Where as the G-58 PDW was designed for a shorter range and closer combat, the M221 Personal Defense Weapon is designed for a longer range in a bid to stop a threat to the MedCorps EMTs before they reach their working area or their client. With a slight larger build than the G-58 PDW, its increased size also comes with a heavier weight; though it still chambers a 10mm slug just like the G-58, allowing for exchanging ammunition - though not magazines - between the weapons.
Equipped with a folding stock, it allows the weapon to be more stable when firing, ensuring a greater accuracy. Its lack of a scope though requires more experience and a sharper eye when utilized; however it makes up for it when it comes to stopping power. While the G-58 makes an individual question their life choices at a closer range, the M221 makes them question their decisions at a greater range. The weapon is best used in combination with the G-58, ensuring that the Security Specialist guarding the EMTs can provide a greater defensive ring.
