Learning the Techniques of Teaching

The view of the satellite dockyard over the planet of Essos was stunning. The newly promoted Lord Minister of the Dominion was tired from the days in the senate chamber. He almost missed the smell of weapons grease and the smell of the Battle Cruisers. Yet he was given a position of most importants to the Dominion, a position that changed them from the evil and defiling Galaxtic Alliance. He was to rebuild and redefine the Dominion Protectorate Senate. A elected body of officals the represented the interests and needs of the planets of the Dominion. It was a tiresome ordeal that he often wished to escape. To be honest though, if it weren't for the allies in the senate that were loyal to the ideals he shared, his job would have been an uphill battle.

Such was the reason he purchased this room in secrets from the second hand Dock Manager. The man who owned the station mainly did repairs for private individuals. Truest the rent Drox was paying was enough to keep the marking thing afloat until the damed Free Worlds Network found him lounging around.

He was looking over the paperwork sent to him by some Military Officers he had served with back in the Dominion Military. They had suggested the veteran War Officer meet a young officer by the name of [member="Adron Malvern"]. The last name was unfamiliar to the family ties he served. The Fuga Family had allies with many of the powerful lords of the Dominion, but this man seemed interesting. Such was the reason he set up the meeting with the man, the only question now was if he could impress him.

Lieutenant Adron Malvern, a rather sobering step down from Count, Senator, and Lord of his house. As were their obligations to The Dominion, Serenno was expected to offer up both a Senator and military representative to their host. Adron had taken both of those burdens into his own, knowing the pay off for such a responsibility would be more than enough reward.

Today was his first day acting on military orders, in contrast to the Diplomatic and business ordeals he had overtaken. Adron, as a prodigy of the nobility was to be groomed in the ways of Command. For that he would need a mentor, and The Dominion had seen fit to supply him with one.

[member="Drox Fuga"] was a seasoned Commander and like Adron he too came from a respected family. While the Fuga's had not had their hands dipped into Serenno enough to know of the Malvern family, Adron's tragedy spoke for itself through the grapevine.

Adron's rapier hung loosely by his side as he made his way down the hall, his black cloak flowing behind him. He found himself staring at the door to Fuga's office, exhaling softly before knocking on the door softly. The military uniform he was glad in was an all too odd feeling on his body, so was reporting to another individual.

As the old Lord Protectorate and current Lord Minister of the Dominion, receiving Claassified Intelligence from the DSB was easy. The hard part was actually reading the story of [member="Adron Malvern"] and his illustrious family. To have such a loyal family to the Archlord cut down before they could spread the ideal and peace of the Head of the Greyson Family, that was a true disaster...

The officer and political leader of the Dominion sat in his seat behind his desk in his protected armor. It wasn't that he didn't trust the young man, but he didn't trust anyone other then the Archlord in these times of struggle. Though the Galactic Alliance was preoccupied with the First Order, the Dominion was not short on pest at the moment. Reading more about this House of Malvern continued to relay the ideals of a strong military. He shared the same ideals as the young officers late father, he was striving to reach that goal within the senate. Many senators however feared the idea of sending their constituents into a war or battle that didn't concern the planets interest. This boy may change the landscape as he was a senator as well.

He heard a knock from the door and he spun around still looking at his datapad with the information. "You may enter Lieutenant." The gravely voice was turning more and more into his fathers. It must have been a side effect of all those years of yelling out orders. Now to think he was still yelling, but with rats afraid of their own shadow.

A moment passed and Adron exhaled as he tapped the console to the door, forcing it to part for his entry. He stepped forward, his chin high and chest out as any man of noble birth would. There was an air of respect and pride that followed him, yet also an air of naivety and newness to the true ways of the galaxy. He stood at attention, as was his military training, his heels clapped together and his eyes locked forward. "I am Cou-" He faulted, his words betraying him.

"I am Lieutenant Malvern, reporting as ordered sir." His father once told him respect in command must be earned as all other things. While he may be a lord of his house he was only a pup in the eyes of the military, for that to change he must open himself to a whole new aspect, that of the follower.

His eyes scanned over the man before him, though he tried his hardest to remain inconspicuous. Fuga indeed seemed to be all of the man that Adron had expected, he was curious to see just what type of man that was.

Watching the young [member="Adron Malvern"] walk into the mans office, Drox didn't look up at him. He only continued to finish reading the report that agents of the DSB that recovered his body after the assassination. He listened to the man as he had a slip of the tongue and recovered. The boy showed his lack of discipline, but didn't have an over arching ego that he retreated and realized his mistakes and took the appropriate steps to recover from his down fall. The signs of a good commander and a excellent student.

