Lor’Vekka was born into the dust-choked alleys of Nabat, one of the larger slave-run cities on Ryloth. As a Lethan Twi’lek, her crimson skin marked her as both rare and desirable; a curse rather than a gift. Sold as a child to an off-world trader and eventually passed into the hands of a cruel minor warlord, she spent her youth navigating the brutal hierarchies of bondage, learning to read people’s intentions as a matter of survival. Even in captivity, however, strange things happened around her: chains broke, doors jammed, and would-be abusers suffered inexplicable accidents. She came to fear her own power; and to loathe it. When the Imperial Confederation annexed the sector during its expansion, she did not resist. She watched the old powers fall and saw in the marching soldiers something she had never seen before: order.
When Confederation officials conducted their initial scans for Force anomalies, she was quickly flagged. Unlike the Jedi, who might have tried to nurture or protect her, the Confederation sent an Inquisitorial agent to verify and extract. The offer was simple: vanish into a new identity under their control, or be neutralized. She chose survival, and was whisked away from the suffocation of slavery to a remote fortress drifting near the edge of Confederation space. There, among cold durasteel corridors and under the doctrines of the Inquisition, she was stripped of her name, her past, and her fear. She was told the Force was not a gift, but a flaw in the order of the galaxy. She believed it.
Her training was merciless. Where the Jedi emphasized compassion and the Sith exalted passion, the Inquisition taught detachment. She was taught that power should be used to extinguish chaos, not feed it. Her mastery of Form IV and VII made her a deadly combatant, but it was her discipline and cold efficiency that saw her rise rapidly through the ranks. She proved particularly effective at rooting out Force cults and disloyal remnants of ancient orders, showing no hesitation in executing even children if they posed a future threat and weren’t able to be brought under control. Rumors of her walking unscathed through collapsing Force sanctuaries and dismantling centuries-old temples with only a few commands began to circulate even among hardened officers. In the shadows, her name became a whispered omen.
She rarely speaks, and when she does, it is with clinical precision. Her purpose is simple: to excise the cancer of the Force from the body of the galaxy. What began as a desperate struggle for control of her own life has transformed into a crusade to control the future of countless others. To the citizens of the Confederation, she is but a shadow. To the Force-wielders of the galaxy, she is a storm made flesh.
