Long dead npc

So let's say I want to add a bit of lore such as a specific leviathan that was destroyed long ago, would I do that in npcs? Or just not do
It?

You can certainly sub expired NPCs. Just be sure to stipulate that it is, in fact, no longer living and will not be used ICly within your sub.
