It is unknown who commissioned them to be built but they appear very rarely in holonet auction houses commanding insane prices that no one would ever think of paying before vanishing as soon as it popped up. It is regarded as almost a Myth among collectors and oddity enthusiasts, theories regard it's creation to somewhere between the rise and fall of the resurgent empire and it's limited run is presumed to be created by the same artist. Every piece is identical in every way save for the serial number in the base bottom.

Collectors regard it as a Myth because pictures and images have come across the holonet but being so rare physically seeing one or on a live display where it can be verified is non-existent. The high end, high echelon tier of collectors know someone that knows someone who swears up and down he saw one or several and verified it but none can be proven unless you happen to catch one.

The reason for it's limited run is presumed to be it's danger, having a very real miniature lightsaber capable of slicing through a finger or more. It requires a power source and once ignited the glow of it's blade is powerful enough to illuminate a room making for a wonderful and insanely expensive night light.

The Last Known Sale of One in a Black Market Auction Channel in the Deep Holonet according to Ancient Eye Slicers was a whooping 1.2 million credits to a "LharhamarOfArdia" a user with a high tech secure system that hid his location milliseconds after the fund exchange

. At first such a buy out was presumed to be just a front, being that the figure would be 'code' for a larger sale but upon further research they came across communities of collectors and antique/oddity enthusiasts that briefed them of the figurines mythical story. In essence the existence of these figurines, their insane prices and the almost cult-like following they have raises much more questions than it does answers. Given that few if any know who the figurine is modeled after given that he is not like the Dark Lord of the Sith or Mythos or Isley, he does not appear on news or holonet archives. His existence is not common knowledge even in circles of Sith Lords in the galaxy.

It is an anomaly and it's mystery is perhaps the secret behind it's incredible price tag and almost supernatural allure, a mystery that most likely will remain unsolved.
