The Lakeshore is your average highfalutin business/governance yacht in almost all respects. The interior is trademark Naboo, all art deco luxury concealing a practical approach. Respectable defenses and self-repair protocols give it good odds of surviving your average encounter on the spacelanes. Ion-scramblers keep its transceiver operations from being detected. It's got subspace and hypercomm functionality, as well as a quantum-entangled emergency distress link that tells exactly one other ship or station that there's distress at coordinates X, Y, Z. Apart from the unusual and valuable quantum comm, all of the above is fairly standard for a yacht like this.
In one area, however, the Lakeshore excels. Jorus Merrill and his team of elite hyperspace engineers modified the hyperdrive to speeds that not even experimental military ships can match.
