STRENGTHS
  • Aim and Fire the Green Beam!: It is not only dangerous, but it almost rivals the previous iteration in damage. The only main difference is in range. While the first model was able to travel towards the destination by sheer force, this one has a range to orbit only but still is as effective at damaging the enemy from Star Destroyers on down in a few shots, sometimes even Super Star Destroyers critical systems.
  • Time to Move: With it being purposed on the rails/holo-rails, it can move with ease going forward to its next destination. This allows the ability to move a surface to air cannon to a different destination.
  • Moving Fortress: In addition, it can supply for a small period of time, rations and supplies on the go given its transportation nature. Can also be used as a holdout point if required.
WEAKNESSES
  • Exposed Generator Pylons: While no longer relying itself to be stationary to fire, it had to have a much larger generator output. On the four pylons it used to sit up as, now holds four small generators to produce enough power to fire the Orbital Proton Beam Cannon. If two are destroyed, it can only fire a shot after a long charge, three would stop it from firing all together and all four would implode the M.R.S.W II.
  • No Rails, No Travel: If the rails are destroyed, it can no longer go to a destination. If both sides of the rails are gone, it can no longer move and may crash.
  • Cannot be Transported Off Planet: it is impossible to transport this off-planet. There is not psychical way to transport it onto a ship.
DESCRIPTION
The distress call from Nar Shadda had Haon Hafey working overtime to produce the proper equipment to ensure the safety and well being of the planet. One thing he knew about them was the heavy use of rail systems and he decided to capitalize on it by introducing the M.R.S.W. MK II. Unlike previous iterations, it now holds instead of a large ballistic cannon, instead a large orbital proton beam cannon. This was a significant upgrade from previous model as it now no longer requires ammunition to fire. One drawback however from this design was that it could no longer shoot system wide with proper targeting, now only towards orbit.

Since this was being built in a hurry, a special contract was created with the Hutt Cartel, Triads and Pyke Syndicate to ensure their fast construction. Unlike previous designs to where they sapped into the main power grid, multiple generators were built into the M.R.S.W II to where it can run independently, no longer requiring only one per planet. In addition, with the cargo space now gutted from ammunition storage, more people could be stored in an emergency transport for either troops or refugees. In addition, it now has special armories installed inside them for armies to quickly go inside and outfit what they require to function.

The first test run was quick, less than a week from an old decommissioned model on Nar Shadda as it fired into an old satellite with impressive results. Giving a small smirk, it was green lit as the Byrn'adul was fast approaching and they needed one at least in every medium to large city to hold off the invasion of the Byrn'adul.

Haon Hafey Haon Hafey this looks pretty solid conceptually.

It looks like it is about two ratings over-powered though; this might be because of how we talked earlier about how size is judged (it actually counts as a positive rating rather than a negative rating).
