Ladies Night

There she was another run of the mill bar in the galactic -blah- she began to think to herself as she had seated herself at one of the stools right next to the bartender who was eyeing for two particular reasons. She was relatively attractive even through the layer of dirt which had settled upon her skin and she had just had enough liquor to make most women of her size collapse. High alcoholic tolerance got to hate on days like this when you just want to wash away your sorrows. Sighing she slid another glass to the barkeep and no shifted her posture so she could lean on the side of the bar and watch a throwing darts game that was going on. A few of her knives were visible as she was wearing a cloak today as people didn't much like a deck out women in leather hide. One human and hamadryas were enjoying a civilized game of individual skill. It wasn't really a fair game as the human had gotten his opponent all liquored up with a few bottles already and his aim was cross-eyed at best. One, two, three. Each one of the humans shots landed on the board one in the second inner most ring and the others partially scattered along the rim.

"Seventeen, six and inner ring. Nice throwing that is forty eight points," not a bad score for the lousy human who was already ahead by one hundred points from the original two rounds. The hamadryas was feeling the disorientation from having been to liquored up for such a game of skills. Holding up one finger she now stood up quickly feeling a bit light headed both from the rush of blood that was now being stirred from having stand up so quickly as well as the buzz she had developed. Leaning forward she would allow her hair to drape into her eyes before tossing it backwards attempting to get some sort of level-headedness before she went to challenge the human who was so cheaply trying to swindle the man of his cash. After all this was Nal Hutta perfect place and clientele for swindling she had seen it before who know maybe she could make a few bucks off of him as well. She staggered over try to look like the part of a the drunken female bimbo who was hoping to figure out a new game, "H-hey fellas." She grinned now strolling up behind the to players one arm wrapped about both of their necks before pulling them in and giving a slight drunken giggle. "C-could you two teach me how to play this game?" Trying to give a smile while also not sticking anyone with the knives that were beneath the leather cloak. thankfully it was sturdy enough to take the constant slashes that were the weathering of her just normally walking about.

The human grinned looking the chiss lady up, "You look like a mess dear perhaps we will start off simple then without any wagers happening?" As he said this she slid off their backs and shook her head, "Nooo I can't ruin the spirit of the game after all this is just a game." She reached into her cloak still concealing the content inside as she now pulled out a small satchel of credits. "Hmm how amout this buch," She smiled purposely swapping a few letters in her speaking.

Niyla had yet again found herself at another cantina. The loud murmur of staggering voices and smell of ale, cheap cologne, and sweat filling the aroma.

Just as she had remembered: unpleasant, to say the least. She was here on behalf of the mess she had recently caused at Mos Eisley, it was more than 'kind' of her to come here, yet the bounty she had caused from Reto was enough already, a girl of her esteem had no need of a bounty.

She had a deal to make, and if anything she could talk a drunk man into a good deal. Which was the case, as when she arrived the 'Powerful' man she was told she would be dealing with was already playing a game of darts, his posture alone giving away the state of his liquor intake.

His laugh was deep and gritty as a younger, more beautiful chiss lady who also seemed drunk had mentioned playing with them. Niyla rolled her eyes, she had not come here to play darts. Though she wouldn't rush him, her impatience would have to play nicely in this situation. She walked over to the darts, her posture very formal and upstanding, she was called for a weaving later this evening so she she was dressed accordingly.

Adorning a beautiful black top, which had etchings carved into it. A skirt of the same type laid across the floor, the ends seeming not to tether. Her pink hair fell long down her back, decorated with feathers and braided uniquely in certain areas. Her amphibious friend slithered up her back, seeming to take the position of a scarf to Niylas neck, though she showed no signs of discomfort.

"Jerax, correct?" She asked the Gungan, hoping he would have remembered what he had been informed to do.

"Pink lady, of yes meesa know what Issa has to do. But first can messa teach blue lady howssa to play darts?"

