STRENGTHS
  • Large ammo capacity: This rifle can carry 10000 rounds in one magazine, meaning the wielder rarely (if ever) has to reload.
  • Holographic Sight: The Holographic Sight on top of the LE-04A1 allows its user to see targets at farther distances that if they were simply using iron sights.
  • Mounted Turret: The LE-04A1 is a mounted Blaster, and as such does not suffer from recoil or kick.
WEAKNESSES
  • Extremely Heavy: The weight of the LE-04A1 makes it impossible to use unless it is mounted on some form of a tripod or fixed base.
  • Long Reload: Although its magazine size allows for near-limitless firing, its size makes reloading the weapon extremely difficult and time consuming.
  • Poor accuracy: The LE-04A1 has less accuracy than a standard blaster rifle, meaning that it takes a few shots before it hits what its user is aiming for.
  • Malfunctions: Despite being the newest model, the LE-04A1's scope and cooling system are prone to malfunctioning at times where their usage is necessary.
DESCRIPTION
The LE series of Heavy Blaster Rifle appeared from a commission made by the bounty hunter Leenic Ellsil for a high-powered Heavy Blaster Rifle. The Model that was selected for usage by Leenic Ellsil, the LE-05, was a step forward from the LE-04 in terms of maneuverability, but also lacked a functioning cooling system and would overheat. As such, BlasTech sought to improve upon their prototype model of the LE-04 by enhancing it with both a holographic sight and an upgraded cooling system. These upgrades, however, kept the LE-04A1 stuck to being a mounted weapon used on gunships and APCs.

The LE-04A1 is an upgraded model of the LE-04 Heavy Blaster Rifle, and as such has multiple advantages over its prototype counterpart. This weapon has an advanced cooling system on it that combines a rotating set of six barrels (similar to a minigun) with a constant dispersion of cold water around the barrels. This cooling system allows for the LE-04A1 to fire upwards of a thousand rounds before beginning to overheat, and then only need about 10 seconds to cool off. A second upgrade that this weapon has over the LE-04 is its built-in holosight, which assists the user in finding targets at a greater distance than if the user was using iron sights. These upgrades do still malfunction, however, and it has been seen that during extended usage both the cooling system and the Holographic sight either shut down or function at sub-optimal capacity.
