DESCRIPTION

While light walkers are all fine and dandy, some of us want our armies to be able to pack an actual punch. Fret no more, noble customer, because the M2 Heavy Walker is packing enough punch to rout even the bravest of enemies.

The M2 is much more heavily armed and armored than its predecessor, making it much slower but of greater firepower and durability in the face of heavy fire. It is well rounded and suitable for both anti-infantry and anti-vehicle roles. It possesses most of the features the M1 had, only the Dura-Armor is further reinforced, the molytex thickened, and the durasteel skeleton replaced with one of titanium. Like all Hegemonic combat models, the M2 is protected from Ion and EMP attacks by an Ionization Buffer.

Customers may pick the exact weapons loadout for the M2 based on their needs. For primary weapons, the M2 can either tote repeating blasters or slugthrower autocannons. The latter performs better against lightly armored targets and swaths of infantry, while the former is more useful against other light vehicles and enemy emplacements, but can still be used against infantry effectively. Next comes the large cannon mounted on its back, which can either be used to deliver explosive artillery shells or high-intensity blaster bolts. The artillery shells cause much more damage to structures and such, but have a more pressingly finite amount of ammo. The M2 also holds two missile launching bays on each side of its form, which can be loaded with just about any missile of the customer’s choice. They hold eighteen missiles each.

The M2 comes equipped with a Julianos Series Droid Brain. The J2 Droid Brain makes the M2 a much more formidable foe in combat, giving it the tactical know-how and cunning most would not expect from a droid. A high-quality NeuroSaav Targeting System ensures it will only rarely miss something it takes meaningful aim at. A Scanner and a Sensorscope allow it to detect a great deal of things, and finally a gyroscopic stabilizer makes the droid stronger and sturdier overall, although it is remarkably slower than the M1.

Because of the J2 Droid Brain’s proclivity towards speeding the process by which droids achieve sapience, the M2 is at similar risk to become self-aware and free willed. Tests that have been conducted indicate that M2s which achieve sapience become overly affectionate of nature. They will gravitate towards forests, jungles, and any place with an abundance of plant and animal life. They have a tendency to viciously defend these places from those who would try to destroy or otherwise remove them. Despite being a hulking, heavily armed and armored machine, the M2 seems to be very gentle towards wild animals. Wild animal reaction to the M2, however, is very mixed.

Hegemonic Automaton is not responsible for the actions of M2 Heavy Walkers that achieve sapience.
