Making a Name for Yourself

Trevel'ka. A place so destitute and wretched it made Nar Shadda look like a paradise. Wandering the slums of a world forgotten by the galaxy and it's 'Republic' rulers was a dangerous task, but Tacitus was used to such things. On his way around the block he found himself a glitterstim dealer and managed to get himself a good stach. Should last him for about a month. With an E-11 carbine swung around his back Tacitus wandered around the market he kept note of who was where and was carrying what. A good habit he'd taught himself a while ago. As he walked around he managed to spot someone in the corner of his eye, a young woman with stark white hair. Quite the contrast to the dirty slums around them.

She looks familiar. Tacitus thought to himself and found a decent corner to hide and watch in. Pulling out a datapad he began to look through the holonet, finding the Mandalorian bounty on One Sith. It was a longshot that she'd be a Sith, but perhaps if she was they'd have a descriptionof her. Turning his eyes up ever couple seconds he scrolled through the list of known and suspected Sith while keeping an watch on the young woman.

If his hunch was right, he might be racking in some credits tonight. Or losing a limb or two. One could never quite tell in a business like this.

"Hmm... one of those if you would." She pointed out the item as she removed her credit chips, paying for the bag of assorted food called a mix, she wasn't quite sure what was in it but she really didn't care as she turned and ate it, a nearby man coming up behind her who was her guard. She had made sure that he remained inconspicuous though, simply because she wanted to pretend that she was alone and able to handle herself. But all she had at the moment was brains, some weak two bit force powers, and echani fighting techniques... which though the last normally would get you some form of recognition, was pretty useless if someone stood out of reach and aimed at you with a blaster. "What to do next... hmm... such an interesting place."

Switching between his datapad and the view of the white-haired girl Tacitus didn't find that the girl had a specific bounty or description. Didn't mean she wasn't a target, just meant that she wasn't well known enough for the Mandos to care about her specifically. Which could mean that she an lowly apprentice, or perhaps a very skilled assassin. No way to tell, and he wasn't even sure she was a Sith yet. Still though, dose credits. He didn't need this to be a Sith, but it it was he'd be a lot better off in two months. Between looking at the datapad and looking at the girl he didn't notice that she had a bodyguard following her.

Heading over a young boy with dirt soaking his torn pants and shirt he opened his hand and presented him a few credits. His eyes went wide in anticipation, focused on him, but mostly the credits.

"Can you run and bump into that girl there? See if she's carrying a lightsaber or anything?" Tacitus asked, and boy shook his head excitedly. "Alright, go for it." He said, and gave the boy his small amount of credits. He'd head over towards [member="Brianne Zambrano"] looking like he was trying to bolt somewhere and 'accidentally' knock her over. If she revelaed a lightsaber, used the Force, or maybe showed some tattoo's he'd know what he was dealing with.

She watched a scene play out between a man and one of the servers at another stall, blinking as she sighed a bit sadly. This world needed order and scum like him gone, the poor server. Before Brianne did anything though she was send ont her ass as the boy collided with her, eyes blinking and looking up at the kid younger than her. "Hey..." She had no saber and only a pistol and vibroblade that had been hidden in her cloak. Shaking herself she shot the guard a look only half a second long before making it look like she was looking around at everyone staring at her now. With a sigh she slowly stood and looked at the kid. "What where you are going next time if you would."

The boy knocked her over and in the fall he managed to spot three things. A blaster, a virboblade, and a piercing sideways glance. Tacitus tried to look into the crowd to see who she was looking at but couldn't. Nobody looked especially 'sithly' or carried any extra or exotic weapony. He knew she wasn't alone but didn't know who she was with. Coulda been a boyfriend, coulda been a body guard, but either way she didn't expect something like that to happen. A young girl with a bodyguard wasn't surprising if she was a tourist. Trevel'ka had a reputation for being filled with all manner of unsavory folk. Practically all tourists brought some sort of protection. But the vibroblade? Who carried those around anymore? There were three types really, the occasional crazy who liked being up close an personal instead of just shooting someone with a blaster, the person who was expecting to have to deal with lightsabers up close, and the guy who was training to use a lightsaber. The first one wouldn't have carried around the blaster, and the second one? Well, she could have been it but she probably would have dealt with the kid harsher. Which left the third as the most likely option.

Seems we have ourselves a Sith. Tacitus thought to himself. Or a jedi. He mused on a second thought, but it didn't matter. The One Sith had just put up a nice bounty on Jedi too so he could get his paycheck either way.

The kit was pretty street-smart, apologizing heartily before running off. If the Force-girl could read minds or emotions she might have felt that he was happy, or thinking of what he was gonna buy with his new credits. If her hearing was good she might have even heard the jingle of credits in his pocket as he ran off. No matter what the girl picked up though he was bolting and gone. Which left Tacitus, her, her guard, and a crowd of people around them. Too many people to really line up an open shot. He needed a way to clear a path. Looking through his bag he found some noise cancelers and a sonic grenade. He smiled. Exactly what he needed. He took a moment to put on the noise cancelers, making sure to follow the girl as she moved, and then threw up the sonic grenade.

A loud piercing shrill would fill the alleyway. It wasn't the type of sonic grenade that would rupture organs or anything super bad like that, but one meant to disable groups of people with excessive stimulation. As such the crowd went down covering their ears, letting him the perfect opportunity to make some shots. Taking his E-11 he'd fire three stun bolts at [member="Brianne Zambrano"], aiming to take her alive if he could. She didn't have a saber and was pretty young. Maybe Tacitus was getting overly sentimental about it but she was too young to die just yet.

The bang was more than enough to put Brianne to her knees, holding her ears and blinking to get her sigh back at least, watching as her guard moved between her and the stun bolts, collapsing. Without trying to think she ran, trying to get out of there. She was still deaf though and the crowd now running made it both harder for her to get shot and seen, but also harder to move as she was partially blind and deaf at the moment.

The guard was quick, dang quick, and took the bolts for the girl. She was important, no doubt about that. Heading over to his body he shot with a stun bolt once again, just to be sure. Once he got over to the body he'd search it, quickly finding a datapad and some sort of large holdout pistol. Taking the pistol and datapad he chased after the girl. There'd be time to slice into it and figure out all the goodies later. Right now he needed to head after the girl. The crowds were thick, but her figure was a distinct one. Stark white hair with white skin. That was, if he could see her with her being so short. Tacitus was pretty tall, and their weren't any huge guys in the crowd so he spotted what he thought was her. Taking his E-11 off stun he shot it twice, up in the air.

"Bounty hunter comin through!" He screamed, and the crowd parted a bit, letting him a path good enough to run but not good enough to line up a shot. Yet. In places like Trevel'ka there were a ton of unspoken rules. Such as, when a guy's hunting a bounty and shooting his gun around you get out of the way. Nobody had the time or spare lives to be heroes around here. Switching his E-11 back to stun he continued chasing after the girl. closing distance fast.

She heard the gunshoots and herself ducked a bit. She was not sure if this man was here to kill her, or just capture her but she had to get out of here. Grabbing the pistol at her side she turned and fired back at him and made sure she had a clear shot so that no moron civi got in the way of the little skirmish between the two of them. She needed to get out here now but first she needed to get into close range to fix out this man's heading after her trail.
