Appearance:
Lana is a beautiful young near human woman, with long brown hair, a tanned complexion, and vibrant hazel eyes. She is around average in height, and an athletic form. Not what one would call curvaceous. Across her skin, are many scars, some new, many well faded. She is always clean, smelling faintly of some type of flower or fruit.

Bio:

Born on some farming planet or another, young Lana was taught from a very young age to pilot the farming vehicles, to repair them, and the farm droids. She was given a decent education at the settlement school, and to all the world looked like a normal, healthy young girl. Sadly, looks can often be deceiving. Both of her parents were drunks, unhappy in the marriage and actively cheating on the other. This left their young daughter often on the receiving end of their frustrations. She did her best to grin and bear it, always feeling that it would get better in time.

It just never did. When she was twelve, she ran away from home, and met up with a smuggler. Hitching a ride on his ship, she was taken for a tour of the galaxy at his side, taught to help fly his ship, and then, dropped off on Nar Shaddaa when someone better came along. Abandoned on the Smugglers Moon, what was supposed to be a way to escape the abuse, simply became so much more of it.

Abandoned, alone, and without a home, she had to scrounge for what she wanted. Hide from the legitimate, and steal what she could. Various groups took her in and taught her skills from fighting, slicing, stealing, and the like for various favors. Without a choice, she did what she had to do.

Learning all she could, the girl grew up on the streets, where she slowly used whatever various drugs she could get her hands on, to help ease the pain, or make her forget what was happening for a bit, and as time went on it just got worse. The older she got, the more unwanted attention she got. However, she also began to pilot, and this began to change her life, at least somewhat.

Winning several minor races, in rented speeders, the girl made a name for herself, was sponsored by a local crime organization, and was able to get off the streets. They trained her piloting skills, gave her the best equipment, and she didn't disappoint. Time after time, she won, or at least got in the top three. Nar Shaddaa was all in a buzz over the young woman who came out of no where. Sadly, even this success didn't earn her freedom from the torment she had always faced.

As she got more famous, and her image was on many products, some members from the old gangs and groups that had taken her in showed up. One specific one simply asked for help. He had become a back alley doctor, and was trying to take care of a group of orphans to give them a better chance than they had. However, the Criminal Organization she was part of was considering using them as slaves. They needed help. Using the money she had been making for the group, she leverage herself in exchange for the kids. So long as the children remained on Nar Shaddaa and under the jurisdiction of the group, and she kept piloting and obeying the kids would be taken care of, and given the money they needed. But as in all things, several of the kids caught the wrong type of attention, and she risked her life to get them and the doctor off planet. Having broken her own agreement, she was punished severely, and put on an even tighter leash. Yet, she had a sense of accomplishment, she knew the kids were safe now. Over years most of them got adopted, most had healthy lives now. She did the right thing. For a single moment she was able to do something good, and it made the pain worth it.

Fighting, blaster combat, piloting, slicing, fixing equipment and ships, she practiced it all, doing everything she could to keep busy. All the while, she hoped for someone, anyone to save her. But she knew, deep inside, heroes didn't exist. The galaxy was a dark place, that devoured you, and destroyed you, and didn't care. The only hero that had existed had been her, and so if someone was going to save her, it would be her. She just wasn't sure how yet. But she would find a way out, before it all killed her.
