My first character was a Miraluka Jedi. So I had the easy way out of tagging along with my master to learn how to write a character. That's generally one of the easiest ways to start, but may not be suitable for your current character.
So perhaps you can do any of the following below:
- Join a faction thread, which for your case, is Outer Rim Coalition. Look for one which says faction and is started by ORC.
- Start a public thread yourself. You could start something like going to get a drink in a cantina or a bar, and some people will hopefully drift in to interact with you.
- Check the looking for groups threads to see if there is any interesting ones you wish to join.
- Browse the welcome threads. You can get approached by people like [member="Kaete"] when you introduce yourself or when you say hello to others.
- Unsolicited private messaging for people who seem interesting. You can message people or get messaged.
You may also wonder, how do you introduce your character in a thread. Whether it is joining an existing thread or a new one, all you need to have is imagination. That... has to be experimented. You will generally try to find a way to let your character appear. Take an example of a bar. He can already be drinking there. Or he can walk along the street and enters one which looks interesting. Or he is dead drunk and has gotten into a fight with a bartender.
