Biography
Born to Harakn and Klara Matni, Rinku faced a privileged life with little to no challenges or hardships being placed upon him. With his father busy with his senatorial duties both on Coruscant and his homeplanet of Mirial, raising the young child was left to his mother and the newly hired nanny, Ida. For the remainder of his early childhood, Rinku would grow up in comfort knowing those that loved him the most were taking care of him and acting as a shield against the harsh reality of the rising galactic conflicts.
As tensions rose between the Jedi and Senate on Coruscant, Senator Matni withdrew his staff back to Mirial, allowing a much-needed break from the tenuous galactic scene. Now having a chance at a better relationship with his father, Lerinku began to take an interest in the politician's career, assisting his father as much as a child his age could. By age 10, Lerinku had gained enough knowledge of the Senate and its duties that he had been able to take part in various hearings alongside his father. As his knowledge grew so too did the bond between father and son until the fateful invasion of the One Sith.
Having been called to the Senate to discuss the recent fall of Coruscant, Lerinku was left alone with his mother and nanny on Mirial. Not one for warfare, the spiritual Mirialans were unprepared for the orbital bombardment of the Sith forces, causing devastation on the planet surface. In the chaos that followed, Rinku was separated from both his caregivers left to fend for himself among his distraught people. As the fog of turmoil lifted, Rinku was tormented by the disfigured remains of his mother and nanny, their deaths a result of Sith cruelty.
What remained of Rinku's happy life vanished with the departing Sith cruisers. Mirial and the people of his home world had appeared to lose it's mystical vitality. Seeing no reason to stay, the young man, now 16, joined his father at the capital of the Galactic Republic. Using politics and his new studies under his tutor, Opatu, Rinku put the horrors of the past aside, though he would never be truly rid of the traumatic events. Now exposed to the greater galactic powers, it was not long before the Jedi of the Republic noticed the young man's considerable strength in the force. The Guardians of democracy discussed Lerinku's transfer to the Jedi Order however Harakn turned down the offer, blaming the past skirmishes within the Order to the fall of his beloved Republic. However Harakn could not deny the necessity of his son's training in the Force. Reaching out to his allies, he was able to enrol Lerinku in the Jedi academy on Voss, home of the Silver Sanctum Consortium.
Now on a shuttle to the mystical planet, Lerinku leaves behind the capital of democracy for the home of the Masters of the Force, prepared for the triad and tribulations that await him as a member of the Silver Jedi Order.
