Kreeta vit Courascant (Welcome to Courascant)

Finally they had come. With the use of the escort provided by the Republic a small shuttle was brought down to Courascant, the capital planet of the Republic. While it was an ordinary ship the contents, or rather the passangers, inside were of mosre interest. From the windows avaliable they were trying to peer out and see as much as possible. When the ship finally landed there was a moment where the Republic troops walked out to secure the landing pad. This being the first time this new species would be exposed to such a place was bound to gain attnetion but it was best to avoid the unwanted kind.

Stepping out of the ship, leading her small group of soldiers and scientists, was Lyzia Hunda, representative of Solovarna and the Soltaran people. And she, much like her fellow Soltarans, was taking in the amazing site of an entire city-wide planet. The massive buildings that were taller than the clouds. The level upon level of streets. The many ships and shuttles and transports buzzing about like insects. All of it was such a grand sight for a people who'd never advanced as far as most in the galaxy. It was both engaging and yet intimidating at the same time.

As they looked about the Soltarans began to see they were being noticed by locals. Obviously they were just as curious of them as they were the others. Among the many different species a lizard people like themselves must not've been that new, yet still it was there human-like feaure and yet reptilian bodies that did give them a slight unique feel.

"This is....amazing." Lyzia said, still looking about. "My word....so many spectacular things....and all of this is just one planet?"

"Indeed, ma'am." one solider said. "And, as per ordered, we're help escort you wherever you feel the need to go. Granted we'll have to report to the senate when called for."

"Oh yes, yes. Understood." she said, barley paying attention. "For now let us enjoy this new world." She called back to her people to stay close with the Republic soldiers while she, and one other soldier, began walking on thier own.

Having a serious talk with a disillusioned Republic military officer gave him much needed information, one of them particularly interesting. To confirm it, the Mon Calamari entered a dark alley and left as a human dressed in a Republic military uniform, wearing a brown overcoat with no Force signature whatsoever. Several medals proudly adorned his chest, indicating he had seen and survived many battles, becoming a hero. Unknown to the Republic forces, his fight against a certain Sith was his last. The man casually paced through the streets towards his destined building, passing a group of soldiers who greeted him with a salute, to which he responded with his own. Once inside the building, the colonel took the elevator to carry him to the top, the landing pads. While moving up, the man looked into the mirror to see if the projection worked perfectly, and upon seeing it did, he smiled. The door of the elevator finally opened and Pengel stepped out, his face stone. The Mon Cal's cybernetic eye watched the new race emerging from the shuttle along with several Republic soldiers. This meant his contact did not lie; a whole new species has been discovered and the Republic would do its best to swallow them, add them to the seemingly unstoppable war machine. Naturally, the young Sith could not allow that.

The colonel, probably in his fifties, clasped his hands behind his back and confidently marched towards the newcomers, watching them with cold gaze of his brown eyes. A large group stayed behind while two lone beings walked together. "At ease," said the colonel firmly as the soldier accompanying the female saluted, "Why don't you take a break, son? I'll welcome our guest myself." Watching the soldier nod and join the bigger group, Pengel turned to the female and smiled pleasantly. "Beautiful view, isn't it, mistress? Please, walk with me for a bit." His right hand motioned towards the path leading to the smaller area of the roof, one void of any unwelcomed listeners, "We might see a part of the Jedi Temple from there," explained the colonel and turned on his heels, slowly pacing towards the better view that allowed them to see hundreds of towers and buildings. "I am colonel Pengel, mistress. I have to admit, it is most surprising to find another new race after so many years of having space travel. The galaxy is truly endless..." He turned his head to look at the reptilian woman, studying her features. Avreet's cybernetic eye noticed the finest of details and stored them in its memory, making it easier for Avreet to remember her look.

"Please, tell me about your race, your world. I am very interested..." Giving the woman another smile, he listened to everything she had to say, focusing on her voice in particular. If he ever had to assume her identity like he was doing right now with the Republic dog he had killed a few weeks ago, he wanted his projection to be perfect, or at least as believable as possible.

@Lyzia Hudna

As Lyzia was waving to a zebrak child who noticed her and the rest of her species she looked when the colnel had arrived. Seeing how the soldier reacted to him before walking off Lyzia could assume as much that he was a man of authority. For a moment she was surpisred that he'd sent the soldier away before asking her to join him, it happening so fast Lyzia almost didn't realize it had happened. She just shrugged before following, nodding at the fact that he was a colnel.

"I must say, Colonel, I wasn't told of you meeting us here today." Lyzia noted. "Oh and please, it's madame. Not mistress. As I understand that word as a very vauge meaning among you aliens." After he asked about her people Lyzia began with "Well we're from an area you refer to as the 'Unknown Region' of space. My people have always belived we were the only life in the galaxy, not realize how terribley wrong we were in the end. Not to mention how such advancements in technology this galactic community has. Faster than light travel, droids. We've barley even begun in the feilds of space exploration."

