quiet, but he could feel the echoes of the past reverberating through the air.

“Stay alert,” he murmured to himself, drawing his hood over his head. The shadows were his allies, and he would need every advantage in this place.

Pushing through the heavy doors to a gate that once stood as a perimeter guard over a mile away, Connel stepped into the dimly lit flora and fauna. The air was stale, filled with the remnants of old machinery and the faint scent of burnt circuitry. He pulled his combat shield and followed the path ahead. The rock walls were lined with faded murals depicting the heroes of the Alliance, their faces frozen in time, forever fighting against the encroaching darkness.

As he moved deeper towards the base, Connel’s instincts kicked in. He could feel the presence of others—faint, but unmistakable. They were not Sith, but neither were they allies. Shadows danced at the edges of his vision, and he knew he was not alone.

Show yourself, he called out, his voice steady. The Force thrummed around him, ready to respond to any threat.

From the shadows emerged a figure cloaked in dark robes, their face obscured by a hood. Connel’s grip tightened on his lightsaber, but he did not ignite it. The figure raised a hand, revealing a glimmering silver pendant—a symbol of the Alliance.

“I mean you no harm, Jedi,” the figure said, their voice low and calm. “I am Kira, a historian of the Alliance. I’ve come to uncover the secrets of this place.”

Connel studied Kira, sensing a mixture of curiosity and determination. What do you seek here? he asked, lowering his weapon slightly.

“The truth,” Kira replied, stepping closer. “There are whispers of a hidden archive, a repository of knowledge that could change the tide of our struggle against the Sith. I believe it lies within these walls.”

Connel considered her words. The archives of the Alliance were legendary, filled with strategies, secrets, and the wisdom of those who had come before. If Kira was telling the truth, then this could be a valuable opportunity. But he also sensed a deeper purpose within her—a quest that went beyond mere knowledge.

Then we should work together, Connel said, his voice firm. But we must be cautious. The Force has warned me of a disturbance here.

Kira nodded, her expression serious. “I’ve felt it too. There are remnants of the dark side lingering in this place. We must tread carefully.”

Together, they ventured toward the base, navigating through the labyrinthine corridors finally reaching an entrance. The air grew colder, and the shadows seemed to thicken around them. Connel’s instincts were on high alert, and he could feel the weight of unseen eyes watching their every move.

2pwZ0kc.jpg
As they reached a large chamber, Connel’s heart raced. The room was filled with ancient consoles and holographic projectors, remnants of a bygone era. In the center stood a massive stone pedestal, its surface etched with intricate symbols that pulsed faintly with energy.

“This must be it,” Kira breathed, stepping forward. “The archive.”

Connel approached cautiously, examining the pedestal. We need to activate it, but we must be prepared for anything.

Kira nodded, her fingers dancing over the controls. As she worked, Connel closed his eyes, reaching out with the Force. He could feel the energy of the archive awakening, but with it came a surge of darkness—a malevolent presence that sent a chill down his spine.

“Connel!” Kira shouted, her voice breaking through his concentration. “Look out!”

(OOC Note- They're not there already, in one of the Outter lying areas.)

LOCATION: Odessen

Finally arriving on the planet Odessen Rellik took in the amazing atmosphere. Landing in an open clearing it was clear to see this planet was teeming with life still. Not knowing any of the terrain Rellik sat down and meditated. He began to be flooded with history and emotions. The swell in the force was immense. It felt as though some of the greatest warriors of all time have been on this world. It was an intense flurry of power and feelings to cipher through.

After spending some time alone working through the mess of time Rellik had zoned in on something different. Ancient power emanating from what appeared to be a fortress. It was time to move. Using the force to augment his speed Rellik dashed through the trees.

The dark lord had come upon a waterfall overlooking the fortress. There was a large shuttle bay that lead into a courtyard. Multiple different entrances. The base itself was walled off with different gates. The interesting thing would be which way the lord himself would decide to enter.

"Well if I did not want excitement I would not have come." Jumping from the hill Rellik went directly into the lake below. Rising from the waters he peered into the environment. A fascinating structure now succumbed to overgrowth. Statues to commemorate fallen hero's.

Stepping out of the waters Rellik moved to some of the overgrowth nearby, feeding off of the small lake. There he would strip and dry his clothes. Taking this time to access the world around him the Lord meditated again. Interestingly he noticed something peculiar. He was not alone. However feint the trace was through his meditations before he could tell this felt different. With a devious and fascinated grin Rellik stood up immediately.
"I knew this would not just be a normal scavenger hunt."

