Korribanlandscape.jpg

Korriban. The ancient home-world of the original Sith species. Numerous tombs and ruins were dotted about it's arid landscape, the perfect place to discover the mysteries and artifacts of the dark side.....and to hide. Imperius, an infamous sith assassin and an apprentice to Darth Vornskr had recently arrived, hunting a renegade Jedi Apprentice who'd racked up quite the sizable bounty. But Imperius had not come for the money, he had no interest in it other than for his own aims. He had come to add another lightsaber to his collection, another kill to his tally. Standing in the center of the Valley of the Sith Lords in the middle of a sandstorm, he waited for his prey to arrive, clutching his lightsaber in one hand ready for battle. He knew the Jedi would come, it was just a matter of....patience, something Imperius had in great amounts when hunting his targets.

Tugoro had arrived on the planet several days ago, for he had been sent to investigate a disturbance on the Republic world. The young Padawan knew fully well of Korriban's dark origins, and had decided to venture out from the remote village, towards the infamous Valley of the Dark Lords. An incredibly overwhelming aura of negativity became more and more apparent as Tugoro grew closer to the tombs, his speeder bike coming to a sudden halt, spraying sand here and there. Hopping off of the vehicle, the Jedi would begin to examine his surroundings, looking at the several pillars that stood upright. Were they coffins? The ancient looking skeletons that decorated the immediate area hinted at such. Even so, the most impressive aspect of the landscape were the grand tombs, ones that loomed high over the boy's head. They possessed the most dark side energy, even though there was another specific signature present.

The boy's clenched hands would loosen, allowing his open palms to hang by his side, ready to draw up his weapon at a moment's notice. His neck would crane from side to side, as his mind reached out with the force. His bright aura's influence would begin to spread, as he sensed out any and all individuals within the area.

Sensing the arrival of his prey, Imperius slowly began walking through the sandstorm engulfing the valley. Tugoro might feel the dark side around him growing in strength as Imperius drew closer. The sound of his breathing respirator would soon be heard in the distance, a noise that instilled pure dread into his enemies. It was the sound itself of death quickly approaching.....Tugoro would soon notice the black silhouette in the distance, obscured by the sand. A long black cloak trailed behind the shadow, almost forming an eerily familiar outline as he approached...

The young Jedi's mind would delve deep into the force, accessing it's neutral sensing abilities. Thanks to his enlightening lesson in sensing, the boy's grasp on the power was considerable, allowing him to peer several miles ahead and feel all life force around him. The one that stood out the most belonged to [member="Imperius"], a man who's very being was shrouded in darkness. It was a familiar feeling, for the young Jedi himself had also accessed the dark side's power in the recent past. Tugoro did not know who this man was, but as far as he could tell he was well versed in the dark side. Moving his hands quickly, the young Padawan would snatch up two saber hilts as he reached for his waist. Pulling on the cylindrical objects, the brown haired lad would free them from his belt's restraints, as he began to stride forward.

His vision would narrow as his eyelids squinted, allowing him to focus on the distant sand storm. Someone was in it. The strange breathing that was emitted through his mask would echo through the valley, somehow overwhelming even the winds that blew continuously. Tugoro's thumbs would slide over his weapon's activation switch, causing two beams of plasma to ignite. One was a crimson saber with modified reach, it's blade extended farther than most. While the other was a complete opposite, for it was a shoto design that was colored pink.

Imperius suddenly stopped walking, gazing at Tugoro with a near intimidating silence, other than his respirator, of course. For what seemed like ages, he simply stared at Tugoro unnervingly before suddenly striking! He decided to use his surroundings to his advantage, mustering the force, he blew a precise gust of sandy wind towards Tugoro's face to temporarily obscure his vision before quickly igniting his blade and speeding towards him in an attempt to strike at his midriff vertically with great speed. If such an attack was successful, Tugoro would likely be cut in-twain unless he acted quickly!

Tugoro had expected nothing but hostility, for it seemed to leak off of @Imperius. The boy would remain unwavering as the armored man came to a halt, apparently examining and assessing the situation and opponent? The youth could not be sure, for the mask that enveloped his head prevented him from seeing his eyes. All that could be grasped was the ominous respirator that sounded out repetitively. Thrusting both of his arms forward just as the Sith did, Tugoro would begin to erect a force barrier, calling upon the force energy within and around him. It was not one of his most practiced techniques, however it was still formidable against the sandy winds due to the Jedi's genius like mind. He learned and refined techniques and powers at a faster rate than most, which would be key in surviving this encounter.

The sand would part around the boy, along with the telekinetic energy the dark sider had sent forth. Having already raised his arms, the Padawan would delve into his Soresu stance, one that he used frequently, and was quite adept in. His body would move at the last second, gracefully bending it's torso backwards in a display of flexibility. The tip of the Sith's saber would skim across the boy's tunic, causing a significant burn mark. Pushing off of the ground at the same time, Tugoro would create a small distance between the two foes, as he continued to assess the situation. This guy was pretty skilled, though the boy figured if he put his mind to it, he would be able to contend.