Niyla pushed her hair back, his annoying accent causing her to perch an eyebrow. Patience Niyla, it is only one game, perhaps it could grow interesting. She thought to herself, fluttering her eyes as she grabbed a seat to watch how the game would take place. The chiss lady seemed to stagger as well. Niyla was interested to see what she was like, the zeltron had only met so few chiss in her lifetime.

"Please do."

Lilin didn't drink alcohol. She thought it was unethical to drink anything like that and get drunk of it. Neither did she like spices or other narcotics. But that night was different. She had no wish to be highly cultured and proper at that eve -- all she wanted was to get away from anything which chased her. She wanted to be a normal person for once, not having to keep an eye out for possible dangers, not try to keep the darkness inside shut where it's supposed to be.

She would have given everything to be just like everybody else.

"Something lighter, please," she said to the bartender as she made it to the bar. She took a seat on one of the stools as she set her handbag on the counter to start looking for money. She didn't know if she had brought anything along, to be honest. And if she had forgotten it home, there was seemingly only one way to fix that thing.

There was the miraculous Jedi Mind Trick which she could have used to handle the situation.

She had to admit she'd never had such a day in her life before. No, we're not talking about the philosophical thing of "no two days are the same". The point was that Lilin had never actually felt so miserable in her life. Neither had she wanted to drink alcohol more than anything else. Normally she tried to wash her sorrow away with coffee (which had been successful, until now).

The Cantina was filled with the usual clientele they all were the same here, either you were leaching off of the establishment or was another lonely member of society trying to drink away their own sorrows. Irin had no reason for such subtleties besides she had an ignorant human to con out of his own cash. "So what would you say that we go all in on three darts," a smirk spread across her face before giving him a quick peck on his cheek. The mere thought of her actions for a simple con were revolting in her own eyes but she was running short on cash quickly. After all she just spent the last fifteen minutes sitting in this bar and drinking down what must have been at least three glasses. Sauntering over to the hamadryas she would quickly slip him down in a seat to watch the game. Biting her lip a bit nervously she would now begin to play with the dart, a finger tip pressing gently at the tip and yelping. "That is really sharp isn't it," saying it as childishly as possible before looking back to him. "Here could you go first to show me how it is done?"

"Of course I can do that doll," he smirked feeling victory in his grasp although he didn't want to be to harsh on the girl after all this might have been her first attempt and he could possibly ask her to come back to her place if he was lucky. All the possible thoughts that he was contemplating ran through her mind mostly being that the revolting swine wanted a moment with her after the whole ordeal. A scene that wasn't going to happen in his wildest dreams even if she had two bottles downed at that point. He made his move tossing one dart after the other the first one obviously thrown poorly to land near the base of the target hitting only the six point section. the next hit the eighteen times two sliver at the edge and the final hitting the three times multiplier for the fifteen. "Ahh there you go honey with that you have to beat eighty seven."

She frowned and bit her lip, "How on earth could I ever score that many points?" She looked at the board and tossed a dart that landed off it's mark and hitting the wall beside it. "Oh shoot this is harder than I thought," She nibbled her lip nervously and looked over to him before turning her back to him, a wicked smirk waxed over her features now as she tossed the second one with great form hitting the twenty with a tree times multiplier. He nodded his head chalking it up on luck before giving her a small round of applause. Afterwards she looked back to the dart tossing this one with incredible speed. The dart slammed into the dead center of the target. "So that is one hundred ten?" She grinned looking over to him and gesticulating now that he better pay up.

The young woman was already seated at the bar, her hand around a glass of hard liquor. She had just finished tying up loose ends with the Cartel that was established here. The passing of her boss weighed heavily on her. With all the change going on in lives, her position as his right-hand woman seemed constant. Now that he was gone, she didn't really know what to do. She knew she had to get back on her feet, back into the criminal business. But first, she had to clear her mind. A good hit of alcohol always did the trick.

"Something lighter, please." At the sound of the somewhat polite, quiet voice appearing next to her, Ashalah downed the rest of the rum. Setting the glass on the counter with a hard clink, she looked over at the woman. She watched her dig through her purse with piercing blue eyes. "Out of credits are we? Shame."