With that he stood up, determined to follow his new prey he auspiciously moved as he felt little force from the user within.

“Look out!”

The twin suns of Odessen hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the ancient ruins of the Alliance Base. Once a bustling hub of the Galactic Alliance, it now lay in eerie silence, overgrown with vines and encroaching foliage. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and the distant echoes of forgotten battles.

Jedi Shadow, a cloaked figure with a reputation for stealth and cunning, moved silently through the underbrush. His keen senses were attuned to the slightest rustle, the faintest whisper of the Force. He had come to Odessen on a mission, but fate had other plans. A falling structure targeted the Jedi’s head. Pushing the falling weapon away through the Force before hitting its target, Connel looked back at his unintended companion.

Kira, an archaeologist with a passion for the lost histories of the galaxy, and known for her relentless pursuit of ancient knowledge. Her auburn hair glinted in the fading light, and her eyes sparkled with excitement as she brushed away debris from a weathered console. scanned the horizon with her keen eyes. Her auburn hair caught the light, framing her face as she pulled out a small holo-projector. The device flickered to life, displaying a map of the long-abandoned Alliance base they were about to explore.

"According to the records, this base was operational during the height of the Great War," Kira said, her voice tinged with excitement. "It was a hub for intelligence operations, but it was abandoned after the Treaty of Coruscant. No one has set foot here in years."

Four Thousand of them.

Connel nodded, his mind already attuned to the Force. He could feel the remnants of the past swirling around them, echoes of battles fought and lives lost. We should proceed with caution. The Force is strong here, but it can also be deceptive.

As they made their way toward the base, the landscape shifted from rocky outcrops to a dense thicket of trees, their gnarled roots twisting like the fingers of ancient giants. The path was overgrown, but Kira moved with purpose, her enthusiasm infectious. Connel admired her determination; she was driven by a thirst for knowledge that rivaled even his own commitment to the New Jedi Order.

After a short trek, they finally arrived at the entrance of the Alliance base, a massive structure partially obscured by vines and foliage. The once-proud walls were now crumbling, but the insignia of the Alliance still stood out, a testament to the hope it once represented. Kira activated her holo-projector again, illuminating the entrance with a soft blue glow.

"Here it is," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Let’s see what secrets it holds."

Connel stepped forward, his senses heightened, he sensed a ripple, but could not put his finger on it. The air inside the base was stale, filled with the weight of forgotten memories. As they moved deeper into the structure, the dim light revealed remnants of the past: old consoles flickering with static, scattered data pads, and faded holo-images of soldiers and strategists in their prime.

Kira knelt beside a console, brushing away layers of dust. "This could contain valuable information about the Alliance's operations," she said, her fingers dancing over the controls. The screen flickered to life, displaying a series of encrypted files. "If I can just—"

Suddenly, a low rumble echoed through the base, causing the walls to tremble. Connel instinctively reached for his lightsaber, igniting the blade with a snap-hiss. The blue glow illuminated the darkened corridor, casting eerie shadows that danced along the walls.

2pwZ0kc.jpg
"What was that?" Kira asked, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and excitement.

Stay close, Connel instructed, his voice steady. We need to find the source of that disturbance.

As they ventured further into the base, the rumbling grew louder, accompanied by a series of mechanical whirs and clanks. They turned a corner and found themselves in a large chamber, its ceiling towering above them. In the center stood a massive droid, its frame rusted and covered in vines, but its eyes glowed with a menacing red light.

"Intruders detected," the droid intoned, its voice a cold, metallic echo. "Initiating defense protocols."

Connel's heart raced. Kira, get back! He stepped forward, lightsaber raised, ready to defend against the ancient guardian of the base. The droid's arms whirred to life, transforming into weapons as it advanced.

With a swift motion, Connel deflected the first blast of energy, the bolt sizzling past him and striking the wall. He focused on the Force, channeling it into his movements as he engaged the droid. Kira, meanwhile, scrambled to find cover, her eyes darting between the combat and the console she had been working on.

"Connel, I think I can override its systems!" she shouted, her voice barely audible over the chaos. "Just hold it off for a moment!"

The droid lunged at Connel, its metallic limbs swinging with surprising speed. He dodged to the side, using the Force to enhance his agility. With a swift strike, he severed one of the droid's arms, but it continued to advance, unfazed.

"Just a little longer…”

The suns were dimming on this world and the Dark Lord was keen to find an entrance while there was still light. He moved quickly to the fortress coming up on the side of the immense structure.

