KR-04
Systems Optimal
DESIGNATION: KR-04
FACTION: None
RANK: None
SPECIES: Droid
AGE: 0
SEX: N/A
HEIGHT: 1.8 m
WEIGHT: 950 kg
PHOTORECEPTORS: Blue
HAIR: N/A
SKIN: N/A
FORCE SENSITIVE: Negative
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Combat Mastery: KR-04 has an extensive database of weapons, tactics, machines, psychology, and xenobiology, making it a formidable machine in the field.
+ Combat Chassis: KR-04 is composed of a treated durasteel alloy, amplifying its durability to better withstand small arms fire.
+ Blending In: KR-04 is an assassin droid, and is capable of altering its synthetic appearance to to match most humanoid species. Further, after acquiring a sufficient sample, the droid is capable of flawlessly imitating any sentient's vocal tone.
- Density: KR-04 is remarkably dense, even for a droid; it is unable to utilize most vehicles as a result, and is under constant threat from unstable terrain.
- EMP / Ion Damage: As with any droid, KR-04 is vulnerable to electromagnetic pulses and shots fired from ion weapons.
- Disguise Frailty: KR-04's synthetic disguises limit its mobility and the motors that power its joints can be too powerful for the artificial tissues to hold; it can either flawlessly pass for a sentient or bring its full physical abilities to bear, but never simultaneously.
APPEARANCE:
On its own, KR-04 is a treated durasteel humanoid combat chassis, looking similar to the old YVH droids of old. And while it can alter its appearance in its downtime to suit its purposes, KR-04's "default" disguise is that of a light-skinned Human male with a dour countenance. This disguise is achieved with a strong layer of synthskin upon a strong layer of biofiber, which means that KR-04's disguises are either muscular or corpulent without exception; any less runs the risk of exposing the machine for what it is.
BIOGRAPHY:
KR-04 is the fourth iteration of a line of combat prototypes that never saw full-scale production. Centered around infiltration rather than direct combat, the KR series of droids were quickly found wanting; the first iteration was seen all too quickly, the second iteration fell entirely too fast when the blaster bolts started flying, and the third - while finally succeeding at being a basic infiltrator - was simply too slow to terminate most sentients in its crosshairs. Investors came and went and the company responsible for the droids folded within a year after debuting on the market, but the lead designer was certain she was on to something, and continued designing the latest prototype, embezzling millions of credits from her investors to do so. KR-04 was activated shortly thereafter, and exceeded the company's excruciating standards.
It was too late to save the fledgling company, however, and the designer was caught and imprisoned shortly thereafter. KR-04 finds use in bounty hunting, its abilities used to help recoup the financial losses that its creation caused.
WEAPONS:
- 1 T-6 heavy blaster pistol
- 1 RT-97C heavy blaster rifle
- 14 Baradium-core code key thermal detonators
SHIP: Nothing regular; KR-04 often steals ships to suit its needs.
KILLS:
BOUNTIES COLLECTED:
