The Kova Metal Gloves are that extra bit of flair to give the wearer a measure of advantage if they're ever fighting hand-to-hand. Aside from being exceptionally stylish, the clawed hands will leave some ugly scars if they find purchase in a fight, making them a useful addition to the outgoing woman's combat gear.
However, that's more or less all they do. While the gloves don't break too easily and will protect the wearer against knives, they are meant to enhance combat style and fashion sense rather than to act as armor; if you want protective gauntlets or some such, look elsewhere.
