Description
After the Czerka CZ-835 Machine Pistol was outmoded and reinvented by BlasTech, Atretes decided that a new weapon was in order. While his current weapon was useful, he wanted something he could call his own. A signature weapon that wasn't a lightsaber or sword. With that in mind, he brainstormed and developed this weapon.

With smallness and power in mind, the M6-I7 Holdout Slugthrower pistol is intended to provide a strong weapon in a small package. Utilising what information, designs, and other informational resources that the man could find, the pistol was created over time with various factors in mind, from restricted use to Force nullification.

The phrik exteriour is intended to not make the pistol be used as a shield against lightsabers, but to prevent his weapon from being destroyed should a lightweapon wielder get too close and attempt to destroy the gun.

The Tarentatek hide grip is not only for comfort, but to prevent the weapon from easily being turned upon its owner by use of the Force. While there are obvious weaknesses to having only the grip be covered in the beast's hide, the required precision otherwise makes it a more difficult task to remotely control this pistol. Not an immunity, more a resistance.

In addition to these aspects, there is one other thing that Atretes felt he needed in order to make this weapon truly secure. In the two parts of exposed metal, where the grip does not cover the handle, there are biometric scanning systems. A small, unnoticeable edge is released and flakes off a few skin cells that fall into a chamber. In this chamber, a small laser scans the DNA of the skin cells and relays a message to a microchip processor that sends either a positive or negative feedback alert. That feedback alert either unlocks switching the weapon out of safety, or locks the weapon into safety and ejects a microscopic hypodermic needle that dispenses a small amount of degenerative toxin that can eat away at the flesh around the targeted area (this whole process takes approximately 0.5s). The needle will not pierce armour, thick skin, fur, or the like, but will do perfectly against bare skin. Additionally, to prevent the "chop off the hand and use that to bypass security" trick, a secondary system includes a heartbeat monitor fail safe. After the positive check, the heartbeat sensor activates, and should the sensor provide no positive response, the weapon locks into safety and will not fire.
