Learning About Oneself

[member="Satara Hawk"] [member="Anastasia Rade"]

Blackened teeth would part with seemingly devilish glee. A slide of her arm would set her bow in place, the arrows shaking slightly in the quiver on her back. A tap upon the flat bony plate of the Rancor would give the signal, and with a tremble, the great girth of the rancor would start to kneel down, allowing a method for the older witch to slide off her mount.

She was a mass of interesting contradictions. Face seemed unlined, but when she would talk, a dozen or or so wrinkles would appear only to disappear upon her translucent skin. With eyes like a dead fish, filmy with the illusion of cataracts, but in reality as clear and sure as any prophet eyes.

Various sacks would jingle at her hips, a large walking stick made of maldrass bone used to bring her closer, until finally, she stood in front of Anastasia.

Much like a lizard observing with beady eyes, so did Kytarra to the younger witch, as if peering straight into her soul.

Finally, as if satisfied, she would take a small bladder at her hip, uncorking it only to offer it to the young woman.

"Drink." she commanded, the spicey scent of cloves, lemongrass, and sickly sweet fermented milk rising from it's contents. A tonic, used to enhance hallucinogenic in the trial that was to come.

Anastasia took the bladder from her and just looked at it for a moment. It smelled far to sweet for her liking but that wasn't the reason for her hesitation. In the past she had been forced to drink, eat all sorts of things which always came with a painful, negative reaction. She couldn't help thinking about that now.

She wished to know what this thing was but doubted that she would be told. It was probably for whatever was coming next. Either way, it wasn't poison and as such Anastasia drank until it was gone.
Dropping the bladder she couldn't help but make a face. It hadn't gone down well at all and her stomach was feeling a bit queazy. She had vile stuff before so this she knew she could handle.

"What was that?" She questioned pointing down at the empty bladder. It was a stupid question considering that she had already drank the mixture. Still, since it was making her feel odd she wanted to know what she was in for.

A black toothy grin would merely shine upon the younger.

"Dhat which shall ease yer path to dha trails dhat await you child." she told her. Of course, it was a hallucinogenic, served to grant a method for the younger witch to be more prone to visions -- and when sent upon areas of high Force potential, be faced with trials by fire the choices she shall make to bridge into her adepthood.

The young witch nodded at the response not saying a thing about how she was beginning to feel a little sick. Anastasia figured that was all apart of the process and that she would be alright. There was no reason to not believe her as the witches had never steered her wrong before.

Before she was able to as when these trials were to begin she saw a flash of light and the scene changed to the past. It wasn't always the past that she saw but sometimes the future and even the present.

The ten year old blonde stood straight in line as one of the Graug leaders showed all the slaves off to a potential buyer. She could feel her heart pound in her chest as others were pulled out of line. As she turned to watch she felt a hand grab hers to pull her away.

She struggled at first trying to pull away but than the grip tightened and she turned to see a Graug Priest pulling her from the line unwillingly.

No sooner had the vision began did it fade away. The visions had started to become clearer, longer and felt more real. It was nice that her gift was becoming more useful but on the other hand it left her unnerved.

Blinking she lightly ran her hands along her arms.
“I saw the past, my past. Do you see visions of the past as well?” The trial, what are they? She wasn't one to share her visions or well at least the ones from the past. She was curious though if she did as well.

"Dhat which the Winged Goddess reveals come and go. Some clear. Some not." she'd say in turn, hobbling over to the Rancor.

"You must face dhat which you fear, young warrior. Focus. Bring clarity. A trial of fire means to take you to dha depths that which may overwhelm you.

Focus. For you only bring dhat which you bring yourself."

What did she fear? Being a slave? Being an outcast? Unloved? She had faced the other two head on already and was doing just fine for herself. She was worried of being sold into slavery again. She heard on the holonews of individuals being sold all the time.

Nodding she took a deep breath, closing her eyes and tried to focus. The visions of the past and if the future had become clearer to her before. There were even some in which she could now make out the planet.

As she opened them once again the scenery was not what it once was. The luscious green forest was replaced with cold hard stone walls which reminded her of the walls back in her cell. In fact this room looked exactly like the cell she had spent the majority of her life in. Reaching for the door she pulled at it trying to open it but it was locked. The young woman could feel her heart begin to beat fast even though she knew this was nothing more than a vision.

Pulling on the door she found that it wouldn't budge no matter how hard she pulled on it. "Hey let me out of here!!" She yelled as she pounded on the door. Tears began to form in her eyes but she held them back as she continued to pound.

Suddenly the door opened and a Graug that she was quite familiar with stepped inside with three of his minions. "Your ours girl," he laughed grabbing onto her wrists before she even had a chance to react. "Did you forget that or do you need to be whipped back into shape? Come we are late."

Struggling against his grip he pulled her out to the slave yards that she knew so well and into the line. This line was formed when potential buyers came to view the merchandise. Hot tears streamed down her cheek as she watched slim go through the line touching and grabbing the others before her. This was all a dream but it seemed so real.

"This ones pretty," the man stated stepping towards Anastasia and lightly running a hand down her cheek. "Spin for me deary," he smiled. She complied and did as he asked so that he would keep moving. In the back of her mind a plan was forming which could help her escape and be free.

