[SIZE=9pt]The Locksley was the evolution of the non-standard defence system developed by Locke and Key Mechanics. While most warships had access to powerful point defence systems, smaller ships tended to be more vulnerable to a lack of capable defences. The Locksley was an answer to this, while not as capable as an all-up point defence system, it does provide small craft with an additional defensive option apart from just relying on shield and manoeuvrability.[/SIZE]
