Description:The new corporate office of Kingdom Group is the perfect image of clean, modern design. The exterior is fairly minimal, and features tall windows that let in an abundance of natural light. The balconies, patio, and walkways surrounding the building are sheltered from elements by the oversized roof. Located on one of the busiest streets in the business district of Sejong City, the area is bustling with activity, but there is a small park across the street for those that would like a quick break. The building is within walking distance of several cafes and restaurants, for any employees that wish to dine out for lunch.
Inside, the polished surfaces and sleek design create a stylish work environment. Employees and guests are greeted in the lobby area by light-toned wood, a small interior garden, and work by local artists. The first level sets the overall tone for the entire building, there is a focus on function, but also a strong sense of attention when it comes to quality of space. Along with the reception area, there is also a cafeteria, a small caf shop, and a number of informal meeting rooms and open work spaces located on this floor.
Levels two through four are reserved for general office space and conference rooms. However, there is an employee kitchen/lounge area located on the third floor. These floors feature views of the city, natural light, and office furnishings that foster an upscale and urban feel. The top floor is reserved for the offices of Kingdom Group executives, and their boardroom.
History: Following the decision to relocate the corporate offices, Kingdom Group found the perfect location in Sejong’s business district. An older office building was previously located on this lot, but was demolished after Kingdom took over. They wanted this office building to be a modern symbol of their company, and designed it with their specific needs in mind. It was important that the offices project an understated authority, and an airy feel that lends well to building a creative and productive atmosphere. With the move from Dargul now complete, the company is looking forward to expanding on Seoul and other worlds.
