  • Analysis
    • Lucky Pride takes things in stride. Despite being at the bottom of the food chain and KNOWING he’s at the bottom, he can’t help but stay optimistic and whimsically go through life pursuing the freedom he and his peers were stripped of. He’s blunt, straightforward, and always says what's on his mind whether it's prudent or not. Even though it may be hard to tell, Lucky doesn’t go out of his way to ignore the feelings of others and will even try to elevate those around him but at his core, Lucky is only concerned with saying what must be said and doing what must be done.
    • The pure chaotic force behind his decision-making can often push others away or cause them to lose faith in Lucky, he’s not opposed to wasting an entire day chasing a bird or helping someone find a singular lost credit. As long as it's fun and free, Lucky will pursue it all the way until he truly understands what it is to be unchained.

Strengths
  • Piloting Skill
    • As a slave, Lucky’s job was manning and occasionally piloting cargo vessels giving him a relative knowledge of spacecraft.
  • High Pain-Tolerance
    • The life of a slave is one of hardship. All the pain and suffering Lucky endured at the hands of his master has given him an abnormal tolerance to pain.
  • Mechanical Sense
    • Tasked with fixing old pipes, repairing shot wiring, and other jobs that required technical knowledge, Lucky has gained a stellar grasp of engineering despite his limited environment.
  • Multi-Lingual
    • The Pride family enslaved many different species and people from walks of life. Because of this, Lucky has an understanding of languages that would make even a protocol droid blush.

Weaknesses
  • Naivety
    • Lucky has very little experience with the outside world so things that are common knowledge to most people don’t even occur to him. He’s gullible, sincere, and even a bit…stupid.
  • Candid
    • Lucky is blunt and honest to a fault despite desiring to be a criminal. He’s upfront about his intentions and if asked by an officer about his criminal activities he’d probably just tell them instinctively.
  • Impulsive
    • Living without freedom for his entire life and then suddenly gaining it all at once, Lucky is determined to try out anything and everything despite the dangers it may pose to himself or others.
  • Combat
    • The only combat experience Lucky has ever had was against the other slaves trying to steal his food. When faced with a true combat scenario, Lucky isn’t exactly the sharpest.

Biography
Born the son of a wealthy and undefeatable gambler on the planet Daiyu, Lucky Pride was destined for a life of luxury with a silver spoon in his mouth until his father’s final game during which he bet everything he had…including his only son. Unsurprisingly, his father lost the game that he of all people should have known was rigged and lost all his possessions, his dignity, and the life of his newborn son who was sold into slavery to the infamous but clandestine Pride family.

Lucky grew up in the life of a slave and was loved by his fellow slaves because of his rebellious attitude and optimistic outlook on life which inspired hope in a life that had almost none. His tendency to stick his neck out for the other slaves cost Lucky more than a few beatings but it never seemed to bother him just how unfair his life seemed when he was able to do what he wanted by being good to those around him. He'd almost settled into his life of flying cargo ships from point A to point B without even a "thank you" or a "good work" of mention, He'd almost given up on his dreams of freedom and soaring across the stars on his own terms in favor of a life of servitude crammed into maintenance tunnels...

Then came the attack…

A crew of pirates broke into the Pride manor and slaughtered the entire family in a single night, taking all their wealth with them and leaving only the slaves alive to tell the story. Now given the freedom he spent his entire life never knowing existed and having been granted it by a group of pirates, Lucky decides to spend the rest of his newfound life becoming one of the most villainous criminals to ever menace the galaxy.

From his point of view, pirates and criminals seem to be the most free people in the world and if that’s what it takes to achieve true freedom then he must become the greatest criminal, the most free person in the galaxy.