He waited a second as the officer stood there, he finished the report and set it on the table. He stood up and slowly walked over to the front of the officer. The sound of his boots hitting the floor made a 'clack' as he had these specially ordered to have metal placed in special areas on the bottom of the boots. His presence vibrated the air around him with authority and fear. He was trained at a very young age and been through Civil War, Coups, Rebellions and organized Military Campaigns. This was all very apparent in his steely gaze that scanned the young Count. He served to revenge the death of his Father and restore the honor of the Dominion and rescue the prisoners of the Siege of Atrisia. His did not want to waist his time with the protected young man if he was not a tool that could benefit the Dominion.

"No worries count, I'm sure you know who I am," Drox stood in a military fashion, hands behind his back, "I have asked you here to take up a special request, after the addition of your home world, the Dominion Senate needs a military presence to guard the Sector and as Lord Minister and approval from the Archlord, we would like to name the Serenno the 2nd Sector Army, as representative of this planet how would you feel about this?"

Adron listened intently to the Lord Protector's words, realizing them to be extremely beneficial to the young man. In the back of his mind Adron had hoped to rise to command an army over his world, knowing such power could be beneficial to the planet as well as his personal quest for vengeance. No man could dare go against the Counts of Serenno, but if he was placed in command of the planet by The Dominion he would be given authority over them that they could have no hope of challenging.

The want to smile crept to him but he kept the notion to himself, opting to nod at the man's words in return. "It would be an honor, sir. Serenno would be proud to host The Dominion's forces." He stated, no lacking in faith or truth coming from his words.

As the Dominion's military representative he held more power through The Dominion than most of the other Count's combined, and would be hard pressed to turn such power down. "I would like to personally serve in these force, if it pleases you, sir." He commented with an iota of pride dripping from him.

This boy, [member="Adron Malvern"], seemed rather interested to test his military skill. Or at least show himself worthy of a Dominion Supporter. His power in the senate was only as stog as his support of the Archlord. He has some supporters within the senate, but only for a narrow group. Drox was building a support network himself. Having this young count as a possible supporter would benefits the both of them. Senerro was a very strategic planet for Non-Hyperway supply lines. Smaller Hyperspace Trade Lanes were well known to run of the mill merchants and with the supply lines of Telos taken away, his homeworld was the only safe way to trade their raw goods to the Core Worlds.

The main concern though was a clear support of one house over the others. The last thing the Dominion Military needed was a Civil Unrest on this particular planet. There was a compromise that must be in place and this young man would have to overcome this to prove himself to the Lord Minister. "Of course Commander, but at least one member of each of the Royal Houses of Senerro have a commission in the Second Army," He started to walk to the window, it was filled with stars and the blackness of space. A small crest of the capitals planet of Ession creeped into view. The young officer could feel the pull of Drox as he waited for the young count to approach and look at the view together, "but I can't ignore that you have served the Dominion before the creation, we struggle to find officers with experience, as such I've come to the conclusion to bestow the rank of Lieutenant Commander, serve the Archlord well Count."

Lieutenant Commander was an impressive rank to have, not only would it give Adron the change to hone his military skills, it would give him the authority to continue with his plans to advance Serenno's military. "Thank you, sir. I'll see to it a representative from each house is commissioned within the Second Army as well as see to the hosting of the army on Serenno."

Drox had indeed entrusted Adron with a steady command and one that could be mutually beneficial for both The Dominion and Serenno, things were going impressively well so far for the young Count.

"My father believed in The Dominion. He also believed that the Count's of Serenno have a duty to see The Dominion thrive under our guidance, I will not fail my father, the Archlord, or you, sir." He stated solemnly

The Lord Minister was impressed with how [member="Adron Malvern"] contained his excitement. Though he was no Force User, he could still tell that any soldier that devoted himself to a cause would be rather happy to get noticed for it. He was in the same shoes as the young Count, he could only guess how the man felt.

Drox continued to look out the window of the space station into the emptiness of space. Nothing but this thick modified glass was the separation between him and certain death. It was such a common thing now a days that most people took it for granted. The thin slivers near death everyone had nearly everyday was amusing to the Lord, really made one appreciate life they had. In his case though, it made him appreciate to have the opportunity he had now. Most of the Galaxy was at war or just waiting for a Galactic Power to conquer them one way or another. The planets and citizens of the Dominion were safe now, peace was the beating heart of the Dominion Citizen. Expansion though, that was on the minds of every Citizen, Politician, and Soldier of every corner of the Dominion Space.

Drox stood there looking up slightly, "I have a lot of faith in you Commander Malvern," He turned to the young man, a sternness, steel gaze was clear on his face. "I would hate to push the Senate to base the 2nd Army out of your homeworld to be challenged by your customs, I trust you with a great task Commander."