The sound of excited voices made her glance at a group on the other side of the bar, playing a game of darts. They didn't interest her at the moment, nothing that prompted her to get up and go to them. So Ash refocused on the human.

Niyla was impressed by the chiss beauty.

She sure knows how to play a man. The ringmaster thought, flipping her adorned hair back as she admired the chiss. She then interrupted the game, the gungan seeming embarrassed enough as he was just put to shame around his friends. "That was smooth." Niyla spoke with an obviously outplaced accent, her eyes focused on the chiss.

"Why don't I give it a try." A sardonic smile crept upon her lips as she rolled her eyes and took the 4 darts in her fingers, weaving them throughout. Niyla tossed one in the air and as it fell she smacked it with her hand, the dart hitting the poor gungans shoulder, his glass falling to the ground as it pierced his skin. "Eep!" He yelled, the music playing in the background silenced for a moment, only to return to the overplayed Jizz piece moments later. "Sorry Jerax, I just was remembering that one time you tried to kidnap me with your stupid rodian friend!"

In most cases Niyla would feel bad for him, though they had a history, and she felt little remorse for the kind of villainy as Jerax. She licked her lips nervously as she observed the shaking man, stepping closer to him and leaning to his ear.

"Here, for Mos Eisley. Now please tell Reto to leave me and the circus alone." She said in a whispered, more innocent tone. Niyla handed the gungan a bag of credits and walked past him, hoping to put his memory away forever.

Now that she was thinking about what had happened at Mos Eisley she wouldn't mind a glass of wine. She then returned her gaze to the chiss and smiled, stopping to speak to her. She was already dressed up for tonight, so she may as well make company.

Niyla tucked a strand of long pink hair behind her ear, looking deep into the red eyes of the lady in front of her.

"May I have the pleasure of buying you a drink?" She asked kindly, a soft blush flashing across her cheeks.

"No, I'm not out of credits," she muttered as she continued the frantic search for the money. She was able to tell there was some of that in her handbag -- she always had some money with her, just to be sure.

The bartender had just poured her drink and put the glass on the counter as she finally found the money. Now was the chance to take a glance at the person who'd talked to her before. She couldn't quite tell who she was, but she seemed to be somewhat wild. Yeah, wild was the only word Lilin could describe her with at the moment.

She took the glass and turned to the person.

"Who are you, may I ask?"

The night would definitely be interesting, she was able to tell.

As she smiled and stared at the human, the rather grumpy old man began to reach down toward his belt where he had both his wallet and a blaster pistol. A knife the size of her for arm quickly slipped up and placed itself against his chest. "Now now," she swooned her lips before being caught off guard suddenly by a pink skinned and haired girl walked up beside her asking to borrow the darts. She stopped with the knife instinctively slipping up his shirt half cutting it open as she stopped it at his neck still a bit confused. He then made a break for it when the dagger in her hand quickly left it flying through the air and hitting him right in the left cheek. "What in the world did you think you were going I didn't give you permission to leave," she hissed glaring down at the man now crumpled over the ground, "You were just about to scam this poor Hamadryas after getting him all drunk. And here you are sniveling on the ground after losing to a tipsy female Chiss. Cough it up and I will spare the other cheek the symmetrical scar." Scowling unpleasantly now wandering over and pulling the dagger out from his rump. A feminine voice spoke up behind her asking for the darts she didn't care to much and would hand them over before dealing once again as she wasn't entirely sure what the woman wanted them fore.

She now knelt over slightly and put one hand out as he slowly reached down to his wallet this time and slipping her the justly earned credits. "I'm not a cheat like, seriously no integrity. A man scamming a drunk, is like a woman scamming a man." She tossed her hair up and out of her eyes as she now looked back she had then looked back to notice that one of the four darts was missing. "Funny I don't?" Stopping mid thought she now looked and listened to the Gungan howling out in pain who surprisingly enough had a dart sticking into some of his shoulder. Clearly the girl who asked for the darts were putting them to good use. "Oh," she smiled mildly surprised that she wasn't the only one who just made a scene hers in fact paled in comparison as a few people stopped to look the pink woman over and then went back to their normal drinking habits. She now pulled her cloak shut and slipped both hands gripping on knives as she began to wonder how amusing it would be to hear the gungan squeal for mercy, sadly it looked like the girl who smacked the first dart into him had her fun.

