Knighted by Fire (Solo, Past RP)

William Tarin
Jedi Padawan
One Year Ago
The Republic Cruiser slipped out of Hyperspace into the orbit of Coruscant, edging slowly into the atmosphere. In it's command bridge stood William alongside his Kel Dor Master, Shi Kaan. "You did well." Kaan nodded, placing a hand on his Padawan's shoulder. William smiled, thanking his master with a nod. "I believe you are ready. Once we are back, I'll speak to the council." The Padawan smiled again, suppressing his excitement. Finally he was going to be a Jedi Knight, like his uncle was before he died.

Arriving at the Jedi Temple, Master Shi left his Padawan and made his way to the Council chambers. Now alone, William decided to wait in the Archives. It was only a few hours before a Togruta came to him, bowing politely. "The Council wishes to see you."

The Council Chambers were new to him, yet the face of it's members were not. All of the highest Masters of the Order, aswell as his own Master, who stood in the centre of the circle awaiting him. As William approached, Master Shi's lightsaber ignited, pointing at his Padawan. With a nod of his head, the Padawan kneeled before the bright green blade as it cut the braid which hung from his hair. "Congratulations, William. You are now a Knight of the Order." Rising to his feet and touching the stump of hair that was once his padawan braid, William smiled. "Thank you, Master."

"We have an assignment for you already, Knight." One of the Master's spoke, a Quarren with long, yellow robes. "You must go to Mustafar, with Master Shi, and investigate a mining facility that has gone silent. Normally the mining company would handle it, but the Council have felt something bad about it, and advised that one of our own investigate first."

"Very well, Master." William bowed, turning alongside Shi. "Let us make haste, this could be something very bad..." His former teacher said, setting off to the hangar, with William shortly following.

William Tarin
Jedi Knight
The heat of Mustafar made William feel slightly sick, yet he endured it. His Master stood beside him as they both overlooked a giant river of lava, on the other side of which was the mining facility they came for. "After you, Master." William grinned, gesturing an arm over the ledge. Shi nodded, leaping from the cliffside and landing perfectly beside the lava. Without even looking back, he then jumped across the lava with another perfect landing.

Unfortunately, William couldn't say the same about his landing. When he landed his feet lost their grip on the stone, causing him to begin sliding towards the lava rapidly. In a state of panic, William jumped again, feeling the force aid his flight until finally landing on the other side; sprawled on his front. A short laugh came from Master Shi, before a helping hand reached down from him.

Once he had stood up and brushed the dust from his outfit, William followed Shi up the steep climb to the edge of the mining facility. Vaulting a black metal railing, they saw a long walkway leading to the main building of the facility. "In there." Shi pointed, before leading his old Padawan across the bridge. "The blast doors are locked..." He sighed, bringing out his lightsaber and igniting it's green blade. Plunging it into the door, he began to slice it open while William kept watch.

That was when they heard the unmistakable sound of another lightsaber igniting, and it sure wasn't Williams...

"You should never have come here!" A voice from above shouted, as both of the Jedi looked up. The Sith jumped down inbetween William and Shi, igniting his red lightsaber. Shi was still cutting the door, and unable to aid in the fight unless he wanted to halt his progress. "I've got this." William said, taking out his lightsaber and igniting it's yellow blade. The Sith attacked first, twisting himself rapidly to send a flurry of strikes from the left and the right. Yellow and Red clashed as William blocked each strike, waiting for an opening. After only a few more swings, he found it. Channeling the force into his leg, William sent a powerful kick into his opponent, right inbetween his strikes. The Sith went flying backwards, his lightsaber rolling off the walkway and into the lava below. William rushed to him, holding his lightsaber by the Sith's neck. "Surrender." He said, but all too soon.

Shi managed to slice the door open, yet the metal he had cut came smashing into him once it was free. Using the force to push it off himself, he saw two Sith on the other side, both with their red lightsabers ready. He ignited his green lightsaber, standing up and assuming his Djem So opening stance. Without thinking, William lunged downwards, stabbing the Sith below him right through the chest. Pulling his lightsaber out of the dead man's chest, he stood beside his Master.

Both of the Sith flew forward quickly, bringing an overhead strike to their opponent. Blocking easily, William sent his elbow crashing into his opponent's stomach, pushing him backwards with the force. Shi was forced to his knees blocking the strike, but managed a sweeping kick to send the Sith crashing down onto the metal floor. Just as the Kel Dor brought his lightsaber above his head, ready to finish his opponent, the other Sith threw his lightsaber at him, slicing straight across his stomach. William roared with anger as his Master toppled over and fell to the lava. Filled with anger, he brought his lightsaber straight through the neck of the Sith infront of him, killing him instantly.

The final Sith stood up, breaking into a flurry of strikes towards the Jedi. William met them with his own strikes, his rage fuelling his strength to overpower the Sith and disarm him. With no lightsaber, the Sith stood helpessly as he started to be sliced apart by William's rage. Only when the Sith's remaining parts had fallen into the lava did William stop, letting out another angry cry. He leaned over the railing of the walkway, feeling the emotions run through him. No Emotions. This is the path to the Dark Side.

He finally managed to calm himself, as entered the main building. Inside lay dozens of dead workers, lightsaber marks all over their bodies. As he was about to investigate further, his holocommunicator beeped. An incoming message, no doubt from the council. Bringing it out, he accepted the message...
