The LO-44 MKII is an evolution of the LO-44R, much like how the Lilaste commandos are an evolution of the past Elghaseki. New missions and new goals for the special forces of the Order means new equipment. With one of the commandos' purposes being hunting down and eliminating Force-users, their equipment had to be up to the mission. The MKII is a slugthrower with a Kov'dra frame, ensuring resistance against any uses of the Force to yank the weapon away or otherwise hinder the soldier from using it. The weapon is meant for close to medium range encounters, with a high damage output and low recoil. This slugthrower sacrifices long-range capabilities for a decent rate of fire. Since the LO-44 MKII is meant to be used by stealth forces, it comes with a built in silencer that drastically reduces its noise output. A modular underbarrel can be given different attachments depending on the soldier's needs on that mission. The downside of using a slugthrower, however, is that the soldier will need to carry ammo cartridges. Usually, because this weapon is meant for stealth ops, soldiers using it do not carry that much ammo because they don't expect to use that many bullets, as well as wanting to stay as light as possible. But if they run into complications (meaning hordes of enemies) they will run out of cartridges fast.
