Description: The LPCS was created by an aged Ithorian named Erd Contin who owned a metalsmith shop in the lower sectors of Nar Shaddaa. In an attempt to create a magnificent piece of equipment for those needing moderate protection and high mobility, he put together a rather simple combination of Durasteel, an armorweaved undersuit and integrated pads. The LPCS suffers from the lack of limb protection, but because of this movement speed is not hindered by the usual padding.

The Durasteel Chestplate was capable of deflecting shots from both blaster pistols, slugthrowers, a few blaster shots, and slashes from Vibroblades and knives alike. Despite its good protection though, attacks eventually broke through the plate’s outer shell, proving that the plate was not capable of providing unlimited protection. The plate certainly didn’t stand a chance against lightsabers.

Although not successful on the market, he received a hand full of purchases by Bounty Hunters and Black Sun gang members. But another purchase came from a Force User named Javek which was especially concerning to Erd at the time, but credits were credits in his eyes. The LPCS can also be heavily customized to the point of looking like a totally different outfit in comparison to its stock appearance.

All in all, the LPCS wasn’t meant to be anything special. It provides a good balance of both mobility and light protection.

Positives and Negatives

(+) Allows for high mobility and isn’t too heavy
(+) The suit is heavily customisable the chest plate can be removed and replaced with more durable plates.
(+) The Integrated padding helps protect against blunt trauma.

(-) The suit only offers one defensive advantage against particle weapons and blades alike which is centered on the torso.
(-) The Chestplate needs to be constantly replaced or repaired if the wearer gets into a lot of life threatening scuffles.

Fun Fact
· Erd eventually closed down his shop and retired from metalsmithing. He now lives with his great granddaughter in the Duros Sector.