After taking some time to look around he noticed a hole in the facility where it appears something had blasted through the structure at one point. Probably from a battle many thousands of years ago. Upon approaching the hole he realized the reason maintenance was never done on it was the entry point was to a storage room that had never been resupplied.
"Must have been one hell of a reason to abandon a fortress like this. I shouldn't let my guard down. Especially with the small pull of the force I am sensing"

With that Rellik traveled through the abandoned base or sub base floor. There he accessed an elevator. Noticing the wiring was out the Dark Lord would have to go upward the old fashioned way. He activated his Red saber and pierced through the elevator door, than through the ceiling to the shaft above. He decided he would start at the top and work his way down when suddenly he felt a strong rumbling through the fortress.

"What was that?!" He muttered to himself while preparing to leap upward. Instead of trying to move towards the rumbling he decided it would be best to let it be while he searched for lost artifacts. Whatever it was it might hopefully kill whoever else was in the area.

Leaping several floors upward Rellik hung himself from some of the elevator cables as he cut through the door to the top floor. Here he would search for any of the leaderships personal cabins.

Having moved through a hallway that joined several rooms together, Rellik found himself in a large chamber. Several holocrons placed upon alters surrounding grounds which appeared to be used for meditation and study. Here he believed would be his best opportunity to look into the past and find secrets, treasure and power.

Kneeling down in the center of the room while hearing what sounded like blasters firing on the floors beneath him the Dark Lord meditated on the past. Pulling holocrons one by one and listening to the teachings and stories of old masters. Coming across one including Darth Marr that peaked his interest. Thinking he might still be here by the time whoever else was in the fortress would reach him Rellik created an Illusion of himself meditating in the center of the adjoining hallways that lead to where he was. Giving himself enough time and awareness if someone were to approach.

Here he stayed, hoping to find secrets in his meditation, locked chambers to treasure or if anything - Lessons from the past.

Finally having destroyed the droid, Connel stood there, his breath short, he looked to be a little bit annoyed as she finally managed to get through the systems and “shut it down”. She of course did not know that her actions were “moot” at this point and it did not really matter. They could move on and down further and that was all that really mattered.

Until…

“What?” She asked, noticing Connel looking around puzzled. “Did you find something?”

2pwZ0kc.jpg
Not something, Connel offered, his voice steady. Someone], someone to whom I believe might be the source of this disturbance that I am sensing.

Checking his gear, he looked to the paleontologist, steeling himself.

Keep going further. I’ll hold off this individual and keep whoever they are from getting to you. He turned and faced what would be the most logical pathway that whoever was following them would take.

Although the Dark Lord was able to gather much information from the holocrons here he was not able to find a prize worthy of leaving with. He could feel the boiling rage of plans unfolding. Intelligence gathering, travel, operatives. All of this going to waste in a useless jungle on a forgotten planet. Out of all the adventures he had been on this one seemed unworthy of Relliks time. Nothing enraged the Dark Lord more than wasting his own time. There must be a pinnacle or it is worthless.

"This is futile. It is time to see what is causing so much nuisance on the levels below." With that Rellik began his descent to where he heard blasters earlier. "Hmm, however faint this persons force is I should not underestimate it. The ability to shroud ones being is a treacherous technique."

Coming through a corridor he entered and stood at the entryway to a large open room. A large battle droid lay sprawled out on the floor with a towering man in the center. Staring directly at the Lord.

"Ah I see, so my feelings were true. A jedi, and a big one at that." Typically the Diarchy gives people a chance to introduce themselves and gauge their eagerness for combat. Today though, Rellik was in his childish behavior of being denied his schemes pinnacle. Blinded by his fury he immediately sought to attack this interloper.

Darth Rellik un-sheathed his saber. Sword at his side in a goading manner he stood at the top of the stairs beginning to taunt his opponent.

"Ha Ha, have you come to fantasize upon the power you will never have Jedi? Here to train against old worn down droids or are you ready for a real fight?! Do you hold cowardice in your heart?!"

Simultaneously he began to try to seed arrogance into the mans mind. Using active battle meditation to attempt make his opponents initial attack un-coordinated and sloppy.

Within a moment Rellik flipped over the giant of a man in a feint attack. Appearing as though he would go for his head, he merely used his blade to block any counter as he tried to get to the mans backside.

… and there he was…

A Dark Lord… a talkative Dark Lord… clearly here to find the strongroom that held the mask that he was looking for. No real surprise, but he had to make sure that the one who didn’t sign up for this would not be noticed. That she would make it to her goal and get out safely. He could leave empty handed and have no issue if he knew that the innocent was safe.