Taking a deep breath she stepped forward as her name was called. She no longer was that weak little girl. She was a strong warrior, a witch and she was nobodies property not now, not ever.
"Dai poteri delle streghe prima di me, mi viene il potere sugli oggetti, mi il potere di muoversi come vedo in forma!" She stated as the leader turned his head. The rock that she had been focusing on began to rise and fling at her target. She realized it wasn't much but it was enough to start something.

As the Graug looked around dazed and confused she managed to loosen the rope around her hands but didn't drop it not yet. As the guards turned to her she spouted off another spell.

"Nu'ashuvi Allya concedimi la volontà di essere forte. Concedimi la volontà di messa a fuoco. Mi permetta di superare la mia paura e rabbia. Così ho la mia colpire il mio nemico per i peccati che ha commesso contro di me. Ora! and than followed it up with one more advance. It would confuse her dimwitted captors enough so she could escape. " Grandi Spiriti di Dathomir, più puro delle anime che è venuto prima di noi, che io chiamo fuori la nebbia, io suscitare la foschia. Nascondermi dallo sguardo di un mortale, mi nasconda ora!"

Freeing herself completely she turned to the others knowing that she couldn't leave them. The mist wouldn't last long but she could never forgive herself if she just ran. "Come on, let's go. Run onto the ship." She stated as she untied each one of them and watched them go and soon she went with them.

Meanwhile, unknown to the young initiate, Kytarra would observe through the majick of the Winged Goddess and the Fang God, for all of her movements had been but a mere illusion. All the while, she had been chanting around [member="Anastasia Rade"], calling upon that raw primal power that would give rise to the Spirit Ichor cloud surrounding Anastasia.

Her eyes would glow with an unearthly light, bright as the moons rays on a full moon. Power would roll, and in this she would continue to weave more and more into the manifestation of the younger witches trial.

"Hurry, hurry" she motioned to the slaves to hurry and get on the ship as the fog began to fade. The young witch could also sense something else growing closer however she could pinpoint what it was. There was no time to ponder what it was as the Graug had spotted them and were coming in fast.

"Grab a weapon and get ready to fight," she turned to those on the ship. The scared little girl whom used to fear her captors was now dead. Anastasia was ready to step into the woman she had become.

Reaching behind her she took the blaster that was handed to her with a nod. Even though she tried she couldn't shake off the feeling something was off.

Just as she gave the order to shoot the sky became eerily dark and began to roar as if it was about to storm. Great, just what she needed.

Chaos would soon come to ensue within the vision, to what extent that was entirely up to the will of the Winged Goddess and the Fanged God.

But what would come would strengthen [member="Anastasia Rade"].

Or consume her.

As bullets flew the wind began to howl and than came the Lightning and rain. Ana couldn't believe her luck, couldn't things just go right for once?

"I need one of you to start the ship. We are getting out of here." She normally was meek and quiet but today she was the leader. Someone had to take a stand amongst the hurt and weak. Ana was strong enough to be the one to stand and shout let my people go!

The Graug leader whom had tormented her for years was still gaining ground. He never seemed to die like a cockroach or something. She wanted to kill him but she wasn't a killer. Az had taught her that much at least. If she could sense the weather she certainly could control it too. This was a vision or something still, right?

As if thunder wasn't enough it got worse as the wind began to pick up speed and swirl around in a circle like a hurricane. The ramp began to close as they began to take off. They were not out of the woods yet.

"Wait," she paused before continuing her way to the cock pit. She ran to a view point to get to the bottom of a roaring sound that she heard. Ana's thoughts of a dragon were confirmed. This day was getting weirder and weird. She just wanted to get to a beach or somewhere safe.

A short spell which for once came in handy told her that clear skies were ahead so she wouldn't worry about the dragon until she needed to. Bending over a little girl she grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her. "Your safe now, I won't let anything happen to you." Ana had barely gotten the words out of her mouth when the ship began rocking back and forth. Instead of going to help she just held on to the scared little girl as she trusted her crew as they made the jump into hyperspace.

The vestiges of the hallucinogenic would start to wane within the young witch, soon clarity would come to her.

Long knobby fingers would span, arch and then curl as the light would dim from Kytarra's eyes.

Silence would ensue, as the Shaman would look to her mother [member="Satara Hawk"].

Sia wasn’t scared of what was going to happen next. She couldn’t be as countless former slaves counted on her now. They had nowhere to go and nowhere to turn to and as such they looked for her for guideness. She needed to be strong and hold it together for them and be a leader. The strong independent woman she was growing into.

The problem was that she didn’t have room for them in her little cottage. She didn’t have the resources to feed them all or find them the help they desperately needed. Sia still had issues finding enough work for herself in order to feed herself. She still felt the need and desire to help others whom needed her. Sia would figure out what to do somehow and provide for them.
Letting go of the little girl she got up so that she could not only think but check out the rest of the ship and ensure that everyone else was doing alright. It had been quite a day for all of them and things were only about to get weirder as things progressed.

As she began to walk she noticed that the scenery was beginning to chance once again. The tired faces of slaves were turning into tree and she saw the older witches come back into view. As things became clear she remained silent.
