As a noblewoman, Selene takes great pride in her appearance. Her deep red hair is always neatly groomed, her pale skin always washed and proper. Her complexion is near clear, as much of her youth was spent perfecting her physical charms, attempting to look as beautiful as her mother and older sisters. Her crystalline blue eyes are always guarded, befitting her mistrust of the people around her.
Selene's hair is kept short, approximately halfway to her shoulders. This is to avoid her hair getting in her way of whatever she happens to be doing at that time, while still appearing satisfactory to other nobles.
Selene's slim frame is usually clad in loose fitting garments, comfortable, but still fashionable enough to appear at any social functions one of her station must attend. While not the biggest fan of dresses, Selene will wear one if the occasion calls for it. In those cases, she prefers light blues to match her eyes, or dark reds to match her hair.

Selene Fortuna is the youngest of seven daughters born to the Count and Countess Fortuna. House Fortuna is an old and powerful family on Serenno, wrapped in the web of political intrigue and maneuvering. As such, her parents did not have much time for her as a child. Selene was raised by her six elder sisters, who taught her how to survive in the poisonous environment of the Serenno nobility.
When to bow, what to look at, who to make eye contact and who to avoid at all costs.
As the youngest of the Fortuna daughters, Selene knew from birth that she had no chance of inheriting the title of Countess. Her sister Arachne was currently in line as heiress, and Selene knew that her elders would see her dead before the youngest gained any power.
As such, she wished for something more, to excel while her sisters floundered their lives with vainly attempting to curry favor with their mother.
So she sought out training in combat. With the dissaproving gaze of her family on her, Selene became an adept duelist. Along the way, the young woman discovered her Force Sensitivity in a training accident. Now determined to make something of her life, Selene has left Serenno in search of adventure, and to discover her place in life.

Growing up among the noble families of Serenno, Selene has learned to fend for herself. The young woman is very proud, and refuses to apologize for her actions or admit when she is weak or in need of assistance. Still fresh from the smothering grip of her family, she is shocked and appalled at anything seemingly 'rude' or 'lacking in taste'. She is convinced that the rest of the galaxy is inferior to Serenno, and has a tendency to harp on others and their possessions and accomplishments.
She has a healthy distrust for strangers, believing they all want to use her for their own gain. Even those she grows to know she tends to keep at arms length in some aspects, due to the scheming nature of her family.
She is formal, restrained, and determined to make her own way in the galaxy.
