B I O G R A P H Y

Born to a nomadic tribe of Ubese scavengers, Krotta always felt like an outsider among his own people. His natural sensitivity to the Force was seen not as a gift, but as a dangerous flaw that could expose the tribe’s hidden camps. The elders feared he would attract the attention of the Empire. To protect their secrecy, they traded Krotta to the Jedi Order, effectively exiling him from the only world he knew. He found an unexpected home as the Padawan to Master Gheera Bagh, a tall Togorian with a powerful, booming presence. This contrasted sharply with Krotta’s small frame and raspy, filtered voice. Under Gheera’s guidance, Krotta learned to focus his species’ strong survival instincts into a refined sense of the Force, allowing him to navigate the galaxy's most dangerous environments like a ghost.

His new life was shattered during a vicious Sith attack on their hidden temple. In the thick smoke and chaos, Krotta had to decide between retrieving his fallen lightsaber and supporting a group of Younglings as they fled from a collapsing ceiling. He chose to save the children, watching his weapon disappear into the flames while he helped them escape. Although he survived, the loss of his lightsaber brought him deep shame. For an Ubese, losing one's main tool signifies total failure. He retreated to the Outer Rim, burdened by the memory of his Master and the weight of his “failed” duty.

Now a young adult, Krotta travels through the galaxy's underworld disguised as a common bounty hunter. His youthful voice comes out as a dry, metallic rasp behind his traditional environmental mask. He refuses to build a new lightsaber until he feels worthy. Instead, he carries an empty hilt as a silent penance while supporting small groups of Jedi survivors and rebels. He prefers to be the grit in the gears rather than a hero in the light. He no longer sees himself as a true Jedi, but as a survivor who uses the Force to help those the Dark Side hunts find a way to breathe.

Strengths

• Force Potential: Being of Yoda's species, he has a strong potential to be an amazing Force wielder.
• Survivor: Descended from the Ubese who lived in the wastelands of Uba IV, Krotta has a knack for survival. He can breathe in atmospheres similar to his homeworld, often too toxic to his fellow humanoids. He also knows how to make due with scraps and scavenged tech.
• Independent: He does not require formal chains of command, making him effective in Wild Space, rebel cells, and decentralized movements.

Weaknesses

• Imposter Syndrome: He often feels like a "fake" Jedi. This prevents him from stepping up as a leader when he’s truly needed because he believes he failed the ultimate test of a Guardian.
• Equipment Anxiety: If his mask is cracked or his respirator starts to whine, he can spiral into a panic, as it is his only way to breathe. He trusts his gear more than he trusts the Force sometimes, which a Sith or an Imperial Inquisitor could easily exploit.
