P H Y S I C A L D E S C R I P T I O NWith blue skin, golden eyes and purplish hair, Malora's appearance is not unlike any other of her kind. Except maybe standing a bit taller than some, at a solid 1.8m (5'11), it makes it easier to be heard by those she needs to persuade. Furthermore, she dons the golden tattoos of her family: four upside-down triangles beneath her eyes representing that her ancestors guide her and a line on her lower lip, stating that she speaks with this knowledge.
When it comes to her outfit choices, they tend to me white and gold. And adorned by jewellery of moons, a reference to the moon goddess which her family believes in. She tries to either dress like a classical Jedi out of the tales, or like a senator. She has the wealth to do so.

Had Malora not been born force-sensitive, diplomacy and politics would still be her expertise. She has a silver tongue, trying to flatter everyone and often donning a quick quip to charm them. While being sworn to the light and to the Jedi Code, that does not mean she does not play to the system's rules. There is a side to her, that when provoked, will undermine the other figure's authority and seek to come out victorious. Rather than be the neutral light that is required of her.
When not in peril, she is a composed figure, holding control over her feelings and her powers. Being able to let things go and forgive those who have wronged her, mostly. There are things that provoke her beyond control, that not even the Jedi Code or that of the Wardens may hold her in control. It is her fatal flaw.
Despite being a Jedi, she views grabbing a lightsaber as a last resort. If not even words can hold an enemy within control, then the blade must do its task. But killing someone? The thought of it made her nauseous, and this reluctance (or fear), may just keep her from becoming a better Jedi. The control it holds over her is like a poison, and that is the issue.
Furthermore, the Pantoran is gregarious, loves a good feast for socialising or discovering the little rumours and hooks that others are dealing with. The more she can listen to them, the happier she is as a person.
Lastly, as a counterpoint to the composure, she has vivid nightmares. The ones that leave her feeling unworthy of the rank she had been given. Memories of regret and loss, while Malora keeps it locked away, one can only hold so much until they break.

- Diplomatic, from an early age she shadowed Pantora's finest diplomats, here she learned some dirtier tricks in the book. Whereas with her Jedi Master, she learned the light of things, how a single word could turn the tide and how negotiation was better than escalation. This forged her into a remarkable diplomat, capable of wielding both sides of the same blade.
- Gregarious, throw her into a feast and she is like fish in the water. Being quick to make friends or allies, whilst some are more comfortable in libraries or the battlefield, this is where she shines. Anything else is but a distraction or a necessary 'appointment'.
- The Moon Goddess, how does one balance their culture's Goddess and at the same time listen to Ashla's will? This balancing is troublesome, some days it is easier and other days it is not. Malora will always believe in her people's Goddess and often will find more comfort in her than Ashla...
- Pantoran cultured, due to her life still being around Pantora for most of it. She knows her culture and has accepted it as much as the Jedi one. This could lead a conflict of interest, or an advantage when she will have to blend or gain someone's trust..
- Reluctance to violence, trained in the Force, trained in lightsaber combat. Malora will not be comfortable in any training or confrontation where she has to use her powers to attack. Born out of fear and avoided like a cat avoids water. Until she can grow past this, she makes a poor Jedi Master.
- Political opportunism, while a Jedi diplomat, Malora can prioritise victory and play dirty in order to get what she or her faction might want. This leads to a slight disregard for her Jedi vows and when uncontrolled, may only grow worse...
- Her daughter's memory, while most pains can be mended through the Force, some will never pass. Every day she punishes herself for failing, whilst the attack was not her fault. Malora cannot accept her daughter is dead, or rather, that her death was out of her control.

