Eloise glanced at the Bothan, who quickly climbed onto the bike behind Amani. With a sigh, Eloise got on the back, completing the unfortunate sandwich.

The engine revved to life, and they shot off. Amani complained about how she hated speeder bikes while the Bothan clung to her for dear life.

Once their pursuers started shooting, Eloise used her lightsaber to deflect the blaster fire. It was exceptionally difficult to do, since they were firing at her backside and she couldn’t turn around to face them. What’s more, she wasn’t used to deflecting projectiles—she had training in it, but virtually no field experience. Zaathru didn’t have blasters, after all.

The rate of fire gradually grew heavier, and she was able to adequately deflect the bolts less and less. Hopefully they were close to their destination…

Initially, Eloise was able to keep the blaster fire at bay. Thankfully, many weren't even close to their target; Accurately in the middle of a high speed bike chase was hard, y'know. But the position wasn't easy to defend from either, and from just a few occasionally glances back, Amani could tell the padawan was struggling, "There it is, up ahead." The spaceport was coming into view.

As the intensity seemed to reach a pitch, Amani made a sudden, daring move; She swerved the bike, sliding to face the shooters from the side. The knight drew her own saber, sticking it out in front of both the Bothan and Eloise, blocking a few near-hits. Another shot came, which she deflected back at one of the speeders, causing it to lose control. Then, with a gentle nudge of the force, she turned that same bike's handlebar towards the other slaver bike. Before they could watch whatever came of that scramble, Amani launched back into high gear, shooting down and alley before making the turn back towards the port. Amani, for her part, was happy to ditch the bike, even after only a short ride.
