[*]DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sneaky, Sneaky - A little spherical droid coated in reflec. It can zip around terrain quickly and without detection. Perfect for infiltration or getting past occupied foes or security personnel.
  • Singular Purpose - It's a slicer droid. It's not meant to fight, it's not meant to repair starships or cook and serve you food. It's a droid designed to slice into networks and other information systems and either retrieve, manipulate, or sabotage the systems and/or their data - and it was designed to be the best.
  • Learned - Twin processors give this droid quite the edge. It can learn from its mistakes, learn on the fly, and learn just by watching someone else do it. It's certainly no stupid droid.

Strengths:
  • [+] L33t haxx0r - It's a droid solely created for the purpose of friendly penetration testing or for gaining access to systems it's not authorized to access. Coupling twin processors, with one specifically dedicated to slicing and espionage, this droid is more than capable linking into wireless and wired networks and accessing them.
  • [+] Stealthy - A small size and a coating of reflec offer this little bot both ample visual and sensor-based detection.
  • [+] Speedy - The L33T-class has two forms: a ball form and a bipedal form. In the ball form, this bot can zip around at about the same speed as a BB unit. This makes for getting close to wireless access points and wired connections that much easier and faster. However, the L33T-class must be in its "walking" form to begin slicing or sabotaging.
Weaknesses:
  • [-] Armament - Short and sweet: it's only got a single, measly blaster pistol to protect itself and the data it carries. Not only that, the L33T barely has any combat programming and lacks an effective targeting system.
  • [-] Memory Wipes - Not wiping this droid of its information/data at specific intervals could lead to many, many breaches. Some go rogue and sell the data that they possess, some become even better at slicing and turn on their owners to "hone" their skills, and some others even show degraded performance. Aegis Systems is not responsible should your unit gain sentience and act upon its own.
  • [-] Little Ball of Death - While in its wheel/ball form, this droid is completely and utterly defenseless. Not only can it not protect itself, it can't even start its slicing or sabotage missions until it changes into its walking form.
  • [-] Still a Droid - As a droid, the L33T still has that inherent weakness to both ionic and electro-magnetic weaponry. Typically such weapons will completely fry the droid or disable it completely.
DESCRIPTION

The L33T-class Slicing droid is hopefully one of the first, if not the first slicing droid on the modern market. Designed and manufactured by Aegis Systems, this bot was created for sale within the closed market - solely to customers of Aegis Systems. To give an overview, the L33T-class has a singular purpose and that is to degrade enemy information systems or networks, manipulate, sabotage, or steal data/information and return to its owner safely.

As far as its physical design goes, this little droid is built for its mission. Small, smooth surfaces, constructed entirely of dura-armor and coated with a layer of reflec. Light and durable, the L33T has ample protection from both visual and electronic detection. It's form-changing system is fairly quick, taking a full three seconds to stand upright in its walking form to slice and another three seconds to collapse into a ball form for storage or speedy transportation.

A meager armament consists entirely of a single, small blaster pistol. However, its internal components are where this droid really shines. Possessing both a heuristic processor for increased learning capacity and a positronic processor for slicing and espionage runtimes, its programming and capabilities are more than enough to gain access to networks and systems. It also contains a fusioncutter and buzz saw for gaining access to the systems themselves or sabotaging internal components and a scomp link and other computer uplink cables. For data storage it's got a gabonna crystal storage unit with its own encryption module, this is for storing massive quantities of data and encrypting it immediately. A built-in comlink and antenna allow for the streaming of its encrypted data back to offsite sources.

As for its other gadgetry, an EnhanceScan scanner allows it to remain vigilant against a multitude of threats. The anti-security blade allows the droid the means of which to gain access into restricted areas. A slicer chip follows the same principle but also aiding in breaking into droids, vehicles, and other automated systems. The diagnostic systems diverter is a small device used to trick computer systems into ignoring breaches, therefore offering another avenue of entry into restricted systems. And finally, a gyroscopic stabilizer provides for enhances stability and strength; the Aegis SH13LD is for the droid's own protection against possible malware that could've been downloaded; and a self destruct mechanism that is triggered should the droid be compromised in any way, melting the two processors along with the memory crystal and encryption unit.

Summarily, this is an advanced droid for a closed and like-minded market. Sold primarily to white-hat slicers, governments and larger factions, the L33T-class slicer droid hits the market with gusto.

Aegis Systems is not responsible should you become the victim of a l33t haxx0r breaching your network.
