Shadow-ports are remote space stations usually well hidden or out of the range of any galactic law enforcement and authority. These stations are often meeting points between the more unsavory sorts, pirates, smugglers, black market traders, all of them enjoy the inconspicuousness and the accommodations these places usually offer. As such, Shadow-Ports are frequently sought after by various Metal Lords, whether to control one and bring it along on one's journey as their headquarters or additional source of income, or have one made for the very same purpose. Those Lords who cannot afford to purchase one or do not want to take it by force often plot the courses of their Void Kingdoms based on the known locations of these scattered ports.The Shadow-Ports who are placed under the Lord's control often have multitude of forges and smelteries installed into them, serving as manufacturing centers for drone and ship production.
