Majoran created his blade at a young age. His master, who he no longer remembers the name of, was killed in front of him by a Zabrak sith. He used his master's blade to battle the sith. Eventually, he caught him off guard and made an unclean swipe, cutting off a piece of the sith's breastbone. The sith was injured, but still battle ready. He sliced Majoran's Master's lightsaber in half. Majoran user the remnants of his master's blade and the piece of the sith's breast bone to craft a new blade, and smite down the sith. After this he was given knighthood.