"As you wish, madane," nodded the colonel, acknowledging her request. Some of his Sith manners were just too hard to get rid of it seemed, such as calling most women in that particular way, as one did not want to adress their superiors by lower rank. The Mon Calamari continued on his path, listening to the woman and remembering her voice as well as her appearance. He had no intention of using it, but it never hurt to be prepared. His boots tapped on the metal roof as he walked towards the edge and leaned against the railing, glaring at a portion of the hated Jedi Temple. If only he could fire a few missiles in its direction! This thought made him smile, though the projetions's face remained cold and neutral. If only the Jedi knew he watched them... Luckily, he knew how to control the incredible hate he felt burning in his heart at the sight of the Jedi Temple, not losing his focus he needed to maintain Force cloak, Force stealth and Force projection. It was not very hard as Force cloak and Force projection operated on bending light, practically being the same power.

Upon the revelation of the planet's position that lied in the Unknown Regions, Pengel tilted his head and glanced at the reptilian humanoid. Planet hidden this well could be used for many things, especially by people who were hunted down and needed to hide. A plan started to form in the young Mon Cal's head, though he could not throw it at the woman yet. No, for now he had to continue this charade of pretending to be a Republic colonel before revealing his true identity. Force knows how would have the woman reacted if he told her his true allegiance! Too risky right now, but the information of her people barely starting to explore the space looked like another plus. That most likely meant they would not massively expand and travel all over the galaxy, at least not the average citizens. It must have been a shock for the population to learn there are civilizations much more advanced than their own.

"Do you see that tower, madane?" asked the colonel politely when the woman finished speaking. His right hand pointed somewhere into the distance, but @[member="Lyzia Hudna "]would be able to see one tower of the Jedi Temple. "The Jedi Temple. That is where those gifted with Force sensitivity are trained, where they live and study, cut from the outside world. The humble protectors of peace and justice. The guardians of the weak. The eradicators of evil. Or so they say...when looking down upon the masses not gifted with the Force and waging pointless wars for religious differences, sacrificing millions for their cause."

She was glad the Colonel didn't mind her company. MAking new friends among the grand expanse of the Galaxy was something that would ensure greater union among the Soltaran people and the other species out in the galaxy. As such when he pointed out the Jedi temple she fixed herself to see before saying "On my. Such a grand looking place. I've met with one Jedi actually. Surprising how they're not just one big race I had thought them to be." Suddenly as the colonel went on to talk about how they were protectors and yet were also people who sacrificed millions. This made her look to him oddly before saying "Surley you do not mean that, colonel. You make them sound so...evil. Yet, as I understand it, the Sith are the evil ones."

"Have you ever met a Sith, madane? Or do you believe what one zealot told you?" asked the colone and turned to face the woman. "Don't you find it strange that the Jedi go from one war to another in the name of peace, that they claim to be the paragons of good and everyone who stands against them is evil and deserves to die in the most violent death possible? Is it right and good to destroy an entire civilization, tear families apart, bring misery, pain and hate just because of religious differences? Never meeting an actual Sith, yet being fanatically persuaded they are evil and hunting them down like animals in hopes of exterminating them? When the Sith Empire fell, everything should have been alright. The galaxy could finally rest after the war, people were happy....," Pengel chuckled, "No. Of course not. The ashes of the burned civilization and its dreams were still hot when the Jedi decided to declare another group as "evil" and launch an attack at them, slaughtering ordinary people who were guilty of defending their planet against the invader. Does it seem right? Does it seem just? Does it seem good? It doesn't to me. It only leads to more hate innocents feel towards the Republic and the Jedi, ironically making the enemies of the Jedi stronger..." The colonel paused for a moment before continuing, giving the woman some time to absorb his words and think about them, though he did not allow her to speak just yet.

"As a military officer, I have studied the Sith. Their culture, beliefs, anything that could help us fight them more effectively. And I found they are not monsters as the Jedi claim, not some...villains. They are just people. Ordinary people who have been gifted with the Force just like the Jedi, but they chose to follow a different road. Where Jedi promise and give false hopes, Sith don't. Sith act, madane. Instead of brainwashing people and directing their hate to other groups, Sith give people work, food, home. Or at least they used to until their Empire fell. Sith are also very pragmatic, so they do not kill innocents as the Jedi want you to believe. Why would they do that? There is nothing to achieve by murder, and such act is often seen as weakness." Hopefully @Lyzia Hudna would be able to see through the Jedi lies imprinted into her.

She seemed oddly confused by all this talk that the colonel gave. He seemed to know so much about the Sith and calling the Jedi zeleots and monsters. A part of her felt she understood and yet other parts of her were confused. Everything seemed so peaceful and many belived it was because of the Jedi and they working with the Republic. Now they were apprenlty the casues of war? It could not be....and yet maybe it could. But all the people she'd met seemed too nice to have been involved with such villainous sounding people. What could she say or do?