Malora Varis was born to an influential family on Pantora, businessmen, diplomats, whatever kept their wealth the way it was. So while most children her age spent their days playing and doing standard things, she was forced to follow her uncle and aunt as they did business with foreign parties. A dull affair (once upon a time), but in time she began to spot the differences between the people her kin dealt with. And deduced what they were doing. Business. When a price was too high, they bid too low and tried to negotiate the price to their imagined sum.
While the rest was mostly lost to her, she found it fascinating how people were 'easily fooled'. It clearly wasn't so, but then she did not realise that yet. Her parents were on the contrary, diplomats, aides to a senator and supplying them with the necessary information. Malora saw them a few times every moon, but never held a grudge because of it. It was because of that, that when the Jedi found her and discovered her force-sensitivity. The separation was not too hard on either party.
Whereas most younglings would have been brought to the main temples in the Core Worlds and what not. She stayed in the Outer Rim. A middle-sized temple with a few knights and even fewer masters to guide them. They mostly worked on staying in touch with the Outer Rim and Wild Space, ensuring the Jedi presence was everywhere where they were needed. She befriended some in her group, including a human-arkanian hybrid named Alaric. A boy a year or two older than her, but as charming as they came.
Her years as youngling were boring, and she was not exactly the best student. Often trying to sneak off and hide in the libraries to read about 'more interesting' things in the region. Such as the local news and the conflicts between factions, dreaming that she was a great Jedi out there fighting the 'bad guys'. Her teachers did not appreciate her violent approach to things, and kept an eye on her almost all the time. So when it finally came down to 'Who would teach this troubled child?', it was a Sephi Jedi Master by the name of Azrilan. A Jedi Consular who often visited planets for their knowledge and their people, the perfect place for Malora to learn that war was not pleasant on anyone.
While first in doubt, the girl eventually grew interested in what her master had to preach. They visited nearby planets, even the moon Pantora plenty, but also made trips to recovering warzones. It was only then that Malora realised that, she really did not want that blood on her hands. She grew isolated, barely even paid attention to her master. Her friend Alaric snapped her out of it, reiterating that there was so much more that Jedi (could) do. Not everyone wanted to be stuck in a library and not everyone was comfortable negotiating with foreign individuals. But she was.
With that advice in mind, she slowly grew out of it, and her mentor Azrilan, he began to show her the other fields to explore. From piloting, to investigation, to forcing her to spend her days stuck in a library with the 'dull' lore keepers. All of it reinforced the idea that she should pursue what her kin was good in as well: diplomacy. The act of venturing out there, being a neutral party while trying to prevent such horrid bloodshed.
So when Malora became a Jedi Knight in her early 20s, she began to slowly specialise in the arts of diplomacy. Returning to Pantora more often to study how they did it there, and accompanying the current Jedi Ambassadors and Diplomats as they did their job. During this time, she gradually drew closer to Alaric, a lapse she still regrets up until this day. They both had their ambitions, so it was infrequent, but when she became a diplomat at age 25 and he a peacekeeper... Their paths suddenly crossed a whole lot more.
This turned into casual flirting, turned into an attachment and a sudden juggling between her duties and her affections. It did not take off until the moment she gained the title of Master in her early 30s and suddenly wound up with child. While not against her Code, it was difficult for her duties as diplomat, made her say foolish and impulsive things which turned some tides against her group. So when her daughter Kyrah was born, she took a small step back from the Jedi Order and settled briefly on Pantora, and later on some other planets.
Until she was truly needed to negotiate a small-sized conflict resolution between two groups on a planet, it was a minor task. And she just forced Alaric to watch their daughter, whilst she was off. The negotiation was successful, but conflict had spread to another region, another planet. And the next thing she knew, she was mourning. From blaming herself to anger to a sense of unworthiness. It took months, nigh on years, to get slightly over it. And even now, she struggles with it, having picked up her duties. But her mind her mind is still clouded.
For now, she tries to put on a mask, pretend she is still the Jedi diplomat from years before. But she has a long way to go. In an attempt to get her mind on other matters, she joins up with the galactic problems, standing with the Hidden Path in their struggle against the Galactic Empire and other forces.
