Private Lucid Dreaming

Exhausted.

Jem hadn't slept in days. It didn't matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get herself to settle enough to try. She just kept seeing the news reports, running like a movie reel behind her eye lids. She kept hearing the cries, smelling the ash... hearing her father's words run through her like a promise.

She felt helpless.

Every time she tried to project blame outward, it snapped back to her like overstretched rubber band.

I'm doing this so no father has to lose his child again.

But she was right here. If that wasn't enough... then what was? 1am seemed like the best time to practice Dagon's lessons. Acrobatics had always interested her, but there were temple built metal bars and then there rain-drenched roof tops. It was all different game, one she was intent on mastering.

A sharp pain jolted up her shin as she slammed into a balcony. She reached out pipe but found only air. Before she could have a say gravity reclaimed her. 150 floors high, she was free falling, A sharp sigh left her nose as she summoned the force inwards. 120 floors now, she arched back to the brick wall, an invisible hand redirecting her like a leaf caught by wind. 60 floors, her hands miss a balcony.

40, a finger broke on a skimmed rail.

30.

20

10

8

Her own inertia yanked on her shoulders, threating to dislocate her arms from the sockets as she caught herself. Her heart pounded in her chest, adrenaline pulsing through her as she braced herself and released....

It was a lot easier to buffer 8 floors than 100.

She rolled and scattered to a stop across the alleyway, hazel eyes staring up at the buildings hovering above.

"...Ouch."

Thump.

The sudden fall of Jem Fossk Jem Fossk onto the alleyway pavement was startling. She rolled over, her hazel eyes looking up at the buildings above and the hooded figure suddenly standing over her.

"By the Force. Are you okay!???"

His eyes scanned her under his hood, rain pressing against his cloak.

"Let me help! Please don't move."

He expected resistance, or distrust. It was Denon afterall, any scumbag could just creep up and try to rob a helpless bystander blind. The stranger knelt down and reached deep into the empyrean, the crashing waves of the Force molding forth into a steady current. The male breathed deep, extending his energies outward in an attempt to mend the injuries he could.

She needed to hold still.