Two words… Breath… mint…

This guy was clearly an arrogant one, probably has rarely come across another who could challenge him so he had become complacent. So… why not have a little fun. Starting to tremble in mock rage, Connel focused on a deep thought of an argument he had with someone long ago, someone nameless that he would never see again to add credibility to his acting.

How dare you… you’re going to ffft… Then, he burst into laughter, unable to keep the ruse going.

2pwZ0kc.jpg
I mean seriously, did you really think that was going to do anything? Connel gasped in mock concern. A Sith trying to use mockery and intimidation… who would have thought?

Checking his gear, he looked down at his boots for a moment, clearly taking his eyes off of the Sorceror, but his mind’s eye paying full attention.

Clearly you are convinced of your own press, and that is fine, I won’t even bother with the usual hyperbole about the Light Side, but do yourself a favor. He then reached into a pocket in his webgear and pulled out a small sleeve and tossed it at the feet of Relik. Breathmints. Please take as many as you want, seriously, I can smell you from here.

IMPUDENCE

The Wampa of a sized man obviously did not fall for Relliks tricks. Clearly seeing through the illusion that first entered the room and flipped over him, than blatantly throwing candy at the real Sith Lord. The whole time taunting him, this was surely going to become a real fight sooner than later.

Pulling out a small communicator Rellik whispered something into it before bringing his attention back to the Jedi.

"Ah not so easily tricked than? I was hoping for a mindless brute but got a jester instead. So be it, let us see if your skill with a blade is worth as much as your mouth."

There would be no tricks this time from the Sith. Doffing his outer robes he would directly face the giant and challenge him.
Leaning back with his blade horizontal to his face in his right hand only several meters from his opponent typical of Soresu, The Dark Lord dashed forward quickly with a light stab directly towards his opponents chest pushing from his leaned back position.

Wow… soooo not going to take the breath mints? Letting out a sigh and steeling himself… still mocking… Alright, at least I can practice my breathing control…

Was this guy not paying attention? Sure, he’s a practitioner of Soresu, something that truly was surprising, considering it is primarily defensive. That was okay though as, so was Connel, so he knew what to expect. Of course he wasn’t stupid, it could be just the pose and then… there it is, a fast strike.

Right into his combat shield.

PWAH(like he was holding his breath but finally caught it)…Seriously, do your eyes work? RIGHT at my shield? Come on, at least make it challenging. You know what? I’ll make it a fair fight. Slipping the shield over his back and pulling out his light, and shortsaber, then stopping himself, shaking his head and putting away the shortsaber, Connel ignited the permafrost blade and held it diagonally down and to his side. .

2pwZ0kc.jpg
PWAH Wanna try again? Be wary though. I know the third form as well. I mean, you're right. I'm not the "Vanagor" that is a brute. That's my father, but do yourself a favor. Don't call him "mindless"... He shook his head "no" vigorously. That will backfire on you, big time. He was well aware of just how dangerous and powerful Relik was, only a fool would ignore that, but Connel was going to hold his attention as long as he could. Kira needed the chance, and the time. Now, are we done messing around? Are we going to fight? Or are you going to run?

Swinging the blade in a “moon” arc with his right hand, he stood there waiting. I mean, if you want me to continue to be snarky, or make jokes about your breath… I mean I can... Ronto Breath… I have plenty more I can pull out, like whatever died in your gums… but frankly… it’s going to get boring. Like your dentist’s office.[/COLOR

There were many intrusive thoughts going through Relliks mind in this moment. Who was distracting whom. Rellik has agents inside the fortress currently who he communicated with before the fight began and was hoping to distract the Jedi long enough for him to not notice. Was this Jedi a fool, arrogant or did he have his own motives. Surely a proficient fighter would understand a light stab is a probing attack, not meant to do any damage at all. There is a shadow around him, making it hard for Rellik to peer into his mind and find his intensions.

It does not matter truly, Rellik has not had a challenge in a long time. Even if he seems to be either the jester or a deciever it will not change the lightsaber duel itself. Should Rellik leave himself open, or continue to prod into the large mans defenses and mind. He obviously came well equipped so it is hard to believe he is a moron.

"What is your business here Jedi? If you wanted to have a conversation suited for a cantina you could have gone anywhere in the galaxy. Your reaction to my initiation of a duel was, ahhh to say disappointing. A man of your stature and aura would obviously have been in some fights. What game are you playing?"

At that moment Rellik turned his back to the man. If he wants to join in this duel in more than words than he would need to take some initiative. If it is just words than that is all Rellik will need to let his agent escape with any found artifacts. In aura and stature alone the Jedi should feel at an advantage. What is his priority here.

