"You might want to try a technique called hydroponics, it's self watering, no weeding, and if done correctly can actually form it's own thriving environment." Serena was now sending a message to the deck master on Felusia to see where they could park the ship and how far it would be from the gardens.

"Great! it will be good to have a second pair of eyes looking, sometimes I forget to look at the health of a plant. But I'm still wondering where the other team went, so I'm thinking out assignment is two fold one is to do the cataloging as requested, the other is to find the team, or at least determine what happen to the team. The official was clear about it but I've never been one to always listen"

Serena looked over to Ana, "Ever break a rule?"

"That may actually work well. I just am not home enough to enjoy it and I'm alright with that. I may try that though one of these days." Ana wasn't home a lot and it was something that she was quite alright with for the time being. Mandalore would be home no matter where she went in the galaxy but for right now Ana just wished to do some exploring.

"We have to work as a team because I'm not going to allow you to be taken." Ana wasn't sure what happened or what [member="Wren"] was able to do. It would be best to stay together. "I do my best to stay out of trouble for my brother's sake. Its the last thing the Mandalorians need."

"I wasn't planning on going very far, but I can use help. Have you ever been inside a botanical garden? They are usually housed in a great glass enclosure they can be hundreds of feet high, and just as wide. The kinds of plants they seem to have been collecting some of them, they take up quite the space, there is this one that is like 3 feet across and weighs like 15 lbs in full blossom."

Serena was turning the ship now they were coming in for a landing at the landing pad designated for the labs and garden. It was eerie there were no pods, transports, or other ships to be seen. But life, she could feel life.

She looked over at the the gardens

"A bio dome and look at the water features...so pretty" Serena looked at Ana, "What do you think?"

Ana had never really been in a botanical garden before. She was more focused on things such as her training and getting better if that was even possible. She tried to keep the nightmares away and Ana had a few tricks up her sleeve to do just that. This was a mission to her but [member="Wren"] seemed to think it could be fun as well. Such things always puzzled the young woman but she could try to have more fun though this was supposed to be a job for her.

"It's beautiful," Ana stated as she got out of the ship and began to walk towards it as she figured that was where the two of them were headed. Through her travels she seemed to enjoy natural beauty more than anything else but this was beautiful as well. "Is this where we will find all the plants?"

"Yes, this is a biodome meant to create an environment that encourages the plants to thrive. Sometimes they break them up into divisions, like something indigenous to Tatooine would be in a desert biodome, while some flora indigenous to Voss would have to be in a jungle biodome." Serena walked slowly taking in the details of the grounds so much expense put in to make it such a place that everyone wanted to come there.

So if the scientists were working on cataloging it was possible they had brought in a species of plant that they were studying and knew a little about. "Most places like this need volunteers too, so if you want you could ask about it. Better yet...this kind of place is the BEST for revitalizing your connections to the force. Life connected to life" Serena smiled, "Let's find an entrance and see about a briefing"

Serena increased her pace and headed towards the main doors.

"It's very pretty," Ana smiled as she walked around the biodome. She had never been to such a fancy garden before. Sure she had a garden and had been around plenty of plants but nothing like this. Ana knew simple farmers whom grew crops so they could do their share for the clan. The fanciest thing that she had been around were the companies on Mandalore. Are only scientists allowed here or is this place open to the public?"

The force and Ana had an odd relationship. It was one she had mended though her various trainings. She was at times at peace with it and others not so much. "I would but I swear I volunteer all my time helping my brother. He really needs it." Someone had to be there for him to keep him from going crazy also volunteering here may not be for her. Perhaps helping a farmer back home.

Serena listened so she could answer the questions, her mind already going in several directions, "Yes, it's meant to be enjoyed by the public. It is because of places like this that plants that would near extinction do not go extinct, granted they aren't living in their natural environment but being here beats not being anywhere. So the public comes in and they are taught about the plants, and they get to enjoy ones from distant regions of the galaxy. I think every planet should have one, or at least every system should have one." Serena walked over towards a door that looked like an entrance.

"Someone in uniform would be nice" Serena pushed and the door gave way immediately the temperature changed, and the humidity went up. "wow." Serena looked around, but there was an odd smell in here. "there's a plant that smells like rotting meat, but..this.." Serena took another breath, "a lot of iron in it"

Serena walked slowly, "We are looking for" Serena stopped, "an office where we can pick up where they left off." There were several containers scattered across the floor. Odd, Serena pointed, "that shouldn't be there. Think of your garden anything that looks out of place for anything in your garden is likely out of place here"

Serena took a few more steps, and then turned to her left following the path of what looked like where someone had literally pulled everything out of the ground or off a shelf and threw it.