The chiss woman shrugged, "Free booze? What type of member of drinking society would I be if I passed down that type of offer. Love what you did with that Gungan by the way next time ask me for a knife I would loan you one of mine." A smirk now spreading across her face as would begin to join the girl.

Ash kept watching her desperate struggle, her grey lips curling up in amusement. Just as the drink was placed before her, the woman found the money and handed it over. A deep chuckle arose from her throat. "Good. Now you don't have to be shot." She shrugged, ordering another drink of the hard variety. "They don't like it when you order and can't pay."

This woman was new to the bar scene, Ashalah could tell. And hopefully that made her gullible and naive. Those kinds of people were always fun to play with. "Is this your first time drinking, kiddo?" She knew the answer to that. She didn't need some lame Jedi mind-reading bantha shit to figure that out.

The woman inquired for her name. Ashalah didn't answer right away. Instead, she looked back at the new glass that was handed to her, taking a sip from its contents. Setting the glass down, her gaze went back to the woman next to her. "Azetha. And who might you be, kiddo?"

As the chiss responded to Niyla she perked up, adjusting her posture to make her body seem more 'attentive'. "Couteaux, non?" She spoke with a feminine tone, her accent reflecting the language of the zeltrons. She was interested in her to say the least, any woman who had a knack for blades was someone Niyla would acquaint herself with.

She spoke again, though this time she spoke galactic common. It was semi-diffucult to tell the words she spoke, as her accent was fairly heavy. "Why thank you dear, I try to entertain." She teased, "He and I had history..." Niyla rolled her eyes as she pushed her bangs from her eyes, pulling an empty seat from the bar out from under the table. "Asseyez vous s'il vous plait." She said, her words flowing gracefully from her lips.

"Please, sit." Niyla spoke again, recognizing that the chiss may likely not know her native language. "I am sorry, I never got your name?" She perched an eyebrow out of curiosity as she found her way into her own seat and looked across the bar to see [member="Ashalah Ky"] and [member="Lilin Imperieuse"] . The scavenger then looked back towards the girl, twirling her hair as she awaited a response.

"No, I've drank before. But not like that..." she muttered. "Not so seriously, not to get drunk."

She remembered the time after which she decided not to drink alcohol anymore. She didn't get drunk, but she did really dislike any kind of drinking. It didn't go along with her -- how could a defender of the galaxy be drunk and therefore not able to work properly?

"I am Lilin."

But now she didn't know what she was. Her head was a pot of clashing thoughts, of opinions which changed every moment. She was scared, she was afraid, yet she had courage. She didn't know who she was or who she'd been, not even speaking of who she would be in the future.

"I didn't mean your name, by the way." Her voice wasn't rude or unfriendly, though.

Irin watched the zeltron she had heard a fair amount about her type before, from what she suspect she must have been here for business purposes which was something that made her wonder why she would show such a temper. Perhaps there was something else behind the pink hair beauty that was strolling over toward the bar once again. She listened as the girl began to speak in her native tongue. That was a skill she intended to learn, but never got around to as she always was meeting with new employers that she couldn't understand which meant negotiations on her pay normally went rather south. "I'm afraid I don't know zeltron very well darling," she smirked before now sitting down beside the woman, her own elbows now finding a comfortable position against the counter.

"I imagined as much, not many woman will go out of there way to attack a stranger unless they looked at you funny," she smirked understanding that sometimes negotiations or deals went south. She once again spoke the graceful words rolled off her tongue, "I must admit the tongue of the zeltron is a pleasant one to listen to," She smiled at the girl as she contemplated asking her for lessons on the spot.

