DESCRIPTION
The lightwhip was created by Lumiya, the Dark Lady of the Sith, as her personal weapon used for combat. When she was on her pilgrimage to Ziost, she discovered a tome on how to create the ancient Sith weapon that included coherent lightsaber energy and tangible extensions. Darth Vader, her Master, presented her with Kaiburr crystal shards which she would use to power the weapon, after she built the hilt out of Mandalorian iron.
After her battle with Luke Skywalker, she was killed and her hilt fell into a chasm on the planet of Terephon where they held their final duel. The hilt was presumed lost, but the Force is known to resurrect the lost items of it's followers. The hilt wound up in the Temple of Pain, a Sith Temple, that was built inside an asteroid in the Tascollan Nebula. The manner it appeared there is unknown.
The young Sith Acolyte, Satia The Cruel, took on her own pilgrimage to locate the lost weapon. There, inside the Temple of Pain, she met an apparition that turned out to be Lumiya herself. The pair spent three days together, where Satia learned some interesting, and unknown, facts about certain characters from the time of Lumiya. Lumiya took the time to explain the physical downfall of the Dark Side, suggesting options for the young Sith on how to combat the more dreadful aspects of Dark Side corruption.
After the third day, Lumiya gifted the hilt (lightwhip) to Satia and finally returned in peace to the Force.