Ana had never been to a place quite like this before. The Mandalorian's were not exactly the type to be known for flowers and gardens. Even though she happened to know a few whom did like them though they would never come out and say such. It's very pretty here despite the smell. Most of these flowers I have never seen before in my life. You would be surprised, my garden is not the typical garden." It was in the middle of what most would consider a forest so it was different than this.

She turned in the opposite direction of [member="Serena Bouie"] in hopes of finding something that looked out of place. Ana thought it looked normal enough for her but what did she know. "Hey, there are some missing plants. Looks like they were pulled out." The dirt wasn't smooth as it ought to be. Ana didn't think it was worth noting but maybe it was. This could really be the case of the missing plants.

Serena came back around and looked at where Ana had seen the disturbance, "Oh now that is just a crime to pull plants up and not replace them in a biodome." She shook her head again, "I feel uneasy like something is tickling at the back my thoughts, just telling me something is wrong" Serena exhaled hard and walked bit further, "Let's head towards the center of the garden, being a dome the paths run circular like a maze sorta and lead inwards, and outwards."

Serena tried not to close her eyes she tried to focus on life around them plants had a sense of life, just like the force that connected them all balancing them all but this sense of life felt...odd. when she looked at the plants she could see varieties that she recognized, the lush green ferns, the delicate pale pink flowers from the far reaches of the galaxy. Still something was off.

She could hear it them, a shuffling of feet, least she thought it was feet, "Do you hear that?" Serena was cautious as she moved and the smell was slowly getting stronger. It was that feeling she had before of something not quite right. Serena looked up vines had grown across the the inside of the dome, not unusual. Then she heard the noise again.

"I don't know why anybody would just pull up plants like this unless they were looking for something. It doesn't make sense." Gardens, well hers at least, were supposed to be a place of peace but this place just made her feel a little uneasy. Ana tried to shake it off as she was pretty sure that it was nothing and all just in her head. She didn't want to alarm Serena over nothing so instead she just quietly walked along with her to the center. This biodome was beautiful and the plants only become more so as she continued her journey to the center.

"Can you grown like fruits and vegetables in one of these thing? I believe that would be quite useful to our situation back home." Ana normally wasn't to talk too much but she found herself wanting to know more in regards to the plants that surrounded them. Before her question was answered Ana stopped speaking suddenly. "Ya, I hear it. Get back. I'll go check it out." She nodded to her quietly as she put her helmet on and grabbed her blaster. It was show time.

The sound was so quiet that she couldn't exactly get a read on where it was coming from or on any other lifeforms in the area. It was very wierd and when she git back home she would need to look at this helmet. She was picking up something, she just didn't know what it was. "Can you fight?" She couldn't just leave her here.

"hydroponics you only need a water source to make the roots seek the water" Serena was talking but her words may not have been for what Ana had asked her mind was looking around them while her eyes tried to give her more information.

Can she fight? "I have training with light saber, not my strongest Jedi skill but enough that...yes I can fight" The noise that Serena heard sounded like dragging someone, or something across the tiles of the path, and then the grass. Serena took a few more steps, not always adhering to what others told her to do, her curiosity would most certainly get her killed one day.

"That sound Ana is....odd for in here...there shouldn't be any animals not all are condusive to the proprogation of plants" She wasn't even sure if what she just said made sense.

Ana had training with a light saber as well however it wasn't her greatest skill either. She preferred Mando toys and that to her saber any day of the week. It was what her family used so she herself was used to such things. Good," Ana smiled as she continued to walk forward slowly trying to listen to what was going on. The sound was weird, unlike anything she had ever heard before. The way it sounded as it moved made her think that perhaps it was something unalive if that even made any sense.

"I can hear a lot of ruckus but I still can't see it as of yet. I only can see planets but stay on your toes. I think it will be coming in fast whatever it happens to be."

She wasn't sure of anything at the moment this all felt odd, something was wrong in here. Serena looked around as they walked that sound, that dragging sound seemed to be growing louder, closer.

Maybe someone was hurt, "hello" she called out and for a moment the sound stopped. Serena looked at [member="Anastasia Rade"] something touched her chills ran down her arms, goose bumps formed, Serena took a step forward again the chill this time down her back like something walking on her. she swallowed hard took another step her hand went to her light saber.

"Ana" she whispered. Serena spun around at first nothing seemed to be there then she smelled it, the rotting meat smell, something drew her eyes upwards. Her mouth dropped open "What the"

As she stood there transfixed, a huge maw was opening. Serena couldn't believe it, she had to be dreaming. "that is not possible"

Ana normally worked alone or with Vode and there was a very good reason for it. They all had been trained for this sort of thing and knew how to react in the unknown. They were no always perfect but nearly perfect and they would never call out. She tried not to cringe as Serena called out 'hello'. That would give away their position if whatever was already out there didn't know where they were.