"Well there was so much action I'm not surprised as I hadn't really introduced myself, but that is not through our fault we were both busy with our dart play." She spoke up before looking to the bartender asking for another drink tall and strong, she winced her eyes as she had already drank a fair amount perhaps this would be the last call. "The name is Jesh'irin'rurno friendly neighborhood merc. And you?"

"If you didn't want my name, what did you mean?" How else was one supposed to answer to who they were? Ashalah wasn't going to identify herself by her occupation. She wasn't going to go telling her life story to anyone here. Especially not this little snowflake. "A name is all you need to know, Snowflake."

Her gaze drifted across the bar to the two women, [member="Niyla Alura"] and @Jesh'irin'rurno. Her eyes met the Zeltron's, she held the contact until the other looked away. Back at her friend. They seemed to be really hitting it off, getting along well. Which was better than what Ash was having on this side of the bar. But she wasn't here to make friends.

Then again, a friend is something she needs right now. Especially friends in high places. At least until she can find the Jackals again.

Niyla nodded as the bartender filled [member="Jesh’irin’rurno"] 's cup, she reached into her top and handed him a small card with foreign languages flashing across the side. "Alderanni wine please."

She smiled to him and looked back to the chiss. Her name intrigued the smuggler, it was one she had never heard before. "It is a delight to meet you Jesh'irin'rurno," Niyla perched her head to the side out of curiosity. "Am I pronouncing that correctly?"

The salvager was interested in the chiss, it is not often to come across one of her kind, especially not of her origins. A mercenary at that.

"And my name, Niyla. I come from the Alura Traveling Circus, proud ringmaster at your service!" She waved her hands dramatically, rolling her eyes as she did so.

"I know what you must be thinking, you know a circus right? You must think I am a freak. I get it all the time." She sighed as she sipped at the scarlet drink and pushed her bangs to the side.

"Actually, I meant the reason why you are here. Just a wanderer, perhaps? Or want to get drunk?" Lilin asked as she took a sip of that 'something lighter'. To be honest, she didn't like it at all. She had never thought alcohol was anything tasty. Yet she would not ask for something better or back down at that moment. Because she wanted to forget, wanted to ease her pains.

And alcohol seemed to be a good way to do that.

As her cup was filled once again she grinned happily, her hand greedily grabbing up her cup and planting her face back into her glass. She drank a few gulps down until she realized that it might be best to not drink herself under the table to quickly least of all with questionable people about, after all she didn't know Niyla well enough or trust anyone on this planet after the little escapade she was apart of.

"Yeah, for the most part," she nodded as she now began running a finger along the rim of the glass, almost in a fashion that would cause the annoying ring thanks to simple physics and harmonics. Jesh looked over watching the girl's head now tilted to peer over toward her in an inquisitive fashion as she was wondering if the pronunciation was correct. She eyed her Zeltron friend suspiciously as she knew that people being interested in you mainly meant trouble in some fashion or another, perhaps it was best to let this on play out. "Oh, you ran away from the circus again for a night of booze." She said partially rolling her eyes as she dived back into her drink. It was a bit hard to believe, Jesh hadn't ever seen a circus before let alone any one who would actually perform in one.

After taking her forth gulp she cringed and coughed a bit reaching that tipping point where she would start to have blurred vision and incoherent thought. Pushing the glass aside she decided it would be simpler if she walked herself home tonight and didn't just lay on this counter.

"I don't even know what a circus is if I must be perfectly honest," she laid her head on the counter as she grumbled. "I don't get out much least of all look into entertainment. Wait why would people from the circus be thought of as freaks?" She genuinely knew nothing about circus's so she had no stereotypes to place this girl into.

Bringing the cup up to her lips, she let out a chuckle. "No, I'm not here to get drunk." Tilting it up, she let the smooth liquid run down her throat. When she set it back on the counter, she felt a slight buzz. Not enough to leave her incoherent though, but she had to be careful. Best to cut herself off so she didn't seem like a hypocrite. Glancing across the bar, she noticed the chiss from earlier was already looking pretty wasted. "You don't have to get drunk to enjoy drinking." She more so said that in the direction of the chiss than the human, but she doubted the former heard her.
