Description:
A small and nimble fighter, the Longsword Starfighter was designed to provide the Holy Order of the Righteous Flame a staple Starfighter that could just as quickly be produced en mass. Taking cues from various TIE Fighter productions, the Longsword class lacks any form of shielding or life support, requiring that the pilot be sealed into a flight suit with their own life support system. Just like a TIE Fighter, they are designed to be thrown at an enemy en mass (though often only the most skilled pilots are permitted behind the yolk to minimize losses).
A unique feature of the starfighter is its enclosed astromech socket, which protects the droid by housing it internally within the starfighter. This however comes at a cost, as seen in the starfighters lacking of a Hyperdrive (which many other starfighters contain). This also means that its Navigational Computer is purely for in system operations to provide the pilot with information on the hazards and stellar objects of a specific system it is operating in rather than holding any hyperdrive coordinates.