She saw her partner had a lightsaber and said she could fight. Ana was sure she had taken a few academy classes but hadn't seen any action. It was the way she was shivering which gave it away an action she had done many times as a child but she had to toughen up quickly. To be fair, Ana could be a little rough with others based on how she grew up and what she was used to. It was ok, Ana would protect her.

"What the?" Ana blinked looking at the giant plant that was now in the middle of the room. "Get behind me," she stated as she stepped in front of her. The knight was there as protection and that was what she was going to do. Igniting her saber Ana took a few steps forward debating on how to proceed.

[SIZE=12pt]Serena was staring the Jedi sense in her wasn’t alerting her to danger, and yet the maw on the PLANT before her had a strange odor, and was not acting like a plant.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The force dealt with the living with the natural, this…[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She was looking up still as Ana stepped in front of her.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]“Stand still Ana, it doesn’t have eyes so.it’s using something else to sense us” Serena was quiet as she thought, there was the possibility that it would seek to swallow them. But even then if it were a plant the lightsaber would shred it to nothing before anything could happen.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]“It’s still a plant, even if it seems to want to…eat us”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Serena put her hands on Ana’s shoulders to combine their body heat, make one signature, and make them look different.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The plant moved forward lowering its budlike head over them as if it were looking for them. Serena put some pressure on Ana’s shoulders only to get her to drop a little, not a lot.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]They could still run then something happened the Serena not anyone else who did anything with plants would expect.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The plant made a sound. Not the slithering sound of roots on pavement, no this was a vibration of sound from the throat.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]“oh” Serena whispered. Now she pulled Ana back, “time to go” Serena was trying to impress how urgent it would be to go…[/SIZE]

Ana had seen a lot of different things in her life but nothing quite like this. A plant which wanted to eat people seemed like such a weird thing that it couldn't be right or possible. She worked in her garden and had never encountered anything like that this before. The Sith she knew had the ability to raise the dead so perhaps it was something like that with a plant. It didn't matter either way, Ana just knew that it was now time to run.

Instead of turning around to see what this new sound was Ana took this opportunity to run out of the greenhouse. She had a sick feeling that the plant was right behind them. "We need to find somewhere to hid." Ana stated as she ran towards a building and stopped at the side hiding for now. When Ana said hiding she really meant regrouping and figuring out a way to kill this thing. She was not one to run from a fight.

"How do we kill this thing?"

[SIZE=12pt]How do we kill it, Serena echoed the thoughts of Ana’s words. How do we kill it?[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]“With a hoe?” She smiled trying to make this a little easier. If they killed it it could still be studied. Which would be beneficial, but Serena felt that this plant was manipulated in some way, maybe some vong technology spliced with the plant.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She just didn’t know. She wanted time to think it through, “Do you think the plant somehow did in the others?”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]They would need to find out, can’t leave families wondering.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Serena stopped running and stood still.[/SIZE]


[SIZE=12pt]“Maybe there’s weed killer that we can modify, or maybe it really is a matter of chopping off the head. If we can get close enough...” She took a deep breath then, “I can be the bait if you can chop it up”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She tilted her head. “What do you think?”[/SIZE]

"I am afraid so," Ana nodded as she thought of the situation more. It seemed logical in her mind at the very least and she wasn't about to be the one to find out. She would rather run and just get away from it but [member="Serena Bouie"] was correct in saying that they needed to kill it. They couldn't just leave it alive for the next poor sap to find and get eaten by.

"Do you think fire would work? I could burn it to a crisp?" Ana just wanted to take care of the thing as quickly as possible. She had used other Mando's as bait and never had an issue however here she was questioning the whole thing. She didn't want to put anyone else in danger unless it was absolutely necessary. They didn't have much time though and needed to come up with a plan now. "If you think that will work the best, lets go for it."

[SIZE=12pt]Serena thought quickly, she didn’t want to burn the entire garden just…it. “Yes…but we need to lure it to a spot where we can just get rid of it, and I need a sample to give to my mother for study” but yes fire would do it.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The one thing about fire it was all consuming and left nothing behind but flaky gray ash that blew all evidence away on the wisp of a breeze.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Serena looked around now thinking, “Ok…we need to get it into a place where it won’t think twice about going. And then dose it with accelerant, and then ignite it with the light saber.”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Serena took a breath, “So we need accelerate, there are bound to be chemicals that will burn...” She bit her lip as she thought, her blue eyes fixed on a single spot as her mind worked through what the green house should have, “What do you think?”[/SIZE]
