---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+Empathy: Majis has an innate ability to sense people’s emotions. He can put himself in the shoes of even the most unlikely opponents.
Force Affects: Stemming from his empathy, Majis is keen on the use of the Force to enhance himself and those he is aligned with. This could lead to the future knowledge of Battle Meditation.
+Physical Combat: The Tuskens are a brute people, even though he is not by blood a warrior of the dunes, he had proven himself among his people. He learned their ways from such a young age that most of them didn’t even know he was Human.
+Intelligence: Unlike most of the tribe, however, Majis was given a proper education by the tribe’s leader. The man saw the potential for the young boy to be a translator and an interpreter to any people the Tuskens came across.
-Sore Thumb- Having been raised among the Tuskens, Majis dares not remove his armor. It is seen as disrespectful and blasphemous. He doesn’t live with his clan anymore but he does still consider himself apart of them.
-Guns: He can shoot at thigs, and sometimes hit them, but he doesn’t often.
-Naïve: Having lived in a tribe his whole life, Majis is not accustomed to society in the galaxy. He is quite clumsy and awkward. Though he has only pure intentions, he will have to learn the hard way how to decide who else has the same intentions.
-Water: Majis can’t swim. He almost refuses to go into water. He will drink it when necessary, but his people have learned how to live without it for a while. He is almost afraid of it you could say.
+/-Eternally Optimistic: Though he knows the galaxy around him is terrible and at war, he believes that he will be the one to change it. This feeds into the naivety previously mentioned. This also means he has a very strong will and seemingly refuses to give up.
APPEARANCE:
As many of the Sand People appear, Majis is clad in cloth and scrap fabrics gathered from the dune seas. There are several feathers that accent his shell of armor. Though other than that you likely couldn’t pick him out of a line up of Tuskens unless you took the time to pay attention.
BIOGRAPHY:
Majis was born on Tattooine to a loving couple who traveled the dune seas as traders among the different outposts and occasional tribes of Jawas. They avoided the Tuskens using maps and information obtained by the Jawas in exchange for cheaper prices. Often times they would accompany the Jawas on their routes, almost using them as hired guard. These memories would become distant and fade quickly after Majis came under the Tuskens’ care. Eventually he would become a man, learn to hunt, to take care of those he cared for. Eventually, he was adopted into a small foster family of Sand People.
He was not treated as one of their own, however. Among the Tusken Raiders, if you were not of their kind, no matter your affiliation, you were not truly a Raider. Even though he had spent most of his life among them, they still treated him as though he were the lowest of the low. When young Tuskens came of age they got to choose a mount, a Bantha whose age matched their own, who they would grow old with, who they would grow inseparable from. Majis, however, was not given such a privilege. He was given a young EOPIE as his mount. This was alright at first, but later, when the Banthas started to grow much larger than the Eopie and he started to notice the pungent smell the creature had, he realized his standing among the tribe. Being the empath he was, however, he eventually became very close to his mount, the unknown Force energies exchanging between the two of them. That, and proper hygiene would prove he was could be quite the partner. He was more than able to carry all of Majis’s belongings.
It wasn’t just that either, even though he had learned to hunt with the Tuskens, he loathed violence. He saw the necessity of eating meat and killing to live, but he didn’t see the sport in it The rest of the tribe relished in the taking of the settler’s lives. Maybe it was his Human blood, but he was unable to complete his rite of passage, or bloordrite as they called it. Where one would go out and find a lesser creature, sentient or not, and torture them for weeks at a time, until they extracted all of the life force from the creature. Then they were considered adults. This ritual, this blood tradition passed down generation to generation, was one of the only times the Raiders were allowed to fully remove their armor. This was one of the last events that catapulted him into infamy among the tribe.
However not all of his people were so cruel to Majis. It just so happened the Storyteller of the tribe, the mystic who the tribe revered nearly as much as the chieftain, had taken a liking to the young Human child. The job of the storyteller was identical throughout Raider culture, the story always stayed the same. The old man told his story same way ever since Majis could remember, and ever since his adopted parents could remember. It was amazing to Majis how all tribes had the same history and were all united by the single story of their coming about. It was a great pride amongst the Raiders to have such impeccable sense of shared history, and an even greater pride that the storyteller knew it all without the aid of written word.
At first, Majis was picked by the storyteller for his above average intelligence. The old Tusken knew how valuable it could be for the tribe to have a connection to the rest of the world. Soon, he started to teach Majis the story of the Tusken Raiders. Majis’s adopted family didn’t may him much mind, so in a sense, the old man became a parental figure. From such a young age, the Human was taught the intricate path the Tuskens took through history, their battles with the Infinate Empire, the turning of Tattooine from a fertile ground into the sandtrap it was currently. With each sentence, each new tale, Majis soaked it up and retained much of it right away. It was finally feeling like someone was finally accepting him to be what he considered himself to be: a member of their tribe.
It was fairly soon after Majis’s nineteenth birthday that the old man passed away. It was Tusken law that if the storyteller died and he had not passed his tale on, there was no true leader and their gods had turned their backs on them. None of the Raiders, save for Majis, could properly recite the very complex history of their people. Majis spoke their story as clear as day, he knew every inch of their story. Still there was descent among the tribe. Some of them had followed Majis choosing to disregard his race, and instead focus on the fact the Storyteller had chosen him. The other half were much less willing to break tradition.
In the end a false prophet came about, claiming Majis was fabricating the history and he lied to take power in the tribe. He changed a couple of the words, words no one would be the wiser to, and made it sound as though Majis had been the deceiver. It wasn’t long until Majis was exiled.
He is now without his mount, without his tribe, and without any resources. Drifting among the dune sea. Deep within, however, lies the willpower and energy of a man destined to heal the galaxy…
