Alias: Maleagant
Affiliations: Sith Empire, Helix Syndicate
Force Sensitive: Yes, Acolyte [12/20/2016], Knight [02/20/2017], Master [07/18/2017]

Age: Looks Like He’s Got One

Species: Humanoid, I Guess
Gender: Male
Height: HE'S TALL OKAY?
Skin: Grey
Eyes: Yellow

Traits
  • [Corrupt] - Devoid of conscience, Maleagant is only interested in what is possible - not what is ethical.
  • [Dreaded] - His actions often suggest Maleagant cares more about winning than doing so cleanly or honorably.
  • [Spymaster] - Maleagant's networks of agents and spies make him able feel out plots and schemes before they’ve even begun.
  • [Withdrawn] - When Maleagant speaks, his words are often few and offer little insight to himself personally. He is reticent above all else.
  • [Staunch Family Man] - There is nothing Maleagant wouldn't do to ensure the well-being of family.
Personality

Maleagant rarely speaks more than a few words at a time. The amount of reservation he exhibits is somewhat infamous. When the humanoid does speak, it rarely moves from a soft, low monotone. This is not to say that Maleagant is an emotionless block all the time, just most of the time. He is not particularly difficult to anger and he holds grudges for what some would describe as an unreasonable amount of time. His tumultuous life has left him little time to enforce a lot principles or ethics, so by all appearances he has none. Maleagant is not above coldly murdering anyone who obstructs him and rarely expresses any regret in doing so. It's just business.

The only instance of Maleagant exhibiting a good virtue is typically in relation to those who work for him or with him closely. There are no sudden betrayals, no random executions to discourage insubordination or incompetence. Those who do right by Maleagant can be expected to be done right in return. Despite the moderate power he wields and the authority he commands in the presence of others, Maleagant is often easily cowed by those with more power and more authority. If his familial relations were public knowledge, some would doubtlessly ascribe such a trait to that.

Biography

One can be absolutely sure that Maleagant was not, at one point, a particular Givin whose name was Pollux. After all, it was Pollux who had suffered a mysterious tragedy among his family, resulting in the deaths of the vast majority of them. Not Maleagant. And it certainly wasn't Maleagant who then spent those intervening years attempting, rather unsuccessfully, to amass wealth and power in an effort to secure revenge, changing identities after each failure to ensure a clean start. One would be hard pressed to prove that Maleagant is that very same Givin who finally found success in his endeavors with the establishment and expansion of the Helix Syndicate. Especially considering that it was Pollux who vanished not too long ago to pursue some mysterious objective among many different Force Cults, not Maleagant.

In fact, Maleagant did the exact opposite at that time: popping into existence unceremoniously. Detractors and critics often mark some false parallel between these events, though they can only be pitied if they will not be corrected. This was all coincidental, as is the fact that Maleagant and Pollux seem to be equivalently ranked within the Helix Syndicate. Terribly strange, terribly chancey. Do yourself a favor: no more questions.

Ranking: Novice - Apprentice - Adept - Expert - Master

Lightsaber Combat: Adept
  • Maleagant has displayed a preference for the fighting style of Djem So. He prefers slow and heavy swings when locked in lightsaber combat, designed to overpower his opponents and break their grip on their weapon. He has been known to use quick, light movements when fighting enemies without a melee weapon of their own. The finesse of these movements have been likened to a watered down form of Makashi.
Core Powers: Adept
  • Core Powers represent what some would consider the more basic applications of the Force, the sort used extensively by both Jedi and Sith. This covers things like sense, enhancement, and telekinetics. Maleagant's abilities here have improved with him over time, becoming naturally more potent as he familiarizes himself with the Force in general. He is by no means a specialist with any of these powers, of course. They are simply not his primary area of expertise. But you will just simply not find him pulling starships out of orbit, or punching through the duracrete walls.
Sith Sorcery: Expert
  • The few members of Maleagant's family who were noted Force Sensitives displayed a natural affinity to the more arcane aspects of the Dark Side. Maleagant has used his position within the Empire and the considerable resources at his disposal to amass a sizable collection of artifacts, relics, and knowledge pertaining to Sith Sorcery. His meticulous analysis of these materials and his natural affinity for the art have given him.
Dathomiri Magic: Master
  • Maleagant spent some time among an outcast clan of Dathomiri witches and learned their craft. His talent for this sort of magic seems to be even greater than the traditional Sith arts. Maleagant is capable of manipulating Spirit Ichor to accomplish a wide variety of tasks - blasting his enemies with streams of energy, shielding himself, and physically manipulating the world around him. Maleagant also seems quite capable of Mesmerism, hypnotizing targets and dazing them with a simple stare.
