Description: The KT1 Battle Droid's are designed for mobility and accuracy above all else. Their body structure is designed with detail to allow for a human-like movement and slightly above-human speed. Agrinium and Durasteel, the two main materials used in making the droids, are light yet suitably strong enough for a droid to be agile yet not completely useless in a fight. Agrinium is well known to be used on Droid Armour, and here it is used as an inch thick plating around most of the outside body and is sprayed red after production (these parts are seen on the picture above). The technical innards and joints of the droid are made of Durasteel and are left unpainted, keeping the droids affordable and light. Accuracy can also be said to be an advantage of these droids, as their human-like movement and joints allow for more precise aim and miniscule movements.

However, as these droids excel in mobility and accuracy, they are slightly disadvantaged when it comes to fight in close-quarters or long range. At medium range they are fine, as their blasters are capable enough of hitting the target and they are programmed well enough to identify and maintain fire upon said target. However, at long range their blasters fail to hit much and their in-built vision is shortened compared to a human's anyway and so identifying targets at a long distance is extremely hard. This is due to a design setback. At close-quarters they can use their blasters effectively in full-automatic mode, however they fall short drastically in any melee situation, sometimes even malfunctioning at the thought process of melee. Due to this they can easily be outsmarted and out-strength in a melee battle, and their worst nightmare are Jedi who get close, as Lightsabers can easily cut through the droids. Also, various force abilities can affect them greatly, such as Lightning causing them malfunction or explode, and Telekinesis being able to rip their joints apart.

These droids primary purposes are Security Policing (acting as a Police force in Cities and Security at Bases) and as Battle Droids (for War), although the latter slightly less so. Their programming focuses on security protocol and Galactic Basic language speech, whereas their Battle programming is much more simple. It could easily be described as: See enemy target, shoot at enemy target. Move as ordered. Shoot at something when ordered to. Although it is mentioned earlier than the droid's like Melee abilities in fights, they can subdue much weaker targets during Security or Police work by exploiting a technique of bending the person's arm behind their back and forcing them to the floor. Any target stronger than the droid can easily break free though, and any fist fighting beyond the restraint is an unknown area for the droid's programming.