Rellik took a step away from the giant just enough so that if he were to attack he would need to take a step forward. Allowing the Sith time to react.

Was this crap actually working? Was he actually getting into this Sith’s head? Good. That meant that he could keep him distracted long enough for that historian to find the strongroom and find that mask.

What the? Are you hitting on me? Holding his hands up as if to back away.Look, I’m not being judgmental… a bit flattered actually, but I’m only into the opposite sex. I mean, if you care that much... I like long walks on the beach, romantic dinners, and women who laugh at my jokes.

2pwZ0kc.jpg
Now the guy is turning his back. Aw come on. Don’t be like that. Come on. You’ll find other guys. You wouldn’t like me anyway. I leave my socks out… I’m lactose intolerant… Now this was getting fun, if the Sith wanted to fight, they could fight, if not… well…

For one who feigns so much intelligence, you know so little about Jedi… we don’t throw the first punch…generally as a rule.

Alright.

I mean, Tall - Muscular - Proficient in the force. Rellik was now thinking to himself. "Am I hitting on him?"

Alright at this point the Dark Lord was mighty confused. Responding to the obvious jests of the Jedi and enjoying every moment of it. "You know, the Dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities, it is 902 ABY I could become a women. I am also an illusionist so." Now kind of bewildered and looking confused yet insane towards the Jedi. Was he joking?

Rellik reminded himself of the operative he had planted on this world earlier wondering if that is who the Jedi was protecting. Was this some large game of "Who can confuse the other more?" and was the Jedi winning? Meh, who cares! At least Rellik was finally having some fun and he might have met someone as insane as him!

"Hey! That is why I sent a delicate probing attack. I used an illusion to jump over you and tried stabbing you! "Jedi don't attack first". He said mockingly. "I tried, come on! A dance is a party for two!"

The Dark Lord pressed a transmitter button he had on him, informing his agent to hurry. Within the next few confrontations the "Historian ""Kira"" would be leaving with him or be left behind." Secretly he was kind of wishing he had a carbonite tool on him. So he could take this amusing Jedi with him. He may be starting to love his personality. What a great play thing!

No, this was something else… this wasn’t working. The Sith was stalling. The question is, what was he stalling for?

Whoah! Holding his hands up still, only this time he was backing away.”Illusionist”? You mean ”delusional” If you want to be a woman, be a woman, but leave out of that game.

2pwZ0kc.jpg
He was trying to play Connel’s insult game right now, but he was behind in points. Yeah, my Master, tough but fair instructor, he taught me that we don’t hit first.

He smirked, not caring whether he could be seen or not. He taught me that it’s okay to hit last though. Now this was getting fun, if the Sith wanted to fight, they could fight, if not… well…

Pulling one of his Throwing Lightknives and slinging it at the device that Relik just pressed he wondered. Here I thought it would be just you and me… It was a bluff, he didn’t know what it was.

"I have it!" A familiar voice came from behind him.

Lord Rellik recoiled when the device in his hand was struck with a throwing knife. "Preaching Jedi lessons while using unconventional tactics in the same breath, did we just become best friends?" The Dark Lord had a genuine smile on his face.

As he was rearing to speak again another voice came out from behind the Jedi.
"Ahh it seems ruining my communicator was not in vein. I was just wondering where you were." He said directly to Kira.

"Well Jedi, it appears my task here is done. I have grown quite fond of you. I do not wish to finish this fight here today but instead to see where the Whills of the force will have us meet again. Now Kira, come with me. It is time to leave. Say goodbye to my new friend"

"Oh and if you did have a hand in it, Thank you for keeping Kira safe as she gathered these artifacts for me. As well as for making this trip worth its weight in gold. I hope to see you again Vanagar."

The Dark Lord put a subspace transceiver on the ground. "Call me anytime babe" Rellik said with a smirk and a wink. With that he turned to leave. Calling his personal Droid to bring the shuttle around to a clearing now that it seems the Fortresses anti air guns are down.

Connel didn’t say a word as the … the two of them … left. He was annoyed, having been played like an instrument. It took a moment of patience to remind himself that sometimes these things are going to happen. You truly can’t win’em all… I guess… It was when they were gone that he decided to retrace her steps. So down and into the facility he went. Down several levels into what looked to be a conference room. He wondered what the likes of “Shan” and “Visla” spoke down here.

Whoah! He kicked himself as he found something else.

It was a holocron. A holocron he knew he could access. This was not the time or place to do so, and on top of that, it shouldn’t be him. It should be a member of the Council. He’ll bring it back to them. This was not the mask he was looking for, but it might be just as good, in a whole new direct path.
