Heavy Round - The Predator II chambers a 10mm round to provide for higher stopping power
Durability - Caked in mud, exposed to freezing temperatures, buried in sand or gravel; the Predator II is known for its durability even after taking copious amounts of abuse. With proper care and maintenance, the weapon is more than capable of continued operation even after being exposed to hazardous environmental factors.
Semi-Auto Fire Setting - The Predator II can be switched between a single-fire mod or a semi-auto fire mod; in which the weapon fires three rounds in rapid succession.

Training Required - Colloquially known as the 'Wristbreaker' due to the kickback that the weapon puts out, the Predator II takes some training to properly handle. The training though is more focused on ensuring that the individual firing the weapon properly compensates for the kickback of the weapon to prevent them from breaking their wrist.
Jamming - The Predator II tends to jam if it is switched too rapidly between the single-fire and semi-auto setting. Often this results in rounds being jammed into the firing chamber, preventing the proper discharge of the weapon. In this case, the weapon is rendered inoperable and must be properly cleared before it can be utilized again.
Rare Munitions - With the bulk of the galaxy utilizing Blaster and Disruptor weapons, the munitions for the Predator II are rarer to come by the further Coreward one travels. This often requires that the owner find a means to produce the munitions themselves, stick closer to the Outer Rim Territories, or buy munitions in bulk to keep with them at all times.

The Predator II is the continuation of a series of slugthrowers that are specifically designed with the Outer Rim Factions and those not able to get their hands on a blaster, in mind. Designed to be utilized primarily as a secondary weapon in those situations when a larger rifle or carbine would be unwieldy, the Predator II serves this role perfectly and provides that extra punch in close-quarters combat. With a minimal design and optional custom grip, the weapon requires little modification - and let's face the truth, there's little room to add anything else. Simple iron sights aid in ensuring that each round is on target; though the weapon is just as easily fired from the hip. However, a major drawback of the Predator II is a direct holdover of the predecessor weapon; that being, proper training is required to operate the weapon. Colloquially known as 'Wristbreakers', the Predator II requires that the operate is properly trained to withstand and handle the kickback of the weapon to prevent breaking their wrist.
And while the Predator II chambers a heavier round - in terms of slugthrower pistols - those rounds are often rare to come by the further into the Core one ventures. Often this requires owners to stockpile munitions, find a means to produce their own or keep them to the Outer Rim Territories where its easier to find munitions for the Predator II. Though this can be problematic, the Durability and reliability of the Predator II often mean that their owners don't mind the hassle that comes with the weapons munitions - as it tends to still work better than most blasters after taking a bath in the mud or being buried in the sand. The largest problem that the Predator II carried over from its predecessor is its tendency to jam - however, this is often directly due to switching too rapidly between its single-fire and semi-auto fire setting. In these cases, its often a round jammed in the firing chamber that requires proper clearing before the weapon is operational once more.