Imperius spun on his heels, his saber gripped tightly as he slowly circled around Tuguro, silently probing him visually for any weaknesses he might exploit. The masked assassin knew the dark side would be with him in this fight, especially in such a sacred place to the Sith. Clenching his clawed fist, he suddenly punched it forward, channeling a blast of volatile force lightning towards the Jedi in an attempt to both stun and perhaps test his defenses.

The boy's vision would narrow as his eyelids squinted, allowing him to focus on his enemy that was before him. He could feel the dark side energy building up within him, though he was unaware of what he would do. [member="Imperius"] began to circle the young Jedi, in an attempt to take advantage of any opening present. However, the Padawan would hold his shoto saber close to his body, by the side of his torso, while his extended saber pointed forward at the cybernetic Sith. It would turn as Tugoro's body pivoted, ready to defend from any strikes that would be sent his way.

Force lightning was not something the brown haired lad liked, though he had been wanting to test something out. Both of the lads arms would thrust forward again, as he held his sabers firmly. With his mind, he would begin to manipulate the force energy around and within him, causing it to flow from his arms and into his palms. It would leak out into the physical plane, taking the shape of a telekinetic shield once again. The force barrier Tugoro employed would take the brunt of the lightning blast, however it did cause him to skid backwards several metres. The Jedi would quickly get back into his stance, waiting for the next attack. This guy seemed dangerous, though the Padawan was stronger than he seemed. Even so, he would need to conserve stamina, for the lightning had done it's damage, even if he had defended from it.

Imperius let out a monotonous laugh as Tuguro blocked his bolt of force lightning. ''Very good.....'', he said in a slightly sarcastic, monotonous tone. Raising his hand into the air, he lifted a large boulder behind him up into the air before throwing it towards him with great force. ''Your form is sloppy, Jedi. You lack discipline.....no wonder your order has abandoned you!'', he said before cackling mockingly.

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

Tugoro would attempt to remain focused, while listening to the Sith's mockery. The dust and debris would settle, as the powerful burst of lightning dissipated into the air. Another flux of power was felt within the boy's mind, as [member="Imperius"] began to utilize his telekinesis abilities. The young Padawan would take a quick step forward, swinging one of his blade arms up in an effort to slice the boulder. The boy's crimson long saber would part the rock with ease, causing it to travel past him, leaving him unscathed.

The momentum it had built up caused a kinetic wind to fly past the Jedi, his hair blowing wildly in the wind. Knowing that his abilities were competent, Tugoro would try to ignore the Sith that continued to criticize him. With both of his arms wielding his sabers, the Jedi would kick forward, moving across Korriban's surface in order to close the distance between him and the enemy. The boy would delve into a Makashi stance, holding his red saber low as his feet became balanced and ready. The tip of his weapon would begin to thrust forward multiple times, hoping to singe Imperius' arms and legs. The shoto blade he held was kept close to his body, ready to move in defense.

Imperius smirked inside his helmet as Tuguro sped towards him. Anticipating his attack, he moved to one side to avoid his thrusts, attempting to strike Tuguro across the face mockingly with his clawed cybernetic hand. ''Is this it? Is this all you can muster against me? Pity, I find myself quite disappointed. I thought this battle would be more of a challenge!'', he said in a mocking tone, cackling slightly.

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

The boy's quick strikes had failed, allowing his body to slight move slighty past [member="Imperius"] as he dodged. The Padawan wanted to keep the action up, for he believed his stamina was greater than this. Tugoro would come to a halt, planting his feet firmly onto the ground as he delved into a Soresu. Instead of using his maneuverable shoto saber, the Jedi would opt to dodge the clawed strike, jerking his torso to the side quickly, while his head leaned back. The bladed fingers of the Sith would sail right past the boy's face, not actually touching him to his surprise. This man sure seemed powerful, though Tugoro was able to keep up. He wondered what forms this man used, and how he could win by using his own.

Tugoro decided to attack quickly, lifting his arm to swing the crimson blade through the air, hoping to have it sweep away the Sith's cybernetic arm. The attack was agile and accurate, though he wouldn't be surprised if Imperius was as well. He acted without hesitation, ignoring whatever the man had begun to say beneath his mask.

Imperius quickly moved his arm out of the way, quickly strafing around the boy before sending one of his cybernetic feet towards Tuguro's stomach, attempting to kick him violently to the floor, and perhaps break a few ribs of his in the process. ''I will teach you what real pain is, bantha filth!'', he yelled threateningly while he carried out his violent assault upon the young Jedi Padawan.