"I....I din't know what to say about that, sir." she finally, said, looking towards the temple again. "I mean....it just seems all too....imposing to understand."

"I understand how you feel, madam. But know that by joining the Republic, you are joining the Jedi and your people will be dragged into the next war that is really not your own. Your people will bleed, starve and die for the so called greater good, all in the name of peace, freedom and order. You will become tools, expendable tools of the Jedi to be wasted in their demented crusade through the galaxy. Of course, madam, if you don't join the Republic, your world will most likely be invaded and liberated. You and your family will face a wall, awaiting your end in front of an execution squad, accused of being an enemy of peace and probably conspiring with the so very evil Sith. And those of your people who will be found to be Force sensitive...they will be dragged into the Temple as little kids, separated from their parents and brainwashed to become ruthless, cold tools of destruction and intolerance. They'll have no feelings, in fact, they will kill their own family without hesitation if ordered to do so. And they'll claim it had to be done for greater good...they will become heartless monsters with no qualms of killing innocents if it suits their definition of good." The colonel took a breath and looked at @[member="Lyzia Hudna "], standing completely still as his breath stopped.

Avreet knew what he was about to do was incredibly risky, but he did not want to wait anymore. The Mon Calamari, invisible, waved his left hand and created a projection behind them, like a wall with an image of the two talking and looking into the distance, so the large group of people could not see them. When done, the Sith Knight walked to the opposite side of Lyzia, so she was between him and the Republic colonel. "Please, don't be scared now, madam." The colonel said and slowly started to disappear. "I apologize for introducing myself under name that is not my own, madam, but please understand that it was necessary." Came from the other side, in a completely different voice and Avreet slowly started to form seemingly out of nowhere. "I am a Sith," Avreet silently said as he appeared, "Do I look evil to you? Have I tried to rob you, rape you, murder you? No. And yet I am being hunted down like a wild and dangerous animal simply because my opinion on the matter of the Force is different. I am branded a murderer full of hate who kills innocents for mere amusement, a monster who wants to throw the galaxy into chaos, a power hungry madman hoping to exterminate entire races. I am none of these things. I have never murdered anyone, I protect the innocent victims of the Jedi holy war, I want the galaxy to be a peaceful and just place to live for everyone regardless of their race."

She was confused as to what the colnel what trying to say at first before she realized no one was noticing them. She looked away, thinking it some sort of trick or something, before she looked back and saw the colonel was gone and now some fish creature stood before her. When he called himself sith she backed away before pulling her blade out and saying "I shoud've known! You trickster!" But then he began to say how he wanted peace and how his kind were not monsters and all of the same things he was saying before. "Then why didn't you tell me this like a proper person? You used a disguise to get close to me. And why should I belive you?" The blade was still pointed at him. "You can account for yourself, but what about the rest of your Sith brothers and sisters? Can you say they're as peaceful as you?"

@[member="Darth Veles"]

Avreet's big amber eyes calmly watched the woman pulling out her weapon, yet he made no move to reach for his lightsabers. If things went completely sour, he'd be able to disarm her with his bare hands. "I apologize for the disguise, madam, but the Republic forces would have executed me had I tried to reach you, or even get on the planet. Also, you would not have listened to me if I immediately revealed my allegiance. I merely wanted to open your eyes and cure the poison the Jedi has injected into your heart, I wanted you to see me as a person and not as some villain." The Mon Cal said honestly and even bowed in apology. "The question is not if you can believe me, the question is if you can afford not to believe me if I'm telling you the truth. I fully understand this is too fast for you and you are presented with two completely different views and opinions, yet you have to choose and your word will most likely affect the future of your people. Yours is a very undesireable position, so I have to ask you to think about my words and the fact that I am the one hunted down for made up crimes and that you, madam, are very much alive despite meeting the so called "greatest evil in the galaxy", a true Sith."

"As for my brothers or sisters, I would have answered your question negatively if you asked me before the Empire's fall, but the slaughter that followed purified our Order, leaving only those who wish for peace and did not answer violence with violence. The same cannot be said about the Jedi. In their victory, they have grown confident they can take over the entire galaxy. Their greatest enemies are desperately trying to survive, so in their arrogance, they have not even rooted out the last remnants of once great Empire before going to another war, wasting more billions of young people. The Jedi pretend to promote peace and violently murder anyone with a dissenting opinion against their own, disposing of sentient beings as if they were nothing more than worthless pieces of meat! My parents are missing, my friends are missing, my...son is missing, all guilty of believing in peace!" The young Mon Cal said with a certain hint of sadness in his voice before getting the undesired emotion under control and his tone changed to calm again.
