Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo the Hutt sat in his office on the Wheel as he waited for his guest to arrive. He'd sent a comm message to the Sith overseer of this sector of space asking for an audience. Normally, he would go to her for this sort of thing, but seeing as Dromund Kaas was... unavailable and Korriban soon to be so, he felt it would be safer for both parties to meet here on the Wheel away from the more violent areas of Sith space.

He'd not heard much in reply, but his message out had been thorough. Kyros had been given VIP access from day one and had complete access to the private docking points up on the central spire, near the penthouse. She even had access to the Penthouse's private docking port, though Popo's personal vessel was docked there at the moment. Wheel security knew that she was coming and who she was, they would stand clear of her. Popo knew she knew her way around the area, it was just a simple matter of waiting for her to arrive...

It was time once again to deal with the Hutt of the Wheel, otherwise known as Popo. She had not heard from him since he first procured the Wheel, and she had doubted she would: he had paid her what was due for the arrangements in full, and so long as that had continued there would have been no issue. However it seemed he had other plans, and thus she found herself invited back to the Wheel for further discussions. While plans had been finished for her future she did have a little time to spare, and as such had taken time out to visit the cesspit she despised. A place of drunkenness, gambling and narcotics... The stuff of weak-minded men who lacked self control. But she did suppose it made for a good investment, since each were addictive in their own way.

When the Vhailor made its way into the hangar which had been provided she vacated the ship with Skydd at her back, a silent shadow lost beneath Sith robes... None would ever presume to know it was a droid, if truth be told, nor had they. When she arrived at the door of the Office she raised a hand to knock, waiting for access. While technically she had every right to traverse every area of her Sector, including out-of-bounds personal spaces, she did not think it wise to begin negotiations off on such a presumptuous footing.

Popo never knew why Darth Kyros never just walked on into his office. With her, he didn't care. He owned the Wheel because she more or less allowed him to. It wasn't that she controlled him, it was that the situation was a mutually beneficial arrangement. She helped keep the rest of the Sith Empire off his back, he paid her a percentage of income for the effort. In the meantime, she also tended to give him preference to certain things. Like expansions or company purchases which was what was this meeting's purpose.

"Come in, please," Popo said into the intercom. Humans. He doubted he'd ever truly understand them, honestly.

She entered into the room at his behest, and ensured the door closed behind herself. A subtle inclination of her head was her way of greeting him, before she stepped up to the desk, hands on the back of the chair which she was likely intended to sit upon. She didn't, however; the Umbaran was always more comfortable with standing. "Popo the Hutt..." she said, as though in passing. "Quite the establishment this has been turned into." She kept the thoughts of how little she liked casinos and all which accompanied them to herself. Profit, she reminded herself, was always higher when narcotics, alcohol and gambling were mixed.

"Your holo-com was very brief, let us get straight to business shall we?"

"Indeed," Popo stated simply. He hit a button on the desk and a projection appeared in midair of two planets.

"I'd like to expand my company in your sector once more," the Hutt stated politely to the woman before him. "The two planets in question are Centares and Belderone. Both have industrial bases I'd like to partake in to ramp up production for a few of my product lines. Perhaps even construct a shipyard over both planets."

The Hutt sat back and awaited a response. Hopefully, she'd be up for the expansion and he could begin laying the ground work immediately.

@[member="Popo"] - Apologies for how late this is, I took a LOA on my characters.

Kära permitted her gaze to drift to the holo-image for just one brief moment, all the time required to analyse what she had been presented with. Then her eyes trailed back to the Hutt before her. This one was ambitious, but then so were the majority of Hutts. The Wheel was prospering, bringing her in revenue thanks to the Hutt himself.

Centares and Belderone…” the Sith-turned-Business Woman reiterated, her head tilting very subtly to the left, the way she did when thoughtful. Often a good sign, however, as this particular Sith was more than willing to decline from the first word an individual spoke. “And this would be with former considerations included? 15% even cut of the profits made, as was the deal specified when you were granted ownership of the Wheel. Is this satisfactory?”

Compared with most businessmen, Kyros was not one to dally and ramble, she did not try to haggle herself to a better deal. She knew precisely what the worth of a deal was, there was no use fluffing up the procedures. “On top of this, if shipyards were created in the orbit of both planets I expect unrestricted access and usage from them.” Popo the Hutt was not the only one in the room with plans for the starship market, only her own would be considerably different to his.

"Fifteen percent is agreeable as is the access to any orbital yards as well," Popo said calmly. He itched to try and talk her down in percentage, but refrained from doing so. Fifteen percent wasn't too bad for business and, overall, it wouldn't cut too much into his profits.

"The only thing I would ask of you would be to try and give me notice of anything you require done at the yards once they are created. That way I may speed up or consolidate projects and manufacturing to clear space ahead of your project."

Popo then brought up an enlarged section of Beldarone on the holo floating between the Hutt and the Sith Lady.

"Also, I was wondering if this was yours," Popo asked as the old and run down AT-AT factory spun above his desk. "It is old, dilapidated, and run down, but I believe I can get it working again, or even repurpose it. If it is yours, I'll gladly buy it from you. If not, I'll simply find the current owner."

Nodding her head somewhat she took in the conditions. "That sounds agreeable, and this all still remains in tact regardless of who is in power - as was agreed initially. The next overseer of these sectors did not put you where you are now, you ought to remember that in years to come."

When another area was raised on the holo-feed she stared at it, lips twitching into a small smile. "Everything in this sector is mine in one way or another - this particular building has no overseer. Have it, consider it a gift of good will, from one businessman to another."

Taking a subtle step back, she waved her hand as if it meant little to her. It was just one run down building, and if he could turn it into profit for his company then she herself would gain from it either way.

"Unless there is anything else, Good Sir?" She had other places to be, her schedule was rarely free. It was a shame, it gave her little time to focus on less trivial matters.

"Nothing that I can think of. I'll get my people on the ground and get to work as soon as possible," Popo said as he shut off the holoprojector.

Popo set the files aside on his desk and thought for a moment.

"I'm not sure if this would be in your interest, but I'm looking at buying some real estate on Tatooine," the Shell Hutt stated simply. "I plan on having the property terraformed into a... garden of sorts. A vacation spot, so to speak. I'm still in negotiation for the property itself, but once it is purchased and set up, I'll let you know. Should you desire it, you will have full access at any time to any of the private sections you wish."

The Sith Lord inclined her head towards the Hutt, and made to move back towards the door, specifically the way she had entered formerly. "If that happens then contact me, I may find some use for it, after all." Of course the commlink he would have access to on her part would not be her standard one - there was no use risking potentially being tracked or worse.

"If further business is required then likewise, contact me. Otherwise, I hope the Wheel thrives for you, alongside the other properties." There was no use in dragging it out; both parties had gotten what they wanted, after all. Moving out from his office she made her way back down to her vessel which remained in the VIP hangar. She really did despise the Wheel.