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

The boy's saber would unfortunately whiz past [member="Imperius"]' arm, for the Sith proved to be faster than he looked. Even so, Tugoro was rather agile himself, and with the aid of the force he would maneuver himself to avoid the blow. The Sith and his mockery continued to whittle away at the youth's mental defenses, for he believed that the Acolyte would never know true pain. Tugoro had seen many disturbing things during his time, regardless of how inexperienced other Jedi might consider him. Applying his Soresu form, the Jedi would begin to move, jerking his torso to the side quickly while he leaned, allowing Imperius' kick to sail right past his side.

Pushing on the ground, Tugoro would hop to the side, aiming to move and rotate himself in order to face the Sith, who had moved as well. After his defensive actions, the Padawan would quickly go on the offensive, keeping his feet moving as he aimed to walk around the armored individual. He was sure that the man would be able to keep up, for the Jedi was simply employing Makashi basics. While his foot work moved precisely and elegantly, Tugoro's arm would thrust forward repeatedly, aiming for the Sith's blade arm with many accurate jabs of his crimson blade.

Imperius held his lightsaber high before swinging it down towards Tuguro, striking towards his shoulder at high speed. While the Jedi was occupied with such a strike, Imperius reached for one of the trophy lightsaber hilts attached to his belt, pulling it free before igniting the blue blade and attempting to ruthlessly slash at his exposed torso before Tugoro had time to muster his own defenses!

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

Tugoro's attack had apparently failed. Instead of landing upon any cybernetic flesh, the youth's saber would collide with [member="Imperius"]' own, as the Sith performed a powerful overhead strike. The boy's crimson colored saber would be locked in place for a brief moment, while his pink shoto saber remained close to his body. Even while dealing with the strike dealt earlier, the Padawan was able to defend himself, sweeping the maneuverable, short blade across his body, allowing it to impact with the new weapon that the Sith had drawn. Using the man's balance, Tugoro would push off of his lightsaber, allowing him to take many steps backwards and away from the foe.

A few beads of sweat would form on the Padawan's brow, as he felt a sting in his arms. The man's strikes were powerful, he would have to resort to Soresu if he wanted to prevail.

Imperius disignited both of his weapons, sheathing them on his belt before channeling the force through his body. ''Your muscles strain, your defenses fail. And now, you will experience the full power of the dark side!'', he said in a hateful tone. Focusing the dark side through himself, he thrust both of his hands forward, unleashing a powerful force push towards Tugoro. It sped forward, sending various chunks of rock and dust towards the boy.

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

"Dark side?" Tugoro would question, wearing a smug, almost relaxed looking expression. The youth was obviously taunting the older Sith, and didn't seem to be stopping there. "Not impressed." He finished, focusing briefly in order to draw a focused amount of force energy in his immediate vicinity. An invisible barrier of energy would surge forth and stand it's ground, meeting [member="Imperius"]' own telekinetic farce. It held quite a punch, however Tugoro's defense was just as formidable, for he had developed it to a much more advanced level. The rocks and dust would fly by the youth's face, a small stone smacking him in the head. It hurt, though it wouldn't bring him down.

As he remained on the defensive, Tugoro would begin to think through several strategies, not sure as to which one would work. This guy seemed relentless, and powerful too.

Imperius chuckled slightly through his helmet. ''Your cocky nature only speeds your downfall, boy.'', he said with a smirk beneath his helmet. Raising his left hand, he levitated a nearby boulder before throwing it violently towards Tugoro. While it sped towards him, he quickly drew his lightsaber hilt once more, readying himself to strike as soon as the boulder either distracted or floored the Jedi...

[member="Tugoro Taidarious"]

Tugoro's vision would narrow, his eyes squinting as he glared at [member="Imperius"], obviously disapproving of the Sith's choice of words. It was true that the boy was extremely cocky, for his prowess with the force was greater than most of his age and experience. Still, he did not go without his flaws, for sometimes his confidence got the better of him. Still analyzing the situation and enemy, the youth would groan in annoyance, feeling the sudden surge of energy as the Sith reached out with his telekinesis. The boulder nearby would begin to shake slightly, before lifting off the ground and hurtling itself at a decent pace towards Tugoro's posiiton.

Drawing one of his arms backwards, the Jedi would begin to concentrate, pushing all doubt and emotion from his mind as he focused only on the force energy within and around him. It would gather around his hand, molding itself to the shape before launching forward as Tugoro thrust his palm forth. The telekinetic power that Tugoro had summoned would shoot through the air, condensed into a small fist shape that would impact with the boulder, causing it to explode in a demonstration of power. That would show this Sith who he was dealing with, Tugoro thought, as he lowered his arm from his vision, having raised it to protect his eyes from any debris. And there Imperius was, right in front of him, arm already swung back in preparation for an attack. Managing a block last minute, the boy would lift his crimson saber in the strike's path, feeling the momentum of the blow as he soared backwards through the air, both sabers lost from his hands as he lay in the dirt, struggling to get back onto his feet.
